- Happy forth of July everyone! I wanted to put the old Mr. Laser on the edger for a while so here it is a game changer for sure , hope you enjoy! We have a online store at markgaliciccha...
What the fathers of the US Constitution had to do to fight for their freedoms. Day of celebration and thanks.
What a great improvement to the edger!
Good demonstration of how the machine works !
Hi Mark. Great idea. I saw definitely saw the green laser. I used " improvise" all the 32 yrs in farming. ( I'm retired for over 6 yrs.) I often make my own " hardware." My first seeing black cherry. To me. The wood's color reminded me of " flesh colors." The second log was prettier to me. Happy 4th to everyone. Say Hi to Ed, ZZ, & Hank. 🥰😊😉😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Cherry wood is a very pretty wood when finished properly.
THANK YOU for the edger lesson. I have a greater appreciation for what and how it edges the boards. I have such gratitude for you taking the time to educate your viewers. Happy 4th!
Nice and bright on the timber, just day light and bright sunshine to see if it’s visible. Well thought out, and we look forward to seeing it make life easier for you guys. Happy 4th to you all in the USA from us in the UK.
I watch a variety of other mill channels. Your methods are very similar to those of Nichol Sawmill (and more). The main difference I see is the cutting speed. You explain and use a great conversational tone. Nichol is just cutting one after another. I like your pace. Very relaxing.
Yes i think we all MUST see the laser now.....great idea to use the old laser!!
Great to see the guy with the orange top wearing a weightlifter's belt to prolong the life of his lower back. Smoking kills cartilage; I wish a certain someone else would wear one too.
This modification on edger is an ergonomic an positive idea , better for less moove and lower possibility to accident ... better for rentability better for worker . Very good idea . Sorry for my anglish... i'm frenchman from Québec, bravo !
Mark, you're brilliant!! This is such a great way to help you get the most from your board! You're so good at explaining things. Your channel is just fun, interesting & professional!! 🌟🤩✨️👍 I SO agree with you on the helmet cam 🤢👎 My hubby said you could name it laser, "It takes the edge off" 😉😆😆
The thing I've come to enjoy about your channel is the sheer variety of types of lumber you saw. Once in a while you saw a kind of wood I've not seen before, but most of the time you saw the usual suspects. The thing that doesn't make it boring is all the little orders which make you be creative in your sawing. I still want to hear you say "let the big dog eat" when you use the master dog, but I've learned you can't have everything you want in life. Oh well...
I asked an old timer what wane was on a board right after I first started working in a sawmill, and he told me that's where there "Waint no wood" , old guy was a hoot.
Great addition there Mark .
Happy 4th to you and the crew! I can see that laser as clear as can be. On the saw I can see it occasionally on darker wood!
Hey Mark! Happy 4th ... laser on the edger, fantastic!
Yes I see the laser ! Great job Marc.
Can see the laser. I do appreciate your explaining things as you go. Thanks for the video.
Mark, great video! That old green unit shows up really well on that Cook's edger.
Thanks for the 4th of July video Mark and taking time from your holiday day off to do this! I can see Mr. Laser!
That turned out awesome mark it is very clear and visible .thanks for this holiday video .
The laser looks great that will a sweet addition to the edger. Happy 4th
Pretty Lime Green Lazer 👌
Congratulations to you're independence day Mark, I wish you guys all the best, we're NATO partners but clouds looks into horizont, hope we overcome this to, all the best my friend
Nice work installing that laser, Mark. Having never sawed logs, very interesting for me.
I saw that Temple Hill video. I’m not a sawyer so I don’t know much but when it threw the log it scared me. I jumped just watching it.
I like Temple Hill, yes indeed he had a very bad day sawmilling. I would have quit after the first one and called it a day.
Yes sir Mark I can see the Light
I saw the laser without any problem. Happy 4th!!❤❤❤❤
Cook Edger is made less than 5 miles from my house. The Cook Family are good people.
I saw the laser on both boards.
That new laser is slick. Love the channel, I watch all.
that laser you put onto the edger should pay for itself in a week or two with the extra board feet of lumber that is kept as usable boards. Excellent video showing us folks with little to no knowledge about all the trials and difficulties that are built into every good hardwood board we use in our shops!! Many thanks for your conservation efforts...👍
Nice addition to the edger! Happy Independence Day
Lasers clear as crystal
I have come to realize that between you all there is almost nothing you cannot figure out how to do. Really enjoy the videos where you are showing the depth of your knowledge.
Happy 4th to you and all other staff members.
Very nice edger cam!!
Thanks for the video.
I see it. I understand.
hi up there . great show happy 4 th john
Yes, very clear laser, it should work great for quickly getting the random widths and save lots of time, no more having to use your measuring stick. Happy 4th.
Yes the lazer looks real nice and can take the guess work out of it.
Happy 4th guys, enjoy your weekend. 🎅🏻
Mister Mark I watched that video and I was wondering what was the best way to saw that log because to me it looked like he was taking his time and not trying to be fast me being dumb as a box of rocks looks like he was doing everything right be safe and have a great day and a wonderful 4 of July Sam
Wife and I enjoy watching, have learned a lot. The lazer on the edger is great. I can't really see the lazer on the mill. Good job. Thanks
That's a great idea Mark and it should make things a bit easier for you.
You are very patient. Sometimes I don't feel like I have enough patience.
That laser is going to save time and material. Peace
Happy fourth fellas! ❤
That lazer is the cats meow mark. It is going to make things a lot easier for ZZ in not having to measure each board individually! But a good name would be EDGIE THE EDGER, i think so anyway! Lol🤣🤣🤣🤣
New to your channel but I just love watching you saw the logs. I'm an old city kid and never was exposed to a saw mill operation, this believe it or not I find very soothing. The laser looked awesome and thanks for the enjoyment. God bless.
Happy 4th and the Temple Hill guy didn't have enough width in the saw teeth and the tension in the log was binding down on the blade. THAT's why the old sawyer/logger swaged the teeth on the old FRICK mill. Made a wider kerf and didn't get bound down by the wood. Good deal on the edger laser. The old edger here was an eyeball deal. So happy weekend and God Bless. The Temple Hill scared me BAD too.
The laser light is easier to see on the edger. On the saw you can see it almost every time you roll the log. If viewers do not see it over there, then they must be laser blind.
I saw Mr Laser SR. I can see how that will help a lot.
I can see the Lazer great.
happy 4 th to you and the gang there with you.
I checked on my channel when i got home from work today, and my video had so many views. I thought what the hell is going on. Lol. I appreciate the shout out. This is my biggest production yet. Happy 4th
Hey Mark and Gang, Now I like the laser on the Edger. I can really see it working out to the good. I was kinda expecting to see the Red Laser on the Mill to be honest. I thought you had said you were going to try it out. Maybe I misunderstood you, Sorry if I did.
Well Happy 4th to all. Thanks for sharing all the hard work Y'all do.
Very cool! I love McGuyvering stuff like that, too. Brilliant idea.
Mark,
I can see the laser just fine here on the edger but on the mill sometimes I can see it and sometimes I can't
I don't understand why but at the end of the day all that matters is that you the operator see's it.
H-A-P-P-Y 4TH OF J-U-L-Y!!!🎆🎆🎆🎆Mr Laser is very "green" today LOL
Happy 4th July May be u could use a some sort conduit to save the wire on laser it just a idea May The Good Lord Bless ur family & Eddie & ZZ Mark again Happy Independence Day ❤ ur subscriber Peter A from SC
Happy 4th! Mark the videos you guys make are great and more fun to watch compared to those high production videos. It's amazing how quick they process a log but your videos teach us things and are quite relaxing. Thank you!
Ur lumber cutting will be more precise. Looking good.
Hi Mark - I saw videos after this one before this one and noticed the laser immediately - seems like a major efficiency gain. Very cool! I didn't totally understand the fixed side of the edger until watching this vid. Thanks!
Laser???🤔🤔🤔🤔 It sort of reminds me of the movie with Austen Powers and Dr. Evil. Dr. Evil wanted sharks with lasers on their heads. 😃😃😃😃 Love the laser. What ever you can do to make things better is a good thing. That Wayne sure is on the hit list. How accurate do your cuts need to be? I am thinking the board will change size once it is dry. Thanks for the holiday video. It is always good to see you.🤨🤨🤨
Thank you for showing the laser set for your edger. by the way enjoy your videos
The laser is good and bright on my monitor
Laser evident. Good explanation. Happy 4th July weekend.
ZZ, once you throttle up the Detroit and insert the nail, it's mandatory you tap the handle at least three times, per T.H.E. Eddie.
What a awesome video Mark and ZZ ,your a very good handy man Mark as is Eddie too ,that lazer just worked a treat for you ,thanks for showing another awesome vid :)
Nice Mark, and yes could see the laser perfect, good job. On the head block laser, many times i can see the laser on the end of the log before you start cutting, then sometimes cannot see it. also sometimes along the log and sometimes cannot see it on the log at all; do not know why that is? The edger laser is perfect. That lets us see where the blade is cutting. It must be a real "biscuit" to keep everyone happy lol :) thanks for all you do to bring quality videos and we appreciate it.
Call the edger “Slim” because it only takes off slim pieces of wood.
"Saw-Cookie" The Edger
The Laser is bright
The laser is very clear.
At 1.30 min squeak squeak squeeeak 😱😱😱 causing goosebumps! Please put some pig fat/grease onto the rail/spindle. I can stand grunting much better than squeaking! 😁 ;-) Thanks in advance for consideration.
Best regards, luck and especially health to all of you.
that edger sure makes life better thing is great for that application bet your glad ya got it set up
Thanks for showing how the rails on the edger work. Now that I understand that the top rail is a sight-line for the fixed blade, I get how quickly you can place the left side of the board. The laser then makes quick work of placing the right blade. Good video.
love your work Mark.
Hey Mark and others, Love your lazer. I couldn't help myself from wanting to reach and "snap" that lazer line. It just looked too much like a chalk line. Great video on the installation. I'm sure who ever is running that edger in the future will really appreciate your efforts today. God bless you all and be safe.
You mean I am not the only one that gets motion sickliness from helmets cameras.
I agree. I will not watch when the helmet camera is used.
Happy 4th!! The laser on the edger is going to make everyone's job a whole lot easier Mark! It's nice to watch you guys and totally enjoy it. THANKS GUYS!!!!
Interesting vocal on the edger laser install. I'd take that cherry any day rather than make fire wood out of it. It;s amazing how you can take a strange looking log and get usable lumber out of it.
Happy 4th guys! Can see the laser and that should make edging faster. See y'all soon.
Temple Hill Sawmil accidents part is too fast for his swampier wasn't able to keep up and the sawyer knew there was tension in the log I think he should have stopped
Both lasers, Larry on the mill and Lenny on the edger providing the light show give the place a festive glow. Yes they can be seen quite well.
Happy 4th Mark, Eddie, and ZZ!
Good video Bus Motor Productions
Can see the laser fine. Name the edger Mr. Ripper
Call him Jack for short then
Yes I could see the laser on the edger. Sometimes I can see it on the saw, other times I can’t. One time I saw it on the end grain of the log and when you moved it towards the saw, it disappeared as it came into more light. I wonder if a cloudy day or time of day makes a difference.
I was able to see the green laser
Happy 4th to you all first of all, and as usual it a great pleasure to see tyhe house in operation with then in house band singing on
Yes
Nice boards, and yes I saw Temple Hill , could have been a lot worse
😛😛😛😛😛😛❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That Lazer is completely visible! Great video!
Happy 4th guy's
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY MARK!
Happy 4th
