Looks awesome, so good to see W4sted again.
This has lots of promise, and it’s good to wasted and splitsie up to shenanigans together again. Having a Dev in chat really helped prevent roadblocks with such a early access game, really enjoyed this one Splits, and Wasted.
Splitsie and Wasted walking very slow as all their pockets are full of stones and gravel :)
Last night I watched Wrong way down and I was thinking 'dam I miss that Wasted sarcasm in SE.' This was good to see.

Convenient for a bus, somewhat less safe for a car, definitely not ideal for a motorcycle. 😄

The reason you guys are not feeling any lag is because it's not playing crosscontinental, its all one big continent and hasn't fallen apart yet.
that and ray tracing is just math; no need to send collision information, movement, etc across the wire, just math.
Continental drift is a theory and in my opinion a laughable one. 😊😊

I'm sure your last update on where geology stands today wasn't a century ago, right? :) Though granted, even the "original" ideas of continental drift lagged in the US and UK for decades after they were considered mainstream accepted science back then, of course. History is funny that way.

Splitsie being 40 is so weird, he doesn't sound 40 more like 25 or early 30's, while wasted sound his 40
W4sted: "YOU did this!" rage at even number grid width to "Goddamn son!" joy when the grid allows centered placement. XD
the reason for it needing ray tracing is voxels. teardown also uses ray tracing because of voxels. Voxels means that you have to render so many different meshes and you start to have to cull a lot of voxels. You can still use rasterization except most of the time ray tracing is actually faster

The "crowbar should be modeled on the character so I can give you what for" was extra funny to me because the suits have a similar shade of orange to the Half-Life HEV suit.

This game combines my favourite aspects of different games in a way i could only dream of before ❤
I'm a bit late, but the fun thing about this game is that in the time it's set, Mars would have liquid water. So it could be a fun tist with mars being the green one and earth being the rock.
Capac would of make a soler panel
This was pretty amazing - i love the extra wiring and stuff - and it'll make "repair" during combat SO much more engaging.. its what i was HOPING for Starbase.. I'm looking forward to some more W4sted Shenanigans as well! always fun to see you two together. the Snark is real!

it is way more in-depth that it seems, if you like games like Rising World, Empyrion, etc I highly recommend it. Solo play is a hell of a grind if you're not playing creative mode, but it gets faster the further along you get.
I think Wasted accidentally hit F2 and went into drone mode.
I got it to try. Thank goodness for the workshop integration for coded components.
This game seems like it has a great future, if they have a direct vision
Yeah, hopefully they don't get pulled in too many directions as their audience grows because I'd hate to see the game bogged down in trying to balance the needs of PvE and PvP for example, since that's a no-win scenario in my mind

Honestly, one thing I hope they look into is making the rock rake AoE. Doesn't have to be huge, just just bigger then your mouse.
It's certainly a part of the game that will need more 'game' to it to make it a bit more engaging. But I suspect finessing the physics and other parts are remaining a higher priority at this stage, which seems fair to me

looks a good game could do with a demo that would go up to the point of makings a static base (so no wheels in demo) with a drill that way people could give it a go and see if it's something they would like and their systems can run

I like the idea of "gear ratio" so you can't do FAST and HIGH TORQUE, you choose where abouts you want it to land on the line..
Enough power to move the earth, but it's VERY VERY SLOW..
or, drive SUPER SUPER FAST, but don't think you are pulling a trailer weighing several tonnes!
Looks nice Splitsie but you should warn people of the system requirements. My middle of the road rig won't run it.
We talked about the rat tracing stuff and mentioned it was only rtx cards that can run it, but it's been so long since w4sted and I played something together I got distracted at the start

Yep, one of my regrets is having supported it, because the parts I was interested in (the tower defense) effectively up and died the moment one of the devs got a bug up 'is arse about "killing PUBG".

different systems and capabilities; I'd say this does the survival side of it better than any other game has done this early in their development. the use of ray tracing means less code is needed around visuals, and more can be done with the game play systems.
That's a good point about survival mode this early (which they're calling adventure mode), there are few games that have given us anything but creative this early on
Is the windowed recording intentional?
It's possible the game doesn't have a full screen option, it's a very early build from what I can see.
@@MMuraseofSandvich it uses the Windows functionality for this, so F11 or Ctrl-F11 depending on windows version / your setup.
I was thankfully informed of this later on during the stream, similarly the UI scaling 🙂

Miss your and Wasted coop content, this game looks interesting but as someone that just bought a 6950XT not sure about it since well Ray Tracing is very much not a AMD focus

I'm not planning on bringing Capac along to this one until I have a much better handle on how stuff works, he'll be an absolute nightmare because he'll be unlikely to have the motivation to learn any of how it works himself.
That's why I'm playing with w4sted, we've both played stuff like this before and have the patience to try and figure things out, even if sometimes we do things the hard way :P

Sigh unfortunately it looks really nice and I love it. Means I might need to buy nvdia rtx and run side side. Am in NZ so decent rtx card will cost a lot more than my computer sigh. Game has a lot of potential. I see the ref to stormwork...sort of. It has device and connection bit but definitely more emperion SE like.

When you play this game again try to increase the UI percentage can't see what you're doing in your menus the text looks like a 1994 monitor resolution is high which makes the video look good the UI scale so small I can't read it

With the right manufacturing processes you can make long chain hydrocarbons without needing oil, and since the suit manufacturing thing uses the hydrogen, carbon and silicon you collect to generate plastics, it checks out :)
@@Flipsie Fair enough, my chemistry knowledge stopped at high school levels, and who knows how little I've retained. I do suppose that if tech level is so high that you can time travel into the past, then your gear would be sufficiently advanced enough to perform those sorts of reactions. 😅 Suspension of disbelief re-enabled!
