- Hondas get their fair share of trash talk, but what some don’t realize is that once you bolt a turbo onto one of these tiny little 1.8L engines…they can make GOBS of power! When you throw that combo into a Honda CRX that only weighs 2200lbs, you get a badass little street car! The poor C6 Corvette, Charger Hellcat, and bikes weren’t ready for this! We caught up with the owner of this CRX and hopped in the passenger seat to take down some quick cars in this street racing battle!

@Adam Spivey it puts load on the engine to get the turbo to spool up quicker. its better than dropping the clutch and shocking your drive train.

The KA24DE-T is no joke. Too many guys throw them away for SR20 swaps, but that 2.4L makes insane torque, especially under boost. My KA (in an S13 *Coupe*) made 322whp and 404lb-ft on only 8-9 lbs of boost. Never lost to an SR20. Never lost to much at all, haha.

Thats the whole idea of hot roding and sleepers, I'm not a little ricer sort guy but I can appreciate how fast he made that little thing for comparatively little money vs twin turbo V8s. Fun to watch.

I really hate when people say a certain car cannot be fast, especially in 2015. I don't like Honda in the slightest amount but I still respect cars like that. You can make anything fast if your willing to put the time into it.

Yeah that's quick....I got a ride in a Honda for the first time a couple of years.. I got to say they are quick but extremely dangerous....And I mean extremely dangerous.....I think most owners are absolutely crazy with high horsepower. That big guy on the bike was kinda badass......very sketchy.

The 240 didnt do a normal roll launch. He used the brake boosting technique. Didnt hear the crx do it. That technique gives you a hella advantage.

In my opinion the wing is pretty nice when you understand the purpose. He probably doesn't just race in a straight line, so in corners that thing probably helps a shit ton, especially if it's tuned properly and not just been bolted on. In a straight line, that downforce is actually hurting his performance. without it wouldn't have helped it enough to beat that CRX lol, but maybe against other cars in his class.

Trust me when I say that a Honda CRX with 600 horsepower would beat everyone in the new Netflix series: "HYPERDRIVE" Its mostly about power to weight ratios

It feels like my GSXR1000 would accelerate harder than my old 180SX. I suppose the wind hitting the helmet makes you feel it more. Nice build on the CRX, love it.
