I've owned 4 mustangs now in my life time (I'm 43) 2005, 2011, 2017 and now a 2023 Mach 1 and I can confirm, this is the best sounding stock mustang exhaust ever, besides the GT350 and GT500. I won't even touch anything on the Mach, it's perfect the way it is. Track mode the exhaust screams and I find my self putting it in quiet when I am around cops lol.
I agree. Ford tunes the Mustang exhaust they use from the factory. My only reason for changing would be a performance upgrade. I'm not sure how much performance you gain going from stock.
The first Mod my brother did on his 2021 Mach1 was the hood struts to eliminate the prop rod. The second mod was me installing the Steeda H-pipe. I agree that the stock exhaust has an awesome sound and my brother agrees also but after installing the H-pipe we both were impressed and glad we did it!
I absolutely love the sound of this! With most systems, they just take the stock exhaust and crank it up to 11 without making it sound good. This on the other hand is very well made and the day I buy a Mustang, this is my first mod!
At first i felt like i didn't need to change the resonator out on my mach 1 but after doing it anyway I'm much happier with the steeda hpipe added to this awesome car. Really easy mod anyone can do themselves even on jack stands.
I just installed my Steeda H-Pipe on my 2021 Mustang GT yesterday, all stock with the oem active catback, it sounds so damn good. I watched countless videos, and none of them capture the deeper tone they have in person! Thanks @Steeda
It sounds perfect with the h pipe. I’ve seen a Mach 1 with an x pipe and it was too raspy. The low tone is the way to go even if you give up a couple of hp to the x pipe.
Stock exhaust sounds good compared to previous models. I watched an X pipe clip and its louder but raspy. Good for a teenager. The H pipe really wakes it up but I feel like those mufflers need to go. Imagine the music this car could make with that H pipe and a pair of Corsa sports? Or some Borla's. Now I need to look for more vids.

A bit too rasppy for my liking, but almost sounds the same as OEM exhaust. I don't know why people would want to change something that's perfect from the factory.
Resonator delete just adds volume, doesn't change the exhaust note. With all the cabin insulation on the newer Mustangs, people want to actually be able to hear the exhaust with the windows up.

@@chrism.728 not me which is why I chose the x pipe. In my opinion it just sounds more like a race car. But that's personal preference. I do know the difference, thank you.
@Chris at Steeda: I saw that there is a 5-7 pounds of weight savings by deleting the stock resonator. How much horse power is increased??? I watched a dyno video and remember it was +5 Hp for the H-pipe & +6 Hp for the X-pipe. Is that accurate?????
We made a video dyno testing our X-Pipe and H-Pipe on a 2021 GT. The H-Pipe saw about 2hp & 2ft/lbs over stock and the X-pipe saw about 8hp & 9ft/lbs. Real world, you aren't going to notice a few horsepower difference, so we recommend the one that sounds best to you!
I have a Steeda H pipe sitting in a box, waiting for transplant to my Bullitt but honestly, the OE exhaust sounds so good (and I always leave it in track mode!) that I'm concerned about cutting out the resonator, possibly losing that tonal quality and adding drone. Other than increased volume, does the H pipe create any of those issues?
The stock exhaust sounds just as good or even better to me. No need to risk losing factory warranty or the great quality sound of the stock exhaust at all.
I think Steeda themselves said there was a little bit of drone with their H-pipe on the 5.0 I'm in the same boat... just enjoying those V8 tunes in track mode.
Would be a waste of money and time to install h pipe kit for what is a very marginal difference in sound. You really wouldn't notice any difference without a meter and you wind up cutting your nice factory exhaust to install kit.
I respectfully disagree. I have installed an H-pipe on my brothers 2021 Mach 1 and the difference is noticeable. When Steeda had their dyno day, we were there with another Mach 1 and an x-pipe. There was an slight increase on the dyno. At idle things are not much different but when you get on it, WOW!
