Amateur woodworker making a basic cutting board out of walnut and maple wood. I made this cutting board over the course of 3 days in my garage in Alaska using common woodworking tools. Beautiful job. How did you route the juice tray and top before the edge of the board the way you did it upside down like that?

I measured where I wanted the juice groove and used the measuring guide on the router table and actually just stopped when it reach the correct measurement. Now that method leaves a lot of room for error and so I don’t actually recommend doing it that way. All it would take is just one slip and you ruin it. I have since got a juice groove jig made up that allows you to hold your router and do the groove from the top.
