Enjoyed your video! I picked up mine for 10 bucks at a flea market. Seller said did not work. Beautiful condition otherwise. Only needed the am converter transistor replaced. A snap to do with those plug in transistors!
No, the bulbs weren’t working. You don’t have to remove the dial, fortunately. The bulbs are mounted inside a narrow strip of metal that’s attached to the dial with two screws.
@@UkeDad ChildhoodRadio.com has great information on how to service your transistor radio. They also sell recap kits with instructions at their eBay store. Go to eBay and search for ChildhoodRadio.

Thanks!
Were your bulbs working? Do you know how easy it is to replace them? Does the dial need to come out? Thanks!😊

Great…thanks for confirming this…looks like I need to get a few bulbs and start disassembling…cheers!
Great video…I’m picking one up tomorrow. Where did you get the manual? Thanks!
I ordered mine at ManualMan.com. There are a number of other sources, including radiomuseum.org.
Thanks so much for the info. Do you have a source for parts?
