So there's a lot of weapon guides out there... some can go for up to an hour... some even more. Upon reflection I thought this might be daunting or off-putting to new players, or players that may be considering trying a new weapon. So I decided to create really quick, bare bones demonstrations of weapons just to get people started. Hopefully it encourages people to try new weapons and new ways of playing in this incredible game.
Time stamps
00:01 Intro
00:28 Basics
03:22 Demonstration
Music used:
Meowcenaries - Mana Ogura
Stage Of The Strong (Arena Theme) - Miwako Chinone
For this video, I also used an Audio clip from the recent Monster Hunter Legends of the Guild film just for a bit of fun. - Ігри
As someone who changes weapons nearly every mission these have been great and I've watched them all. Easy way to simply jump into a weapon or get a refresher!
I'm glad you've found them useful! That's exactly what I intended them for 😊
Seriously dude. Playing every wep except gs is a blessing and a curse.
Tip: when the gauge gets red use it to recover stanine while you keep attacking so you don't waste time nor break your dps
My ADD brain really appreciates the concise to-the-point style man, thank you!
I'm glad it helped you! You're most welcome!
This guide is perfect for my monke brain!
Jokes aside great video, i learned alot more in this video rather than the more detailed ones (cause it's too long and boring), simple and clean 👍
Awww awesome! I'm glad it helped you!
Thank you for these bite size vids the other quickly overwhelm me, this one serves as a perfect intro to the weapons to really get a feel for what works. 😄
That's the idea! Glad it helped 😁
Quick and awesome guide man. I love it 😀
I needed this, I’ve been wanting to play a different weapon for a while since currently I’ve only played Greatsword but I have been wanting to try something different. Especially how on sunbreak dual blades are incredibly good with how elemental weapons are a lot better
Hey great video! You're concise and informative. Keep it up!
Thanks so much!! That was the idea 😁
This is awesome, I really appreciate these guides
I feel like dual blades are definitely a good choice for beginners! One of the fastest weapons in the game.
I agree! My partner looked to them and has never looked back 😂
@@KingRobRool gotta go fast lol
I beat the game with hammer and now using db it feels so liberating.
every RPG game twin blade always about fast quick attack
Good video no nonsense and clear to the point 👍 subbed
Thanks Scott, appreciate it 😁
Quick. To the point. Subscribed.
These videos are awesome dude keep it up
Thanks so much for the feedback! Aiming to post the next two by next week 🙂
I like most of the other weapons in monster hunter (apart from the bowguns, im not here to play a 3rd person shooter) but I gravitate towards duel blades because of the ability to move just faster while fighting, I hate getting caught by some attack solely because Im to slow.
beauty im good with rang trying to learn melee now i hate 20 minute videos so this is perfect time to test the blades out now thanks
Hey, trying out rise for the first time after getting world nearly 5 months ago, seriously thank you for the guide
these videos are perfect, ty
Great video!
Thank you! 😁
Thanks for a quick vid! Dont need a 30 min drawl. I love dual blades for their speed but I'm not great at MH...yet...flexed with Elden Ring so I'm up for the challenge!
Have fun! You'll get there in no time 🙂
Im dipping myself back into MH after my catastrophe back at MHW,i think i found my weapon of choice thanks to you!
That's awesome! I'm glad to help you get back into the series 😁
I see how the dual blades work now.
Thx for the guide.
No problem! Glad to have helped 🙂
Thank you for the simplicity!
You're welcome!
Been using a duel blades for awhile now but it's mostly just Y and B combo, didn't know that Piercing shot exploded lol
Thank you!
Loving these videos since I just got the game on sale (Rise + DLC deluxe on switch) and it is my first monster hunter game. I didn't I would like it too much, but then seeing the different weapons I can switch to before a mission (not locked to one), I had to check out the insect glaive and that thing is fun even though hard to master (will stick to the dual blades and switch axe for now).
I thought of switching to bow, but had to do arena quest for Mighty Bow Feather thing & went up against Rajang with Dual blades (never played them) and oh boy did i have fun. Then went against rathalos & discovered demon flight. I was non stop hunting 6 hours last night just whooshing around. Such good fun.
Glad you're having fun 😁
Love your videos man. They beyond useful.
Thx for the video
thnks. ive been setting goal to play at least 100 times for each weapon. now moving on to the 5th one. all used your quick guides to start
That's great to hear! Glad I could help 🙂
I mainly chose the dual blades for speed... Thank you for this kind sir 🤭
I only play with dual blades cause I cba with any other weapon they are so much more clunky I’m not saying I don’t have the capacity to learn bigger weapons but I love how easy and fast they are it just makes combat fun to literally fly around like Levi from AOT
i feel like thats kinda the point of those weapons like hammer.
Hammer and bow might be ones to try if you like dual blades and want to try something different. Has that same hit and run and keep up the attack (though hammer you have to wait for more openings, otherwise you're just doing little hits and charge level 2 uppercuts while you wait)
I was playing regular db. It’s fun but I love aerial db feels like it should.
LoL I didn't know that the second wire bird forward attack makes you invulnerable, nice tip. I live running down the spine of monsters :)
It's a wild weapon! High speed and lots of fun 😁
Ah yes! My main! As someone who is still only playing the older games, seeing these animations are alien to me, really curious to how it would feel like when playing them myself.
Dual Blades are absolutely great for adrenaline seeking hunters, your reaction and speed have to be at least at the same level as the monster your hunting, preferably superior. Some attacks are great as dodge mechanics, even when attacking while "dodging".
A few questions about Rise: Can you still do arial attacks without Wire bugs like back in 4U? If so, their not perfect as a single wake up move, but great to do as several hits and most of the time I find that the animation when fully hit will trip an awakening monster.
Also, how different Arch Demon mode is to Demon Mode? I don't feel like this was needed for the video, mostly curious since it's my main
Great video! Loved that you used that quote in the beginning
Hahaha thanks! So archdemon mode is like base state but with a a slight power boost and the ability to do some demon mode attacks. I just mentioned it because it's worth having the slight boost over just the base state.
As for aerial attacks without wire bugs, yes it's possible, but it's much easier to set up with wirebugs of course.
To be honest, dual blades feel really good in this game! Way faster than previous games. Makes it hard for me to play dual blades in older games now 😅
@@KingRobRool really?? Oh no I'm really curious to join the hunt!
what weapons are you using in the video i need it !!!!!
just wanting to try something new after being an insect glaive main forever. I feel like I should change it up. By default my attacks are on y and b though what setting do I need to change to make my controls match? Every guide I've seen seems to use x and a, but mine is stuck to y and b...changing weapons is intimidating.
You're using an xbox controller right? I have a guide in the description that covers xbox controller inputs too
When i opened Demon flight, my god, my world changed, i started to absolutely destroy anything, who needs that kunai poke when u can leap on enemy 100 times in minute, and its better then glaive, better then stupid long sword with his dumb counters(same as sword and shield), perfect fast, cool, powerful weapon and you dont even need to stress yourself with remembering all counters, and wait for window to attack, pffft, just use Levi(AoT) spin to win,THATS IT. Best weapon ever for relaxed play.
I main Dual Blades and they’ve been serving me well even though I’m a semi-skilled hunter
Beating Magnamalo was actually easy lmao
Nice DP haha
1:04 Guide Starts.
Damn 5 mins isn't even short enough apparently 😂
Joe blade?
Great video still, but I’m on Xbox and don’t know what the controls are ?
There's a link in the description with updated controls ❤
❤❤❤ty
Sitting in sunbreak
What character is that in the beginning of the video ?
That's the Ace commander! Or otherwise known as Julius. He was in MH4U but the quote comes from the legends of the guild Netflix special 😛
My tip: Spamming the A or X button like an idiot, perfect the wirebug dodge an fuck stamina sine you dont need to dash just use X to spin around the enemy to dodge and do damage at the same time. If you got hit, drink a potion and Naruto run back to repeat the beyblade cycle
ive been doing this very wrong......
what dual blade r u using ?
Mizutsune!
What is Jaw Blade
?
What armor are you using
It's a layoured armor set consisting of a mix of somnacanth and mizutsune pieces. Or do you want to know the actual armor for stat's?
@@KingRobRool no I’m good thank you
joeblades
Isn't this the normal way to play MH ?
Gonna need you to elaborate on that 😅
You're telling me MH isn't primarily a third person shooter?
@@brentsta HOW DARE YOU
@@KingRobRool nah
I love the dual blades... but that reverse grip 😭, I know is a stupid reason but as an sword practitioner myself... is just unbearable to my eyes!
Bahaha like holding a gun sideways 😂
@@KingRobRool exactly!!!
As a DB master, I wreck jagrases in 30 hits. Same with GS, CB and SnS. Noobs.
They're just Jagrases, calm down 😅
@@KingRobRool They're threats.
All the same 🤣
@@KingRobRool Aptonoths are OP tho.
[12 seconds of nonsense]
"Welcome to the no nonsense guide" 🙄
That really is it? God damn I thought I was missing something but it really is like the same 3 moves. Games boring tbh
Play a different weapon. Try charge blade and come back to me then
bro these are the switch button layouts??? cringe
Umm..?
@@KingRobRool wanna fight?
I'm so confused
Weirdo
The game is made for switch wtf are you on about
Again not everyone play on Xbox my man so pls when u say zl then put next to it on a screen that’s ur zl for ps5 is r2 so ppl know would be much help
There's a link to another video that does that in the description. I also linked it in a tag at the start of the video. Please check before commenting it would be much help
BTW this was made when the game was switch exclusive and these are switch controls 😉
Hope the updated video is much help
