      There's no rule for the timing you have to wait but the police hardly ever take it seriously if it's before 24 hours. My theory is: Kurt passed out from all the alcohol, but they didn’t go out side like his friend said . The kids freaked out and told Kurt to just stay in the basement until he felt better, scared they were going to get in trouble from their parents and police, they didnt get help or call anyone. Later on 3 days, he passed from dehydration or alcohol poising. The kids again freaked out, took the body to the lake area, his shoe fell off in the basement, then they got rid of it. The creepy guy was from Detroit and saw it happen, but didn’t do anything.

    • @lacepetal
      @lacepetal 4 роки тому +106

      @@yarosanga7850 that was a different friend than the one at the party, so it's not shifting blame. he has no motive to lie about that and it corroborates the established timeline. either way this theory doesn't really add up bc dehydration and alcohol poisoning are very easy to confirm during an autopsy and there is no evidence for that. also his body was placed very intentionally- that is not a natural pose and his other shoe was wedged between rocks. if this were simply them trying to absolve themselves, why the ritual? i don't think he was ever in the basement and if he was, why did they assume he would be telling on himself? and was there for 3 entire days? and at no point did he sober up? they just... ignored him to the point that he died, which is an even bigger problem? that doesn't make sense. i feel like in that situation it would be easier for them to just tell his mom he has been staying there to immediately calm the situation as it is much better to be involved in underage drinking than a suspect in a missing person's case. the strange guy witnessing everything also doesn't make sense bc again those would be easy to determine as the cause of death, so why the (accurate) prediction about it being a mystery? i don't think he's simply a bystander due to the way he inserted himself and knew very specific information that an innocent person wouldn't be able to randomly guess.

    Here’s my thing.. His friend swears he only left Kurt outside for 2-3 minutes, but I don’t know how much we can trust that... If his friend was also drunk, even if he wasn’t as drunk as Kurt, it could have seemed like 2-3 minutes, but it might not have been... He’s going in to get their coats at a party... someone could have stopped him for a little longer than that to ask about Kurt or something. Not that that makes the friend suspect or anything, but it could have made for a bigger gap in someone seeing Kurt than they realize. I don’t think it would solve the case to know it had taken longer for him to get back outside, but it’s food for thought.

    • @lacepetal
      @lacepetal 4 роки тому +10

      this is a good point! i think it does affect things though bc if there was a larger window of time where kurt was by himself that means there is the increased possibility of him wandering off and meeting someone completely unrelated to the party or someone actually at the party being involved.

  • @Armitta
    @Armitta 4 роки тому +255

    I think it’s definitely possible that he died of dehydration. His heart probably just stopped (you know how you can get palpitations just from a night out drinking?). If he wasn’t a frequent drinker, lightweight, and drinking 98% alcohol all day, that’s likely what happened. Someone probably did take him and panicked when he died so they left him in a suspicious position in the ravine.

    • @Bubbles_Utonium
      @Bubbles_Utonium 4 роки тому +2

      Armitta his BAC was only 1.1 tho

    • @Armitta
      @Armitta 4 роки тому +43

      what the hell Yeah but that was after a couple of days. So my theory is that he was slowly sobering up but afraid to go back home (hence why he probably WAS staying in that cot) but even though his blood alcohol level was decreasing, he was becoming severely dehydrated. There’s no way he drank 98% alcohol and was visibly super drunk but had a low blood alcohol level right? Which is why the level was low at least 3 days after the party. It can do its damage but still he leaving your system.

    • @ExpectoPatronum28
      @ExpectoPatronum28 4 роки тому +25

      these are my thoughts as well. But its just weird that the friend says he left him outside just for a minute or whatever and suddenly he was gone.. I think he might have lied about that because he didn't want to get blamed or judged for leaving a friend that was that drunk by himself

    • @monkeycat2008
      @monkeycat2008 4 роки тому +14

      the way his body was positioned was no accident though. someone knows what happened to him and purposefully placed him there. Also, the coroner said he was alive for three days and didn't she say that his friend searched the warehouse and presumably found nothing? So yeah sounds like someone waited for them to search the surrounding area and then placed him there 100%

  • @user-wf3wo7jr8l
    @user-wf3wo7jr8l 4 роки тому +145

    I think there's something very suss about the person that was sleeping in the cot for 3 days and how Kurt was alive for 3 days after the party. What if that actually was Kurt down there and someone from the party quickly took him down to the basement for whatever reason. Maybe the girl whose party it was also knew about it hence why she lied about there ever being a party but then possibly could've felt guilty about it and told Kurt's dad but by then the people who took Kurt killed him and placed his body in the ravine since it wasn't that far from the duplex that he was being held at... idk I'm not sure if these details match up but just a theory

  • @danielacedillo_
    @danielacedillo_ 4 роки тому +311

    I really think he died of alcohol poisoning then Debbie and the people at the party freaked out and hid his body. That would explain why she lied to Kurts mom about there not being a party. And also, I think what the guy said about leaving him outside for 2-3 minutes was a lie. I think Kurt died at the party and everyone freaked out and put him in the basement. Then later, dumped his body and that would explain why his alcohol level was so low because it had been a while. Also there’s a possibility Kurt didn’t die that Friday night. He could have been actually living in the basement which would explain why the bed was still warm and later died where his body was found. This would also explain why his alcohol level was so low cause it had been a couple days. I really think that alcohol did something to him it seems deadly!!

    • @janvi.suresh
      @janvi.suresh 4 роки тому +69

      but the coroner stated that he was probably alive for those 3 days. it’s also hard to gloss over the fact that a super sketchy Detroit dude made such weirdly descriptive comments too. I can see how it’s like the died of alcohol poisoning but 3 days is enough time to sober up from one drunk night, and the man from Detroit leads me to believe that there’s some foul play going on.

    I think it's possible that either someone from the party offered to give him a ride home or someone could have driven by and saw the state Kurt was in because he was pretty intoxicated and was alone outside waiting for his friend. The way his body was found.. and the fact that his right shoe has never been found to this day. Someone had to of put him there and posed his body. If it was just an accident why would his body be found with his arms out and his leg crossed over the other? It sounds like foul play could also be involved and if Kurt was alive for those few days before his body was found, then where was he? Whoever offered to give him a ride home could have decided to kidnap him and keep him hostage for a few days. Or it's possible that someone Kurt knew was responsible for this.

    Hi Bella! You should definitely do a video on the mysterious death of Sushant Singh Rajput who was a famous Bollywood actor here in India (also his ex manager "killed herself" 5 days before his death). He died over 2 months ago and the police concluded that he killed himself due to "clinical depression". But there's a lot of controversy around this case as there are many revelations coming to light everyday about how his family, his girlfriend, his flatmates, politicians etc were involved that maybe led him to commit suicide or maybe even killed him. There are many witnesses coming forward with different stories and allegations, multiple theories from fans that make so much sense. The CBI (Central Beauro of Investigation) has finally taken over this case after 2 months of his death. It is highly unlikely for the CBI to solve this case considering all the evidence has been tampered with in the first few weeks of his death. There's massive rage in India about this case currently from all his fans and media who are all fighting for justice. Would love to see you make a video on this 🙏❤️

    If the coroner’s “guess” of when Kurt died was to be believed, the blood alcohol level test taken at autopsy would NOT have shown how much he’d had to drink on the night of the party. If he had been cruising around the day or days after the party and had not been drinking - at least nowhere near as much as he did on Friday night, then his blood alcohol level would have dropped dramatically! So, of course, the level at the time of autopsy would not have been high enough to have killed him! What a nightmare for his poor family!

    • @ashleyoverton9276
      @ashleyoverton9276 4 роки тому +3

      Exactly what I was thinking. That blood alcohol level days after the party is high if he didn’t drink the few days after the party. He had to of been severely intoxicated at the party. I hate unsolved cases like this. So sad.

    This was a very interesting case to learn about. It’s hard to pin point exactly what happened to this young man but the question I have is if his friend saw him get into this van why didn’t he at least get the license plate number. Kurt could have been being used assisting officers in busting a drug dealer or even found himself in trouble in the mist of it all. I don’t know, there’s a lot of lose ends. Thanks for a great case! Night Bella

      The friend said he didn't know Kurt was missing at the time, and assumed he was just getting a lift from another friend. It wouldn't even cross his mind to take down the license plate number in that scenario.

    I think maybe he felt bad at the party and went to the basement to get away from everything and there died of the 95% alcohol drink he was drinking and that he just couldn't handle it bc he was lightweight. And that after that the one who found the body placed him where they could find him so his body would be found but they just didn't want to get in trouble but did want kurt to rest in "peace" / his family to get closure

If only they would do their jobs. I am in the process of studies to working in the police field and could not imagine just letting something like that go. It would drive me insane not knowing, even these cases make me mad I have to look for solved ones cause I can't handle not knowing haha!

    I love your videos! A recommendation for a (maybe) video would be the Colmenares case (Bogotá, Colombia) it is ruled closed and ruled as an accident but when you look to it there's a lot of sketchy things like corruption in the police and even the government (i believe one of the "suspects" had ties to it)
