The girl who played Aurora as a toddler who tried to play with Maleficent's horns was actually Angelina Jolie's daughter. It's why she wasn't afraid! 😂
Aaaah I didn’t know that. That actually makes sense and is totally adorable. I bet both of them have fun looking back on this now.
@@danielwhyatt3278 Yeah she said in an interview they had several kids try out but they were to scared so they tried her daughter and image wasn’t
@@danielwhyatt3278 Really she has a father's smile
Maleficent made one of the biggest mistakes a fairy can make, and didn't choose her words carefully enough. In her curse she said she will be beloved by all who meet her, which effected Maleficent herself.
I never considered that in regards to her before.
EXACTLY
I was just thinking that I didn’t catch it the first time I watched
Omg yes
But there’s one flaw in this, Maleficent made the curse after she met Aurora?
I loved this movie. I watched the original Sleeping Beauty, and it was my childhood favorite Disney cartoon for a LONG time. But I always felt there was more to Maleficent, a story untold. As an adult, I always taught kids that people do not grow up with the intention of one day being a villain. Something almost always drove them there, put them on that path. But starting life, most people start off with hopes and dreams. That was what I always thought of Maleficent, and all of Disney's villains. Every villain has a story why. Then came this movie, and I LOVED it. But what I especially loved was that, like Disney's Frozen, the "hero" of the tale, the one that comes along to save the day, is NOT the prince in shining armor, coming to rescue the "helpless" damsel in distress. That "true love" does not always have to equate to romantic love, but love of family, love of sisterhood, hell, love of SELF. And that you can be your own damned hero, rescue yourself, and you don't need ANYONE, man, OR woman, to come in and do it for you. I love that they are portraying ALL the aspects of true love, and that they are all valid, and have the power to pull you out of the darkness.
I couldn’t agree more. Both with Maleficent and how Frozen worked. Both for the first and second film. It took me far too long to actually watch frozen but now that I have I can fully see why people love it so much is. Both a TRULY beautiful. The first film still didn’t deserve to beat The Wind Rises at the Oscars though. Just saying.
The Little girl playing Aurora is Angelina's daughter Vivian. She was the only child not afraid of her.
Some villains are terribly judged because of what we don't know about what history that created them into feeling so lost, betrayed, vengeful, even suffered in death than life. Maleficent is an extraordinary character, no matter how villainous she became we mustn't give up on what hope could restore her.
You know that means even Hitler is "terribly misjudged" by that logic lmao
Aurora has 2 moms, and 2 dads. Stephen and his wife created her, but the queen died before she could even see her daughter grow up at all, so she's actually a mother in name only. Stephen goes completely insane with all his emotions fighting for control of him all at once. He grew so twisted that he could not love his daughter, because he was too consumed with hatred and vengeance against Maleficent. Diaval and Maleficent were more Aurora's caregivers than either the three "good" fairies ("very good with children" my butt!) or her actual, biological parents. Thus, the two would be inclined to care for her, so much more than her biological parents. Although, to be fair, the fairies who were sent to raise her may have been part of Maleficent's softening towards her, even though she literally told a toddler-aged Aurora, "I don't *like* children." Even before she grew on Maleficent, the facts remain. No power on earth can change [the curse]. Not even by letting the toddler fall off the edge of a cliff. And, sadly, not even trying to revoke her own curse will work. It has to happen, and not even a change of heart can fix this mess directly.
5:36 Fallen angels lose their wings when they crash into earth, just cause you can still feel them doesn't mean thy're still there :D
5:08 "She's like an angel." Indeed. But she looks more like a fallen angel.
19:39 high cheek bones ✅
doesn't like children ✅
That was a fun watch with the two of you, THANKS.
I love watching this one an that other one, that Snow White + the Huntsman, the fairytale worlds are so well done.
Wow! So happy you decided to watch this. I love this one. I hope the other members watch it too.
I appreciate the take on the importance of familial love, and it just not be bound by genetics. I think too many people are actually in dire need of it.
Specially the ppl who thought Frozen was incestuous homoerotic love.
34:47 "Nothing? Maybe try with tongue."
ROFL!!!
The whole kissing a girl while she was asleep, always seemed creepy to me.
And that's where all the memes come from and why people drag Snow White and Sleeping Beauty through the dirt online. I mean they're right, but it can get excessive.
Don't read the original story if kissing a sleeping girl is off putting.
The little girl at 37:00 is Angelina & Brad Pitts daughter, Shilo.
I keep thinking that she came to love Aurora because of the gifts she gave her “shall indeed grow in grace and beauty, loved by *all* who meet her.” If it wasn’t for that Aurora probably wouldn’t have been the person she grew to be. But that’s just my opinion 🤷♀️
even so, the "love" others felt for aurora was surface level. only maleficent and diaval, aurora's surrogate parents, felt true love for her, having taken care of her since she was a baby, and maleficent learned she could love again.
Great reactions to a wonderful fairytale, Michelle & Ellie!!!🎬👏🏽
I love the villians way more than the princess or hero's in movies because they are just broken people who have been hurt one too many times and just want someone to love them as much as others love the princess or the hero whenever I watch a movie with villians in it Disney wise I always usually root for the villians I understand them everyone else who watches Disney movies with me automatically assuming the villians a ass and I'm like yeah but you don't know why they are the way they are especially when you have no one to guide you and tell you that you will find someone who loves you for you even though you just got your heart broken so I'm a villian fan always have been since I was a child always will be even more so now as a adult
aussie dillon 2's reaction to this was full of wisdom, yall should watch it!!
I didn't expect to like this movie but I loved it!
Watching Ellie's facial expressions during films is brill she's cute
I do realise they swapped names at the start and Michelle gas blue hair tint ..
This movie the sequel and Cruella feel like Disney’s version of the Sony Spider-Man Universe cause it involves The Villains being Anti Heroes
Nice reactions, girls! I knew you'd like this one. Have a great weekend!
24:16 someone is walking behind 🧐😅🤗
Around about 19:40, into the reaction that's actually her daughter
Snow a white and the huntsman next pls!!! It’s also quite well done, both movies actually the first and the second!
Toddler Aurora is actually Angelina Jolie's *real-life* daughter.
You all should watch Lilo & Stitch
What saddens me though is that auroras mother never got to be with her daughter, and even Stefan himself went crazy- so aurora didn’t have her parents. Here’s the thing we hate maleficent from one side of the story and root for her in the other- the whole thing is, everyone has a point of view and everyone is no hero or villian, everyone just has circumstances and situations.
But no matter what I would never recommend someone not to have a father, even if they didn’t know each other if someone is alive then there’s always hope.
We need the reaction again with vicky and lia
When you realise that she cused Aurora with eternal sleep, because Stephen drugged her with a sleeping potion to kill her (which technically would have made her sleep forever), only to then cut off her wings.
Thank you so much, you both made my day :)
Ok am I the only grown ass American female who looks on this whole damn family like my lil babeh sisters from other misters?
How many more live action Disney movies are you going to watch?
"Nothing. Maybe try with tongue." 😳🙈🤣👅
Les recomiendo que reaccionen a la película T-34 es una historia de amor rodeada del tema de la guerra.
i love this movie and the fact that they tried to make a princess strong, she doesn't have to be saved by a prince..
Yes I agree, women don't need saving.
Oh nice guys this was awesome
Kids plz reaction apokalipto(2006)plzzzźź😑🙄
Hello beautiful girls, greetings from Venezuela... I love their reactions to movies, a lot of feelings in their reviews, I love them, I like horror movies but a friend recommended this movie, it would be excellent if they could observe it and comment on it, greetings ... movie: Me Before You
Love you always beautiful beautiful homie girls 🥰👍🌹
I love you 😘💕❤️
Did you say you were on fans only I have tried to find you but can't I think you are both very cute and would love to be a fan.
A much better story than the animated Disney and maybe even the Grimm's version.
you two make great reactions😀
Michellefficent I smell a cosplay.
Knowing she's a villain in the cartoon, and always being portrayed that way, I wasn't sure about making Maleficent a good guy when this came out, but I really liked this movie. A unique take on the story
she is not god guy nor bad guy but victim and survivor of greedy 2ambitious person who was on dark path and had redemption, but if u want to categories it then Anti-Hero would be more accurate
@@ShadowWizard stealing a baby, and raising her yeah that's like Stockholm and brainwashing at the same time the word "hero" shouldn't be used in any sense she stole a child and this reflects real life baby gets stolen, then returns 20 years later. Nah

I still wouldn’t call her the good guy here. Sure, to the fairies and such she became a good guy and protector. But I doubt the humans care what the fairies think. Besides, she wasn’t even really the good guy of her own free will. Her curse on the baby literally affected her as well, that she’d be beloved by all. If she didn’t word it that way, her traumas likely would have left her forever angry and hating humans. The movie simply gives her a backstory for why she’s “evil” and alters the fairy tale some. I’d call her more of a neutral character than the good guy in this movie.
@@mausilw That's what an anti-hero is.
34:47 “..maybe try with tongue?” Dearest Ellie - the angels really did break the mould, after they made you. Magical reaction, girls.
The scene where Maleficent wakes up after her wings have been cut goes like this:
A woman trusts a man enough to be alone with him, and he eventually gives her a drink that forces her to sleep. While she’s asleep, he takes advantage and what he wants from her and then leaves, while she wakes up crying and realising she has been permanently damaged. Sound familiar?
Angelina Jolie said in an interview that the scene was deliberately mirroring a woman waking up after being assaulted, hence why it feels so gut wrenching
Meh, better than NOT waking up 😂
@@kayra2444 That's insensitive. That laugh emoji is so inappropriate, what's funny?
@@lilscenechick1995 insensitive but true.
@littleMissMonster is trying to portray the fictional tale of a fictional creature as something similar to real life crimes. but she is obviously naive and has no idea what real life violence is or how it is conducted, so I laugh at her childish portrayal, and give her a piece of what actually happens in real life, and it's "better than NOT waking up".
Yes I sent the same thing from the scene and that’s definitely one of the reasons why I feel so utterly powerful.
@@kayra2444 it's doesn't feel better when it happens to you, especially when you first wake up. As someone who has actually experienced it. For months you wish you were dead. You blame yourself for trusting someone especially when it's someone you grew up with. I actually connected with that part. I understood it. That gut wrenching cry that she did felt very similar to my reaction. It wasn't naive or funny 😠
in fact it was a brilliant way to portray it to young people. They know she was hurt but don't necessarily know to what extent so it won't traumatize them but it was clear enough for adult to understand the similarities and connection
19:30 - Apparently the little girl is Angelina’s daughter irl. They were gonna cast an actual young actress, but she was the only one who wasn’t scared of the costume lol
Oh, I don't know -- mommy can still be scary to a child who's foolish enough to piss her off. :p
@@Ycekhold at 17:11 During this scene she kept scaring the baby so they couldn't film too much. it actually made Angelina cry
24:16 Michelle's dog be like: Sorry ladies , just passing thru"
🤣 it's super cute
Fun Fact: When Maleficent looks in on the little baby/person, they had to use one of Angelina Jolie's kids because they could see "Mommy" through he makeup and costume and be happy.
Please watch "The Neverending Story"!
%100 those movies would make great group reactions.
"Maleficent loves her."
You catch on fast! Bear that statement in mind, ladies! It wasn't a fluke. As I said, you catch on fast.
I believe Angelina said at one point regarding the loss of Maleficent's wings in this was she felt it was similar to a woman being violated when she is vulnerable. Stephen drugs her and takes advantage of her while she is unconscious by mutilating her.
"....Nothing? Maybe try it with tongue" I'm still dying 😂😂😂
5:44 "crush you!" suspiciously like "f*ck you!" 😆
3:49 yes! but not the love story you're expecting... 🥰
Maleficent may not be Aurora's biological mother, but she raised and cared for Aurora like her own. So yes, Maleficent IS Aurora's mother. Blood or not is irrelevant.
5:25- I remember when I first read that Angelina Jolie was casted as Maleficent. I was like,"Yes, she's perfect for the role." I was skeptical on Cruella, but I found to be pleasantly surprised at how good the film was. And Emma Stone killed it, I'm glad they casted her as Cruella.
12:26- Maleficent's anger for Stefan is justified. She trusted him and he shattered it for power. I don't blame Maleficent for being angry at betrayal(I've been betrayed before too, so I know how that feels). However, taking revenge on a innocent child that has nothing to do with Stefan is not okay and Maleficent realized that and regretted as well as having remorse for the curse she put on Aurora. Stefan however, showed no remorse, he had no empathy for Maleficent. Even in the christaining scene, Stefan acted as if he were the victim. I'm like,"Dude You made her like this."
15:07- I do empathize for Aurora's birth mother. She had no idea of the history beef between her husband and Maleficent and what's even sadder Stefan didn't give two shits about his wife. She got really ill and died. Stefan was so consumed in his madness of killing Maleficent and never had any awareness of his accountability. Maleficent took her accountability(Women who think it's okay to hit men without accountability should follow Maleficent's example).
27:05- I've seen reactors shit on Aurora, Snow White even Cinderella for being "weak characters" and I roll my eyes. Cynics can be stupid too. In the animated version, since Aurora was raised as a commoner, she's kinder and more humble. And a little naive, but that's normal she's 16. Another thing I love is how the true love kiss was utilized as irony, because every single motherfucker shits on Disney about the true love's kiss thing(It gets shat on so much I roll my eyes at the annoying backlash of pretentious cynics who think they know everything, but they're just bitter online trolls with no life). I applaud Disney for giving cynical trolls the middle finger by undoing the cliche and remind us not all love is romantic.
Maleficent real life like humans beacuse she half himan to thats why she like her 😉
Enjoyed this reaction great movie you girls are funny when you're angry in the finale battle scene...Ellie says "That Bastard!"..Michelle says Yeah!..Burn him!!🤣❤
When this came out, I was reluctant to see it...because I've never been a fan of the 1959 version. As amazing as the animation was, the story was uninspiring and the leads are boring. I wasn't the least bit surprised when I found out that, because it didn't do very well, Disney cut corners in animation from that point on, starting with the very next feature, *One Hundred And One Dalmations* .Also, it would be some thirty-odd years before they'd do another feature based on a classic European fairy tale ( *The Little Mermaid* )
...but I did see it...and LOVED it. In my opinion, it's so much better than the first version.
That little girl she picked up is actually her own daughter. I didnt realise this watching the movie and it was one stand out moment for me. Angelina said all the other kids would take off running for that scene lol. Brilliant movie all around love it.
13:40 that’s because this is Sleeping Beauty 😮💨
Yes, it is. It is the story of the Sleeping Beauty, but from villain side, Maleficent
This movie is Excellent and so underrated one of Angie best
9:09 "Nooooo!" 😥
American author Robin McKinley wrote 2 different adaptations of this story, "Spindle's End", and "Rose Daughter". You might think it would be repetitive and excessive, but they're great, each and as a set. (and "Beauty" as a more detailed retelling of "Beauty and the Beast" that's memorable)
IMO her masterpiece which I would love to see in a movie though I'm afraid of how they'd mangle it "The Blue Sword".
im so happy you guys watched this!! i love this movie so much, hope you guys react to the second one
"C'mon, Walt....this story's going nowhere! Let's make it more interesting! Uhmmm....wait! I got it! As children, Maleficent and Stefan are friends, but as he grows up, he becomes ruthlessly ambitious, so much so that, to please his dying father, he betrays his friendship with Maleficent and cuts off and steals her wings! Later, when she retaliates by putting a curse on the infant Aurora, Stefan withdraws so much into a dark persona of fear and revenge, we finally see him for what he truly is...the TRUE villain of this story!!! Whattaya think?"
Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed this film.
Love you guys 💕 been watching the Homies forever, and yes, I would happily be Diaval for you two Ladies 😆. Dog, bird, horse, slave, whatever either of you need hahaha 👠🧎🐦
The only thing I didn't particularly like in the movie is that I feel it sends the wrong message. Thinking about it, if Stefan had killed Maleficent, nothing bad would have happened to him or his daughter. It kinda sends the message that if you're in that situation, just kill her
If you think about it, no one really knew she was the princess. In 16 years, all they heard was kill maleficent. No one knew her. It didn’t strike them as odd while they were fighting.
loved this reaction so much! just subscribed. ^^
The child is you daughter in real life
"maybe its hard to cut" HAHAHAHA
yall all should watch Meet Joe Black
24:59 "that's what she said" she said. 😉
So sad Vicky missed this
One of the best reactions ever
Marry to me twice of you❤😁
quem é a mais gata ?
Your dog is adorable
I wanna rewatch it
Aurora as a small child was played by Angelina's daughter because other little girls her age were too scared of "Maleficent".
❤️
In the same line of fairy stories, you should watch "Legend" 1985 (extended or European release only, not the US theatrical release)
This was made a year after "Frozen", where the "act of true love" that removed the curse of the frozen heart was between 2 sisters.
Michelle could to do a "Michelleficent" cosplay.
After seeing the second movie, there are other Dark Fey looks you can be creative with.
If he was honest with her about why he took her wings... He knew that if anyone else came looking for her, they'd have her head, rather than just her wings. Plus, with Stephen being crowned king, he could outlaw the hunting and harassing the faerie creatures in the moors.
But, Disney just made him a low-down, no-good, irredeemable villain. Why was that? Such a wasted opportunity. Do better,Disney.
Please hurry to watch Maleficent Misstress of Evil! It's even better in my opinion, because It's a complete New and good Story and not a new told classic Fairytale.
The young Aurora who came up to Malifacent is in fact Angelina's real life daughter she was the only child who wasn't scared of the way Angelina looked and the horns haha. I love this movie because it's so beautifuly done and shows the evils of men but also the power of woman and the power of true loves kiss being a mother to a child is just a beautiful thought.
I love The Homies but when Michelle Smile, Talk or Breath..... My heart beats harder....
When she tells the girl to go away and she doesn’t like children the girl is Angelina’s daughter Vivienne Pitt, all other kids were scared of Angelina in her costume and her daughter wasn’t.
Word is that Angelina Jolie didn't wear a costume. She just showed up in her daily garb and they started filming.
Why is she now sitting on a throne of her own creation? Well, sleeping in a tree has become a major challenge, since without her wings, she can't get up the tree, or get down from it.
This moviie was actually quite good!
And no worries, you'll always be our YT fairies!
By the way, you absolutely need to watch the second movie too.
Hi. Please Watch: "Maleficent Part II" 😍
"Maybe use the tongue." LOL!!
Ya'll should react to the sequel.
