Here's some picture I took of the process of a bagged 1952 GMC truck. Truck went 3 colors and turbo charged to Naturally Asperated. It is powered by an 5.3L LS motor.
Hey man. Great ride. I love the oldies. I'm working on a 1954 Dodge Fargo 1/2 ton. I really don't know what I am doing, but I am learning as I go and having fun. I have some posted and doing a little each week. Thanks for sharing.
love your truck man.. and the patina job on it! I built aand bagged a 1940 Dodge.. well..its a dodge truck cab and a 47 caddy car back half with the fins etc... I sure love Nature's paint jobs! haha.I know you enhanced yours a bit and it looks great.. I bet the LS makes it a blast to drive.. I went old skool bbc with mine but you cant beat the LS for performance and reliability ... great job on the build "and" the video.. glad I found your channel... thanks for posting..
Sick build man !! .. Did u do the paint job your self ? Im looking to build a truck and i love that patina look. How hard was it to do ? also whats that teal color called ?
Andrewpreli thanks. I did paint it all 3 times lol. It's harder than one would think to make it look worn out. The teal color was just a color chip that I picked out at Sherwin Williams. They have all kinds to chose from.
Beach40 Thanks brotha... Yeah I cleaned the steel up so I used a zinc primer and then threw some left over single stage paint over. Didn't really care on the color 😊
I actually used a single stage paint. then made it look old by breaking through edges here and there and brought some parts to raw steel and used a solution made of Rubbing Alcohol, Salt and vinegar to make it rust. In total the job took me like 4 days for the paint work alone
Andrewpreli it's a frankestein kit lol. I just pieced a bunch of parts. Wherever I found better prices. 444 Viair compressor, universal bag mounts, universal 4 link. Made it all work together 😂
Great build and awesome music
Very cool truck brother......nice job!

Sweet truck. I like the first paint scheme the best.
George R I liked the teal too but it got a bit too flashy quick. So I went with the last 2 tone

Badass truck
That's Sweet as hell ✌
LOVE THE TRUCK..... U HAVE ANY PICTURES ON HOW U DID THE RADIATOR AND CORE SUPPORT
What did you do for the patina look you should of put when you painted the truck in the video
What size wheels and tires are you running?
Clean truck what size tire are you running? noticed you have skinny walls on the inside.
Where did you get your LS from? I have an 01 yukon with a 5.3 vortec, thinking of buying a chevy apache and putting in there, what do you think?
original frame or S10 swap ? my local mechanic has 52 already blasted and primered for 4400 but its still on leaf spring /drum front
It's a 1988 s10 front half frame. The back half I did from scratch as I bagged the truck

TheOneTheOnlyPhilip...yeah that worn look is what im looking to do. If you ever paint it again make a how to video.
Andrewpreli I wish I would have took a video. But I gotta make the white on the roof look more weathered so I'll take a video of that.
TheOneTheOnlyPhilip SherwinWilliams ,what type of paint do you use ?
Andrewpreli I just used their Dimension single stage line. Worked good for this project 🤘
Hey man I have a question what size rims you have on and where u purchase them
Miguel Alvarez Hello. I got them from Jegs.com they are 15x9.5. You can get them bigger and wider too
Nice truck. Where are you located? I'm in ontario canada. I saw the canadian flag in one of the pictures.
jiterbug705 I'm in NB Canada 👍🏼
Awesome build! What’s the red paint you used inside the doors? I’m assuming some sort of rust prohibitor?
Beach40 Thanks brotha... Yeah I cleaned the steel up so I used a zinc primer and then threw some left over single stage paint over. Didn't really care on the color 😊
It's ok
Cool build but i'd rather hear the engine than that canned crap music.
Roger Jordan I'll post lots of videos next season. I'll make sure to have a nice sounding video 🤘🏻
what paints and steps did you use to gain the final effect. love this vidoe
I actually used a single stage paint. then made it look old by breaking through edges here and there and brought some parts to raw steel and used a solution made of Rubbing Alcohol, Salt and vinegar to make it rust. In total the job took me like 4 days for the paint work alone
what air ride kit are you using ?
Andrewpreli it's a frankestein kit lol. I just pieced a bunch of parts. Wherever I found better prices. 444 Viair compressor, universal bag mounts, universal 4 link. Made it all work together 😂
Music is crap,
Hahaha well I can accept that lol
Are you kidding me? Im only 2 songs in. Motorhead and Mastodon ... gtfo lol
