Ratt was a sensation for casual listeners both mainstream and otherwise but to the aspiring/budding musicians and the professional guitarists,...Warren DeMartini was always held in a higher regard like George Lynch, Jake E Lee as sort of the best of the best....Still to this day. I've been playing for 36 years...I tossed the idea around for a couple of years in my very early teens but it was Warren that brought about that moment that sent me to a dead serious and dedicated 3 hours a day practice routine that would see me to a long road to being a lifelong guitarist. Absolutely. Extremely underrated. To this day I still have difficultly playing some passages in-time and note for note complete when playing as the only guitar in a band... it's extremely difficult at the end of the solo to hit that chorus rhythm in time and on the beat. Yea yea I know that's not how it's done on the album and they had two guitar players but... still. ua-cam.com/video/AXXrT7j7VW8/v-deo.html

One of the great rock songs from the 80s. Right up there with Panama, Looks that Kill and Rock You Like a Hurricane. This is from 1984. One of the greatest years of rock. One of my favorite videos from that era too. The Van Halen and Twisted Sister vids were fun too from that year.

Yeah!!! 80’s Hair Metal!!! Some of my favorite stuff came from the 80’s Hair Bands, very cool stuff. Ratt, Poison, Warrant, Mötley Crüe, Cinderella, Skid Row etc. Great bands, great music, very fun times. Kel is right, very fun music. Check out more hair bands. By the way, Milton Berle was in the video because someone in his family (niece, nephew, in laws, I can’t remember exactly who) managed the band and asked Milton Berle to appear in their debut video, Milton Berle also appeared in their second video, Back For More. \m/ Stay Metal \m/
Rich, you have a good voice for radio, seriously. I thought it was funny seeing Kel getting into the visual story line of the video while we guys are all out here getting into the riffs and the vocals. Men’s brain vs. woman’s brain. Good stuff. My condolences about your son. As a parent my heart goes out to you both. Rock on you two!

Tawny Kitaen is indeed associated with Ratt ; she is the model on the album cover for Out Of The Cellar, and I think it is her gams that appear on the debut eponymous EP, as well . Not sure if she appeared in any of their videos, though? Another model, Marianne Gravatas (sp?) appears on the cover of the Invasion Of Your Privacy album.

They were Mickey Ratt with Jack E Lee on guitar before he recorded Bark at the Moon
this brings back memories. I know their discography by heart, but I never saw this video go figure. thanx guys
Stephen is living clean once again and sounding really good. Jordan Ziff is the new lead guitarist and is quite an amazing young talent. #rattandroll
I love y’all and I’m sending y’all prayers and love from Commerce Georgia ❤️🇺🇸🔥❌
They were awesome in concert back in the day!!!.L.A. Hair bands)))
Way Cool junior is a great tune by them. The video with snoopy in it is hilarious))
I remember taping off the radio and missing the beginning or end of the song because of the DJ talking into it. 😅
You guys are great! ✌
Saw Ratt open for Motley Crue in Springfield Mass. 1984
You guys are awesome. Keep Rocking.🎸
I played that song in 3 different and it all ways kicked ass . Thanks guys Love ya
I knew you lost your son, but I didn’t realize it was so soon and was the inspiration for what you do. I can’t imagine how hard that must be.
Thank you for allowing us to share this experience with you.
....and this song is an awesome choice... Haven’t seen that video in literally decades.
R.I.P. KING,gone but NEVER forgotten.....
Yeah, the 80s was such a carefree and fun time.
Here in 2024, I want my fun back.
The base player Juan was the original bassist for Dokken.
Always loved this band!! I was in high school when this came out.and kel, what part of Canada did you grow up in?? I am from malone ny which was about 40 minutes south of Montreal. Played alot of hockey in Canada growing up!!
Where have you been guys
I havent seen you making shows for a long time!
Welcome back !
I can kinda appreciate Kels situation, back in the early 80's i wasnt allowed to watch mtv luckily they couldn't stop me from listening to the radio.
Love the song, and your reaction. "Round And Round" was one of my favorite songs by Ratt. I especially like the chorus:
"Round and round
With love we'll find a way just give it time
Round and round
What comes around goes around
I'll tell you why."
Damn those were some cool days! Thanks you two! BTW Kel, I love your MTV shirt! \m/
Great song from a great era. Brought back a bunch of memories. Peace.
THANK YOU FOR DOING RATT!!!!! do one good lover next ;-)
Yall doing a great thing
Dude, you pick the best sh+t to turn her on to. As a guitar player, these hair songs with the big drums and killer guitar riffs is exactly what turned me on to playing. Warren coming through the ceiling... OMG. Steve
1984 was in my opinion the PEAK of the best music, movies, and general pop culture - and this song, this band, is proof of that.
