      Thanks for this very useful video. So I installed the latest versions and it indeed just comes back into Pixinsight. However, this is not necessarily a good thing. While my little test did a very nice job without intervention, I might want to modify the settings, much as I have been doing with GradientXTerminator in Photoshop exchanging the pics via files. Do I have to go back to outputting a file, opening Graxpert then saving and reloading, or can it be set to pull up the command window while still just reloading the image straight into Pixinsight? Whatever the answer to that keep up the good work. I'm very happy with the Mac mini M2 I bought in large measure due to your advice.

      Make sure you have recent version of graxpert and run it once outside of PI. Then in PI setup your Image Container. Open Graxpert script from tool box. You have to put an image name in the box (not sure it matters what image). Once you do that choose the correction method and set desired smoothing parameter. Then drag triangle onto workspace to create graxpert icon. Then drop icon onto image container. I've done it this way several times.

    You must have a wrong version of GraXpert installed. I'm the author of the script and normally it should not open GraXpert. On my Mac GraXpert is processing the image in the background, saves it as a new fits file and the script reopens this fits file and replaces the content of the open image with the content of the fits file. That's how it works or should work. If GraXpert opens this is not the intended behavior of the GraXpert command line.

    • @jurgenterpe4121
      @jurgenterpe4121 9 місяців тому +1

      But you must at least start GraXpert once to allow the program to be started (security restrictions on macOS).

      Also es gibt nur die Stand Alone Version - in PixInsight selbst wird nichts installiert - das Script greift dann auf die Stand Alone version zu. Wichtig: Neuste Version von GraXpert runterladen: Repository link: www.ideviceapps.de/PixInsight/Utilities Dann wie beschrieben das Script installieren und dann bei der Zange rechts unten dem Script sagen, wo Dein Graxpert File (.exe) oder App bei Mac liegt.
