Enjoyed the video. Love the Foothills trail. I have done a number of day hikes on the trail and enjoyed seeing the areas i've hiked. I am planning a thru hike soon. Others who are planning a thru hike or just a few days there is a great Foothills Trail pocket guide by Scott Lynch. It breaks the trail down going both directions. Thanks for posting the video.
Another good video...I'm planning to hike fht this winter...looks great but after my last Nc AT section a few weeks back, I'm done with hot weather hikes!! Ready for fall...heading out to do jmt in 3 weeks. Can't wait but lil concerned as only have 14 days. How did fht com pair to jmt as far as terrain difficulty obviously lot less altitude..
Hey Richard, Glad you liked the video. The FHT is nothing compared to the JMT. I have gotten a little out of shape this summer but still didn't feel beat at the end of a 20 mile day on the FHT. The JMT has better views, harder climbs and is much more rugged. It's what you would expect the difference would be between eastern US and western US hiking. 14 days is what I hiked the JMT in and it made for some long days but well worth the effort. . Nice video, and I really liked the music. Can you list the music credits here in the comments? I'm planing to do the Bad Creek to Oconee section at the beginning of November. Really looking forward to it. Wish I had a few more days to complete the whole trail.

JMT done...planning on fht between Xmas and New Years...shooting for 4 days if I go solo or 6-6.5 if I take my 9 yr old son. If he goes I would likely want to do a food cache midway to keep weight down...any recs?

Maydog the first song is called Let it Rock by Chatham County Line. Awesome band from up here in NC.
