    14-100% in 31min on a V2. 20-90% in 20min on V3. Do not plug in near zero, not needed for the BYD. Plug in at any SoC and get 176kW (charge curve still applies)

    I have actually seen much better curves with mine. It often doesn't throttle until 55%-60%

    hi, the delta temp hv battery is very high. Can you see on scan my tesla if the values shows in service mode is the real delta battery temp from the cells? The highest temperature of the cells is quite high. For example, at a temperature of 50 degrees, a battery would last 3 years, while at 60 degrees, a battery would last approximately 1 year. So, for example, 20 minutes at 60 degrees correspond to a degradation of 20 minutes x 15 (300 minutes) of battery life under normal conditions. The degradation is not significant, but it is still an aggressive charging power. What seems strange to me is the temperature delta (which in Tesla versions with cylindrical batteries is much lower).

    3:09 this is actually a mistake. For BYD batteries you don't need to precondition the battery to get fastest charging speed. Actually it's the opposite - battery is hot in the beginning and will throttle charging speed later on.... 4:28 - and this is not normal... you would not get throttle at this moment if the battery would not be preconditioned

      True. I’ve learnt that the BYD Battery will overheat, but it’s still a good charging curve.

      That’s one of the biggest causes of degradation. Please don’t even charge without preconditioning first

    Is the AC not cooling the battery? 59 Degrees seems to be very hot for an lithium battery. Or is this one LFP?`LFP should be good with 59 still.

    • @RoamingNorway
      @RoamingNorway  7 місяців тому +2

      This is LFP. It seems like it doesn’t like to go above 59 C.

    • @RoamingNorway

      If they both are preaheated, an no extreme cold, about the same as they do in summer -15%.

      @@RoamingNorway So for RWD LFP would be around 340 km actual range and 400 km in summer. I just booked MY RWD because of your recent reviews. Great videos, Thanks 👍

  • @BlazingsNL
    @BlazingsNL 5 місяців тому +1

    I'm curious.. would the RWD model actually be better for road trips than the LR at this charging speed? I know the LR can theoretically do 250kw but it seems the charging curve is a lot worse than the RWD.

    • @RoamingNorway
      @RoamingNorway  5 місяців тому +1

      My guess is that is very close. It is a very difficult task to find out since there are so many variables. I want to try to make a video on it.

    • @BlazingsNL
      @BlazingsNL 5 місяців тому

      @@RoamingNorway Yeah that's true. And when looking at videos you also have to check whether it's a RWD with the BYD battery or not.
      I've been looking into Tesla a lot for the last few months. Was going to buy the new M3, but decided to wait for the MY Juniper. I'm really curious if they'll put the new type of LFP in the LR for that model, since people speculate 20% more range and 350kw charging. I guess only time will tell..

    Strange, you charge at 112 kW at 42% with an BYD while in another youtube video someone charges at 110 kW at 47% with a CATL. Seems pretty close.

    • @RoamingNorway
      @RoamingNorway  5 місяців тому

      It depends on when you start. The curve is the same wherever you start. I have gotten 175 kW at 50% with the BYD Battery. This was a flawed test.
