Somehow Risen Chameleos was the hardest for me. While Teo was easiest. The exact opposite from the normal trio, for me.
Feel the same a destroyed Kushala like three times and the last was my self alone.
How do u fight then.
Teo is ass and always will be doesn’t matter what they do to him, lunastra however….

The Immortal Build ain't the only thing _rising_ at the thought of Kushala blessing on everything.
Risen Teo is the only one of the new three that gave me trouble and actually carted me once during the hunt. Kusha was easy and I had no real trouble with him and Chaotic was just down right FUN but Teo just like "HAH! I am going to hit you for so much damage each time." and he just wrecked me... especially with all the heat damage and just new fire attacks he has. But he's a good boy and I love him all the same.
Risen Teostra as I expected would certainly be well worth the grind to MR 140 (though am well over 200 by now), a fun fight with amazing equipment as well. Using his skill with a lbg... an extra burst of damage every now and then helps make the monster also burst.
Its so fun how Playing the Gunlance gives you an advantage in terms of "how hard is this Monster?"... i didnt cart once against all 3 new Monsters and i think Risen Kushala was the most dangerous out of the 3. It has so many moves that do loads of chip dmg even through Guard up 3 and guard 5 D:
I think you're misinterpreting your own skill as your weapon's greatness. As a Longsword main who has well and truly gotten used to absolutely breezing past monsters other people call walls, I can tell you it's not just that your weapon is better. It's that effect where those who are really skilled think less of their skill than people who don't know what they're doing.
I'm so excited to fight all 3 of the new challenges.

RTeo Legs+Silverlos Chest=Maximum Fire Element (2 Teo Blessing and all 5 levels of Fire Attack) without needing decos/Qurio and also max Crit Element. And you still have 3 other armor slots to do with as you please.
Fire Element is really eating well in Sunbreak.

I havnt played the update yet but does the Teostra blessing increase the blast from the powder mantle damage? or anything else that can improve blast proc damage?
I put together a blast set using risen Teo head, chest, and waist with fiery espinas legs and arms and the scorned magna IG. Slotted in 2 levels of Teo blessing, finished attack up, crit up, crit eye, master's touch, and razor sharp with decos and atk up 3 with lvl 2 and lvl 1 slots. I also added in stun immunity and resuscitate lvl 3. When not suffering from an ailment, the blue powder procs 614-714 dmg depending on what part I hit. With the resuscitate boost, it jumps upward to 850-900+, along with the f. espinas skill proc of 300 and my own blasts going off for 240 or 360 (I use the Teo rampage gem for the boost) and have a ton of fun. Fyi, the espinas skill does protect you from losing your wreath if both are up when you get hit.
Also surprised you didn't talk about the "Mane" Event that is this armor.
The head set of Risen Teostra is gold I might do a four piece of Chaotic and try see that build to come.
One my favorite armor designs in the series if the g rank Teostra armor and they somehow managed to make it better.

I find Risen Toe fun, though I find Risen Kush harder to deal with. Can't wait to see if the new skills will work their way into my elemental swaxe sets.

Might build a new fire build set around this. It's so nice to have a blast-type attack along with fire damage.
Element exploit is now a augment .I'm using with my mail set & 2 blessing decos to make the ultimate Element CB sets + 65% to fire ,water or ice
so from my testing, on IG level 2 powder mantle takes about 47 hits to proc and level 3 takes about 32 hits. So you will want to go for level 3 to get the most out of your hits.
Was never big on Teostra’s normal high and master rank armors due to them being too “fru fru” for my taste. But Risen’s looks pretty nice. The demonic overlord mask on the male version is also a nice touch.

As a lance user Risen Teo's nova isn't all that bad when blocked, however Risen Kushala's vortex nova chunked 80% off me with guard up 3 due to the sheer amount of hits I blocked
Same here with Gunlance :D Risen Kushalas wind moves just chunk through your HP if you block them especially the super attack. Very fun fight!
Is there a way to get the blessing in augmentation? I have a high enough defense to be impossible to get one-shotted (around 920 with full Malzeno armor along with maxed level and augmented with a god roll talisman with maxed Divine Blessing with a decent slots.), immune to any elemental blight, and for good measure maxed stun resistant so I can get back in the fight immediately and dish it back.
Isnt power mantle a straight dmg buff to tackle?
In orange it does like 150ish dmg and tackle should negate the extra knock back right? I guess tackle still sets it off since you get hit but the explosion following does damage to the monster.
All we need is a power stance move like tackle to negate down time due to a knockback and the skill is a temporary damage aura every few attacks with not much of a downtime since we intentionally dont wait 20 sec but rather proc it often (or if you are a counter god a big explosion pop after 20sec).
Teo gave me issues at 1st but when I speced more fire res and ate a fire res dango I was able to keep the pressure on him while pretty much being immune to his fire attacks.

WOW! He has the obnoxious ability to hit you with blastblight right before an attack, causing a guaranteed cart. Aside from that, I did nearly triple cart to him, but, once I found out his openings, I had an easier time with him. The only problem I have is that his charges have a bit too much tracking and do a bit too much damage for a basic ass attack.
Jesus, look at him. It looks like the fight with the Qurio aged him by 100 years.
Hey don't sleep on Latent Power, three levels into that is great for bows - 50% reduced stamina use and 30% extra affinity is nothing to scoff at, 50% affinity at level 5. Even if it only certain times through a fight it triggers often enough to get some huge damage in.
Yeah isnt the activations something like 5~mins/280dmg? And it lasts for a good while too
I get why LP isnt meta but its honestly underrated cause set LP3~5 with
WE 3
CE 2/3 (if running element)
CB 1~3(whatever you can fit)
and a shagaru/barioth/naracuga weapon and you've got insanely high affinity and dmg output +plenty of room with most armor sets to have some side skills you really want

last night me and my brother just failed 5 rounds to be able to take him down finally
He was pretty easy to me I carted twice but only because I got one tapped with the flame breath the only times I got hit the entire fight. (love playing a gunner) to me chaotic gore magala was the hardest out of the three new monsters. It's so big and hard to avoid
Welp , Risen Chameleos just got nurfed. Teostras blessing R3 prevents venom and its now a 1 slot decos

The toaster is angry, shame Lunastra isn't in this game yet for players to take revenge against her.
I'm playing a hyper tank Lance set with Embolden and such that has been redily carrying me through just about anything comfortably aside from(for some fucking reason) not being able to block Flaming Espinas' Nova and Risen Teostra is the first thing to genuinely make me fear damage again. He just absolutely bypasses my shield without even knocking me out with one of his nova, it's crazy to me that there are none-command grab moves now that are still unblockable even with Guard up @.@ and I live for the thrill, XD.
But honestly I thought Teostra was easier than Kush aside from him being able to just damage me through guard.

...is it just me or are all the new leg pieces on these update monsters REALLY good? Like I'm a lance main and spammed the violet mitsuzune quest til I got them. They're a lance man's wet dream.
Powder Mantle looks fun to play with, but I like Embolden way too much as a guard lancer to fully use the Risen Teo gear. At least I can use the head piece for one point of it.

Normal Teo was already one of the harder monsters for me, but now... Out of 6 attempts now I've only completed the quest once. Don't know a good setup right now for me

Hmm, Risen Teo armor's new skill seems really good for Dual Blades or other fast attacking weapons. Since their already rapid attacking formula combined with that Powder Mantle can mean lots of powder explosions.

Why do I feel like the Meta is gonna change? The Chaotic gore magala greatsword has a level three slot, a level one slot, 340 raw, near purple sharpness, and a level 2 rampage slot. And not only that, it's affinity is -33%/15%. Even if you don't do a quest that has Gore, Shagaru or Chaotic gore magala, you'll still get big damage with the full Chaotic Gore armor set. Besides, like a wise man said, "It doesn't matter where you hit, it'll still crit. And I have calculations to back this up. If you hit a monster head with strong-arm stance and true charge stance, with the beserk and strife skills activated, you'll do over 4,000 to over 5,000 damage. That's nuts.
The Powder Mantle explosion seems to scale with your Weapon. When i tested it with SNS it did around 150 dmg (but SNS can build up much faster then a Greatsword so it makes sense :D ).
yeah if dual blades or S+S Could do a 500 pop explosion after only a handful of attacks that'd be insanely broken.
He definitely is way stronger than he was in mh4u I was so confused as why he hits so hard plus he is so relentless no openings unless he using the flamethrower move
That not true. There plenty of openings. Stay on his face and you are safe from certain attacks. Also most of his attacks allow for 2 quick attacks. When he does flame that the moment to go in. If he in the air doing flame. Flash. Even his flame attack is safe moment to heal. Just don't out distance to heal. He like barioth. He doesn't like it when you do that.

Out of the new three new monsters in this update for me personally Risen Teostra is the easiest and it is the easiest Risen ED for me personally. Maybe it is because I use a bow and looking at its moveset I can see it being a difficult or a pain for melee weapon users.
Chaotic Gore is fun.
Risen Kushala was slightly annoying.
Looks like I have this build to make as well, so anyone know how many risegems are earned on average?

For me, Teostra is the one that looks like the qurios took the biggest toll on his body. He looks old and hurts like hell

To block greater atacks you need some more block power, gs counter is like a block but if you block succesfully you make the counter, but if you cannot block the actual atack you just get fucked

To beeing perfectly honest Risen chamelos was more diffcult then teo (He Locks great but He was no great Challenge im fight 😅)

I stop playing pokemon violet for a while and play mhrise so that I can relax my eyes from banjo kazooe terrain.
How do we get risen armor? Or tier 10 weapons? They really make it hard to get back into the game. This is complete greek to me, the amount of menus submenus and gameplay mechanics is beyond insane with zero explanation given to anyhting ingame. Weapon tree is still full of question marks with no way to target or discover anything specific... Headache this game sometimes. Like even finding a clear answer to an optimal build seems almost impossible.
He can try, but Lunastra's still nastier
I honestly find Teostra the easiest of the new Monsters in the new Update. Which is weird because I find regular Teostra to be most difficult out of the normal Elder Dragon Trio.^^
Risen Toaster gave me a hard time personally, I 2 carted on my first time with him. Funnily enough, Kushala was the easiest Risen for me so far, even more so than Chameleos.
Don't know why, I feel the game got easier. Anomaly has gotten easier and faster to complete
