Jim Lafayette passed away in September 2021. I'll never forget his kindness to me and showing interest in this kid who likes "his" railroad. Rest in peace Jim, and remember that the stories you hear on the video are even more priceless than they were before.
Thank you so much for reminding me of my childhood when my dad worked for the D&H (short runs, home every night). One time I got to ride in the engine (got on in Green Island) and eat in the caboose that had a pot belly coal stove for heat.
Just an absolutely amazing video. By far your best one yet. I could listen to Jim talk all day long! I’m so glad he’s sharing his stories. Keep spreading them, Harrison!
Really appreciated your layout of Whitehall! It brought back memories of when I worked with you in Fort Edward as a signal maintainer.Fantastic job on the train layout! I got a lot out of listening to your stories!🚂🚦
This is so amazing! I’ve always wanted to see Jim’s layout. He put a lot of work into it. Jim is a great friend and was a great railroader. He’s one of the BEST!!
Oh man, I'm gonna miss this one. I'm heading out of town Friday for my late brother-in-laws memorial service. I'll have to catch it when I get home. But I DID give you a "Thumbs Up!" anyway, I know it's going to be good!

Absolutely Gordy. I'm heartbroken that he will never be able to operate on my layout, but I am glad that his legacy will live on in many ways.
Watched the video Harrison, and you know what? This isn't just a video, it's an historic document.
I hope you've got a lot more coming from Mr. Jim!
