Decent guide! A little correction on the Earthshaker vs Sonic Bloom thing since you asked: they both scale off of raw, not element. Both hits of Earthshaker together deal slightly more damage if you land the physical hit on a good hitzone, while Sonic Bloom does a ton of damage in a single hit. People usually prefer Bloom because it charges faster, you can deal the damage just using regular attacks, and time it for when it'll land guaranteed. Earthshaker has a loooong animation commitment, and if you miss it's just...pain.
@@Uno_Hunter thanks! Your stuff's great too. Haven't been able to do a lot for Rise and Sunbreak (real life gets like that sometimes lol) but I'm planning on getting back to it for Wilds
Duuuude, just wanted to say thanks a lot for the tutorial, o really wanted to give the hh a try but I wanted to learn from the best in the business, hope to one day hunt with you dude, awesome video as always
Wow, what a wonderful video. Light, fun, but very rich. It was 32 minutes that I didn't even feel pass by. It brought very valuable tips about HH, which were somewhat nebulous things for me. Keep up the great work and I hope to see you at MH Wilds
Uno, my dude, please... that move... You used it once that I could count, right here 30:39. You know? The X+A after certain moves, it does a sort of a spin attack where you can change directions and stuff? I love that move. Think it's called Double Swing. Just messing with you XD As always, great video. Everything very well explained, how moves connect, how silkbinds work, and I agree, Echo Mode and Shockwave are amazingly good and fun. Echo Mode specially goes under the radar of many new players since it's more "manual". Looking at the HH in Rise again after going back to use more of it in World and 4U, yeah it's a lot more aggressive, but I think the loss of the tactical feel is more due to the changes in the Recital. I find the new basic moves to be a good addition, as they add some extra complexity and flexibility outside of Recital/Encore. Again, I like this version of HH, and used it a lot more than in other games cuz it felt safer and easier to handle (and it's fun hearing the constant flow of hit sfx), but the new Recital makes the weapon feel like an unnatural evolution of where it was going. For Rise tho, it makes sense, I think the slower playstyle wouldn't be able to catch up with the faster monsters. But going forward with Wilds, if they're gonna dial back on the speed and flashiness of the game, which I think they will, I want to see an actual evolution of the tactical gameplay the weapon had before, alongside some of the new moves they added. Doesn't need to be the same as before, but I think timing and positioning should be key factors in it.
Hey there friend. Just wanna say, I appreciate all the tips and tricks for the Doot-Hammer like the kick multicrush cycle :) I’m getting my Dooting practice in for Wilds on Rise and World as I am having withdrawals lol. Since I finished Icebourne and Sunbreak without using HH or Lance, my best friend dared me to use them to challenge me 😂
Shared this with the HH mains in my community. Would love for you to stop by we have a lot of fans of yours and it may help with promotion of your content. Love the videos, keep up the great work bud!
Considering this unique weapon is in the game imagine what else they could make. Hands down the most fun weapon in the game if you have evade extender and evade window so you get hit way less
After your return to iceborne, how do you still feel about sunbreak? I spent the most time on it and got a bit burnt out from the anomaly grind even though I'm very near to 300. Went back to iceborne and gu and it revamped my love for the games, but at times I miss all the cool additions in sunbreak.
Sunbreak is still my favorite Monster Hunter, but not by much from Iceborne. With GU hovering right behind Iceborne. It's like ice-cream. Cookies and Cream is my favorite like Sunbreak, but Birthday Cake ice-cream is still really good. Just different flavors of ice-cream like those games are different flavors of Monster Hunter.
It feels like I'm learning a different weapon again. I wish they had kept the original hunting horn in tact and just created a new weapon. Iceborne's hunting horn was the peak for that weapon for me.
They tried casualized the HH to try to make it more popular, but all the Longsword boys aren't going to leave their baby (or the monster's head) for anything!
Hi, I am coming from world where all the attacks had a clear way of executing them. Triangle gives left swing except when holding forward then you get slam or you already did the left swing. All of this clerity seems complete lost in rise sun break. I was wondering if there is someway to think about the moves to know what my next moves will be. At the moment it feels just like button mashing which I hate and does not give me any satisfaction. Hope someone can help
@yunglilschillymane261 You have a way to access each move, I think I explained possibly each move in the video.....I think, I forget it's been forever sense I made this video lol
Could you do a tutorial on world cause I started playing monster hunter with rise and sunbreak and I chose to play with hunting horn but hunting horn is very different in world from what I have played
I suppose on builds I can suggest a few core skills:📯 - Horn Maestro & Inspiration 🎵- Both Level 1 Decos, both improve damage with melodies, core on all HH sets. - Weakness Exploit + Critical Boost 🗡- 20% average damage boost when hitting monster weakpoints, HH is an excellent head-sniper. - Attack Boost Level 4 + Elemental Attack 5 🔥- HH wants as much damage as it can get, given its lower-than-average Motion Values. Stack damage and match a monster's elemental weaknesses. - Handicraft & Master's Touch ⚒- Getting to and maintaining a high level of sharpness is great, more so if you can reach high affinity. - Dragon Conversion + Furious 🐉🦍- Elemental damage boosts, late-game Sunbreak HH is very elemental-oriented alongside Silkbind Shockwave. - Blood Awakening + Blood Rite 🧛♂- Further Raw & Elemental damage boosts after breaking monster parts, further emphasis to focusing heads/weakpoints. Anything past that is more to match-up/personal user taste. More DPS skills like Burst, Bloodlust, Dereliction, Strife, Mail of Hellfire, Berserk, etc. I always run at least one level of Evade Extender for improved mobility. One-point-wonder skills like Intrepid Heart to survive lethal hits and Powder Mantle for extra damage are nice to have. Once you get comfortable with your playstyle to survive fights, start running skills that trade health for damage (I will always suggest Bloodlust Lvl 1 on any build). Your skills will keep you alive, whilst your armor is for becoming a destructive force. HH is not a support weapon. If your songs can regen health, you can drain it for damage.🩸=💥
@@abdulrahmanalwagdani4745 I did the best I could for explaining the build, I just tried to get Dragon Conversation and Furious for Augments then kinda just slotted in the rest
it’s lucky we grew up on a planet where fires are possible, so metalworking is possible. imagine a world with no free oxygen. imagine trying to do technology without fire. and aquatic/marine civilizations are beyond screwed, they’ll _never_ get to space
Just a heads up, i didn't know the buttons for PS4/PS5. So maybe you could explain what buttons do what for other consoles? It was a pain for me to figure it out myself. Other than that great guide
No lmao. Long sword. hammer. Dual swords. Sword and sheild are the most beginner freindly. Hunting horn is complex like insect gliave and the gun lance. But hey I know it's so late replying it won't matter much. If you did start with hunting horn then good on you! I'm sure it was a pleasent challenge
@honorousjorg7200 Go to the equipment box and swap you switch skills. Or once you get to Sunbreak, you get the switch skills swap and you can switch them during combat.
HH better go back to worlds system in wilds and add on from there because good fuck I hate it in rise it was so disappointing to see my baby gutted. All the time I spent learning the nuances well enough to heal and buff my team whilst doing damage and evading all at the same time was just thrown out the window and replaced with a scraggly old disease ridden cat.
I personally like both styles of hunting horn, but it's been said by the Monster Hunter team that Wilds Horn will be more like Worlds with a few tweaks, whatever that means.
This was a lot harder to make than I thought it would lol, here are the songs -
Zelda Ocarina Of Time - Ganondorf Battle
Streets Of Rage 4 - Art Gallery Theme
Mario Party 2 - Let The Game Begin
Street Fighter 6 - Fete Foraine Stage
Kingdom Hearts 2 - Vs Final Xemnas
Maximum Tune 3 - Entry (Yes, I used to love Maximum Tune)
Breath Of Fire IV - It's An Easy Win
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 - File Select
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Stardust Crusaders
Dragon Ball Z Hyper Dimension - Far Above The Earth
Earthbound - Hospital
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Torna The Golden Country
Tekken 6 - Mystical Forest
This is useful. Thank you.
