    Arielle, your outlook is so refreshing!
    Thank you for the transforming and eye opening insights you share.
    You also shared in another vlog that you do not show the people’s faces to protect their privacy and that is so very considerate!
    I did discover, for me, that the more you speak the language, the more you learn it. I was spending time studying and learning vocabulary, but I found that just diving in and speaking the language significantly expedites your learning.
    All the best in Mexico 🇲🇽 🎉🎉

      thank you!!! yeah definitely having more Mexican friends have been helping me learn the new slang and dialect better here. i also just picked up a spanish book and i'm excited to start reading in spanish as well! small but good changes but i noticed that i have to stop trying to rush the process. i want to be fluent so bad that it's making me a little irritated with the learning process when i think i should just keep practicing everyday and focusing on getting better. thank you so much for this comment!!

    • @burntorangeofficial

      @@ArielleSimone a book is a great idea!! Oh yesss the slangs and everyday words 😁 You are absolutely right; just keep swim…practicing! Think of it like a muscle or a new hobby; bike riding for eg, the more you practice the better you get. If you can find a good way to “game-ify” the process, that would be great as well. Maybe use Duolingo or going to a class that is only in Spanish.

    What area of Mexico City was the market and the vibey “Williamsburg” areas you mentioned? Currently looking to relocate and Mexico City is on my list!

    • @ArielleSimone
      @ArielleSimone  8 місяців тому

      the williamsburg-y areas are definitely la condesa, roma norte and reforma! very very beautiful areas with nice restaurants, galleries, parks, and museums. you are close to all of the best spots and events just like williamsburg/bedstuy. as for the soho/5th avenue vibe that's more high end stores (a little boring to me) but that area is polanco!

    • @ArielleSimone
      @ArielleSimone  8 місяців тому +1

      i see a lot of families here!! i def think it's super family friendly!! i have yet to experience any racist vibes at all. they actually love Black people so much! but i will say there is some tourist racism (if that's a thing) like if you don't speak the language they tend to charge you a little bit more in certain places. it's called the 'Gringo Tax'. Learning the language helps but sometimes it's hard to avoid having to pay more :(

    I loved this video!!! How are you receiving income? I ask because I’ve been researching Australian working visa sponsorships and that has been a challenge. But if I’m honest with myself, I don’t want to “work.” I don’t dream of labor 😂.

    • @ArielleSimone
      @ArielleSimone  9 місяців тому +4

      i say that all of the time and for a while i was like am i lazy? but i just do not dream to work. it's not something i fantasize about. now building community and hosting events? yes. things that don't feel like work. but to answer your question i had 15k saved up which can last you about 6-7 months here and i have a membership program on my website where i post weekly wellness blogs around emotional eating, i sell gut health e-books, have nutrition clients and influencer partnerships. i'm starting a patreon pretty soon to post recipe + cooking videos :)
