    I have this same machine at my gym. It’s so hard to use and really uncomfortable. I wish they had a better option for hip thrust

      Look at the video, it takes 5 sec. to get started, very easy to use and set up. just follow the steps and you will save a lot of time and get better results.

    In a normal hip thrust your shins should be vertical, this gives me back pain. This machine only worked for me at a gym where they installed an additional foot platform closer to the bench, to allow for a more natural movement.

      Thank you! I’ve been getting really bad back pain with this and thought I was doing it wrong .. I used to lift 130kg with a barbel and can hardly do 50kg without my back hurting on this machine. Seen other girls using a platform on the floor to make it so you don’t have to thrust as high as the machine steps make you. It feels so uncomfortable

      @@sashamoor9584 You only need 50% of the weight , compared to a barbell. Because you lift the hips straight up. Also this trains your core muscles , so take off some weights, do proper form and you will get a stronger core and back with no pain.

      @@julies7622 The are footplates on the side of the frame, if you want to have your feet lower down. But then you need more weights , and you get less benefits from the movement. Use less weight, do proper form and do it a few times to adapt.

    Any benefit using this machine over barbell hip thrusts?

      Quicker set up. But tbh a lot of people complain of back ache with this machine and I get pain too. It doesn’t feel natural.

      @@sashamoor9584 Because they load to heavy and are used to barbell hip thrust. Use 50% less weight and do proper form. Then you get a stronger back and core. there is no pressure in the spine ( like in a deadlift ) , so you can not get any injury when performing it correctly.

      This is Adjustable for any hight. both the backrest and the seat is adjustable.

    great idea, but foot plate needs to be adjustable (vertically) and horizontally, or just make the foot plate large. shin should be vertical - also it seems like this machine forces your heels too be too high up - machine would be perfect if these issues were sorted - have they been in sorted in newer versions?

      No, the feet in any hip thrust is better when you have them in an angle. This is more stable and you use less quads

      Ok, its fully adjustable. This is very important, because everone is very different.
      Bench and feet are up because this makes it less quad and more glute and hamstrings dominant.
      We have 10 years of research and EMG studies on this.

      weight training is one of the best things you can do for your health. Using BB will help with knee , back and hip problems. Make you stronger and feel better.

      @@bootybuilder8015 Form is incorrect. She doesn’t keep her chin locked to her chest. You should not be flying your head back like that at all.

      This is not true. The head can be in any position. But if you keep the chin tucked, ( head forward) , it can be easier for some people not to arch the back.
      But as long as you have a neutral spine, its fine😊

      @@beautybarloungeandnailsllc You can have the chin anyway you like, as long as you back is straight. Its easier to have the back straight when you tuck the chin. But experienced people like the girl in the video, can engage the core and keep the back straight without looking forward.

    I wish my gym did not have this piece of garbage. Why put the feet up like this? It doesn't make any sense.

      The patented raised feet design gives users the optimal range of motion and movement for targeting the gluteus maximus. You get LESS quad engagement. You get more Glute and Hamstring engagement. With the feet up, you need 50% less weight, so less pressure on the stomach and hips = no bruises. More range of motion and better results. All that makes sense for many people

    I usually just use your mom for this exercise but it loud as hell so it gets annoying
