Thank you for the masterclass, mate. I am looking forward to owning a Lotus Elise and for sure I will watch your videos again to guide my search. Cheers.
Just found your channel and find it very informative! Keep the the Lotus videos coming, servicing and maintenance videos are great and I’ve learnt a lot so please add more when you can! Thanks
I'm about to pull the front suspension off my S1 Elise for a refresh. Fortunately my task is nowhere as difficult as the mission you've completed. It's been very useful watching your vids and it's encouraged me to crack on with my car. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this series. I fol'owed every single episode. You've learned me so much about how lotusses work! Could we maybe get a final round up on how much you ended up spending on it in total?
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your great videos. I can not imagine being successful at everything but you have done it!!! Plus, taking double the time to video everything. Much appreciated. Looking forward to your next video.
Amazing restoration, you have some serious skills, coupled with patience and a lot of dedication. Hope she drives like a dream after all your hard work. 😎
It is a privilege watching this work being done on such a rare car especially seeing the quality engineering on the brakes and suspension. I think some of that is rubbed off on the North American auto industry.
You did a lot of work on that car. You've been working on it for years. The last thing I remember you reporting that you were missing a headlamp. Be interesting to have seen dates mixed in with the scenes you spliced together. It looks like a new car!
@@D3Sshooter Ok. I had to go back and see. You uploaded your first video on the Lotus Elise August of 2017. This is now November of 2021. That's more than four years ago. A few to me is 2 to 3 years. Four is more like several. Some say that four is included in "a few" however, when it's more than four years, that is clearly not within the definition of "a few".
Thanks for the comments, yes I do still have the car.. Its my pet car ... I did buy it for 6000 euro/dollars and spend another 5000 on it. Of course doing all the work myself. So that makes about 11000
@@D3Sshooter Het resultaat is dan ook navenant. Als ik zie welke onderdelen je hebt gebruikt... Het alternatief zou anders iets geworden zijn in Polen, daar lapen ze alles op voor de fractie van de prijs hier. Great job !
OMG cutting off the crash box brings back some terrible memories of my own project!!!

Great video documentation and so glad you were able to save the car! Did you buy the car from an insurance auction or from a private party?
Great job Steve 👍 I saw an interesting car for sale in Belgium yesterday. I hope all goes well for you.

A very resourceful man! Do you still have the car? Was it financially viable to repair it in the end?

Incredible work Steve, make it sound so relaxed and easy when in fact these cars are a bitch to work on 😂

Waw, da's een pittig werkje maar het resultaat is prachtig.
Ja was wel wat werk en duurde twee jaar vanwege de kost van de onderdelen
