The barn with feeding robot will accept hay/straw bails. You have to have them on the ground or trailer outside the bay. If the bails are inside the limits of the building, it will not be accepted.
@25:48 thank you for explaining this, i was confused about this while playing, now i get it. So glad i filled up the TMR sections for the robot first! ...now that i think of it, after only getting 48 calves only, i should've began with feeding the grass only. Oh well.
The older cows seemed to produce more slurry than the younger cows, so I would assume some of the manure difference would be from older cows. Also it is unclear how far the range is, and if 1 silo extension would collect all the manure in the area, if it does there may be sharing of all sheds randomly in the 3 extensions. I may test it all myself, but I think the best way would be to test one breed and the same age and see if one extension fills up as fast as 3 overall. As for numbers, I am assuming manure and slurry production would be proportional here. The 13 month Holstein and 13 month Limousin had 2645 liters of slurry the 19 month Angus had 3593 liters of slurry, leads me to think age is the factor there and not breed, but it would need more testing to be sure. And the totals added up you have 8883 Liters of Slurry and 9445 Liters Manure, based off the sum of each silo extension. I do think in fs22 Cows are the more interesting animals gameplay wise, you can focus on milk or beef, and they could play differently, as a milk operation would work best with full pens of older cows to maximize the milk delivered to your production buildings, while the beef cows should be left at least half empty to maximize breeding, and then maybe move the newborns to a new pen to grow old enough to sell for profit. And if you got a big enough operation you may be able mix the 2 styles
Nice video the Real feeding robot is in operation near my Home and it is very nice to see it in operation it is completly automated and works axactly like in this video
This comment is about sheep. Sorry it's on the wrong video. In respect to the difference of manure produced in different barns with different cow breeds, I did a test with the sheep, (hopefully you haven't addressed this yet) but they produce different quantities of Wool per breed. The Black sheep is the top supplier The Brown came in second The White & the White w/Black spots produced the least but also the same amount. Hopefully this was helpful. As always Farmer K, Thank You for the videos and your time. Stay Safe & FARM ON!!
That is correct and we do demonstrate that in the video. The mouse controls on that blower are confusing as some open and close the door. In my 19 gameplay I never used that blower the other blowers from 19 didn't appear to come over as base game tools. I find it easier myself ot use a TMR mixer to unload straw in the areas or have working bale triggers in them.
Instead of the straw blower, I use the mixer trailer. I can add a few big bales of straw, then the shoot the straw in with that. That way I don’t have to spend the $ on an extra piece of equipment
As your video shows; cows with TMR available will not eat either grass or hay. Add any grass or hay and you have permanently reduced the capacity to hold TMR. The only way to get rid of the hay is to let the TMR run out, then they will eat hay. Next they have to finish eating all the hay before the will eat grass. After all the grass and hay are gone, you can put TMR back in and fill to max capacity.
That would make sense Cows are difficult in what they eat. For example we mixed cut sugar beets in our silage and the cows would search for the sugar beets before they even start to eat the silage or hay
The feed are tiring, because if you want grass, hay and tmr, you need to divide it 3 times, so you get as much h of everything.. And I think the shed should take straw from the silos at the back, since we are loading it back there anyway, atleast in the automated shed...
I really like your videos and am buying 22 as soon as the Black Friday/Fall sale happens. Longtime 19 player. I would like to know if the price paid for crops is high enough to buy these expensive barns. Do you get more money from say canola etc to be able to afford them and have they balanced the cost to what you can earn so it does not take forever to afford them? Any other players have experience with this also?
First of all, I just want to thank you for all your informative videos. I find myself coming to your videos quite often. I have FS 22 for xbox and I am getting ready to purchase the cow barn and I would like to make manure. I had heard that you can now use the manure heap that is in the "silo" section, and it will work, instead of using the one in the "silo extension" section. Do you know if this information is accurate? Or do I still needs to use the one in the "silo extension" section? Thank you in advance
Probably bales put into the mixer will convert to the lose of that filltype and then you can dump them into the corresponding area. I think it was found after that video was made that the bale trigger does exist its just well in front of the dumping area.
@@FarmerKlein I guess what I’m asking is how to transport all the pallets of minerals from the store to the silo. It’s comical watching myself load each pallet onto a flat bed truck and then rolling the truck over as a round turns faster than 15 mph 😂 there’s got to be an easier way!
Dont see why a single pallet would do this are you using a mod truck or trailer? But ya thats how you do it transport the pallets from store to cow building or put down the small silo that holds mineral feed, buy in mineral feed at the silo and then fill from the silo in a trailer and dump at the animal pen.
@@FarmerKlein Well, I’ve got two large auto cow barns and they each can hold a large amount of mineral feed so trying to transport is a pain. I guess I’ll just continue loading in a dump trailer at the shop; just takes a long time to load.
All trailers should be able to hold bulk mineral food as it s a bulk filltype as you saw I filled and dumped into the storage silo. You can buy pallets of minerals and fill by pulling up next to them or putting the pallet over the trailer. At somepoint there will probably be a bulk mineral buypoint mod.
How long do you think the feed will last with the feeding robot when you fill each side of the hole barn full of hay straw and silage before you have to refill the bunks again
So if you use the straw to boost animal health does it still create slurry or is it like in 19 and as soon as you put straw in they stop producing slurry and only produce manure? Thanks for the helpful videos I watch many of these lol theyve helped me a lot over the years

Hey all, any idea yet what happens with the production side of things once a pen/pasture is at max capacity? Do they just stop producing? Also, if I were to but a 2nd pasture would I be able to move my cows from the first one into the second or would that require an animal trailer to load them up then drive the short distance to drop them off in the new pasture?

hi. if the cowshed is full, and the cows are ready to give birth, where will the newborn calves be placed? can i only fill up the cowshed 50%, so there will be place for the calves to be borned??
yes.or put down another pen and move some. since every cow reproduces you need to leave head room for your cows which are reproductive age to double every reproductive cycle.
