Elated to see y'all again after a long while! Stryper set a crazy bar for 80's christian rock/music. They went with their hearts and souls to make a niche that was in that time very diverse in so many genres. A Christian rock band making it...even still surviving today is a testament to their faith. But they do freaking rock!!!! Love y'all and I hope to see more videos from you guys.
Their albums over the past ten years have been incredible…as good as anything they’ve ever done, and in some cases better. I’d buy an album or two of there(there’s 4) or at least give them a listen on you tube. My favorite song on this new album is called Near.
Hi Kel and Rich. My husband and I watch you a lot. We enjoyed watching you listen to Stryper. When we got married in 1988, we bought sheet music of Stryper's song, "Together as One" for my father -in-law to play for our wedding. He still talks about how we gave him a heavy metal song to play in church!
WOW that voice how it stands the test of TIME through all these years !!!! This was my 1st ever concert while they toured with another very under rated band White Lion during the In GOD We Trust tour 88-89. It is the message behind the song be it if it is a good or bad message about life and how we LIVE it as we are ALIVE in this world we all live in.
These guys are like wine..they get better with age! No stopping STRYPER. Michael Sweet had just gone through eye surgery and Oz just went through brain surgery. They keep rolling. Total respect for these guys.
SO many 80s metal singers...who used to just WAIL...suffered from age-diminished vocal ability. Michael Sweet CLEARLY has not lost, even a SMIDGE of his ability. Absolutely AWESOME! Almost as awesome as having YOU TWO back in the world of reactions!
incase anybody is wondering, Michael isn't wearing the eye patch to look "cool" he's had eye problems specifically a detached retina several times. a major operation to correct it could result in permanent blindess in that eye. I've been a fan of these guys since '86. 🤘🤘
Honestly Stryper’s last few records have been absolutely awesome!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘the god squad lyrics I can’t take or leave (the opposite end of the lyrical spectrum to Obituary who I absolutely love) but doesn’t stop me listening to them - his voice is amazing! 😁 ps that riff reminds me of the second song on the Tribe album “sons of bukowski”.
As a old school metal head growing up in this era, I wasn't really into the glam/ hair metal thing but Stryper was the one band I did love. Michael's voice to Robert's drumming was n still is today amazing. I so happy Oz pulled through his health crisis and is doing so much better.
Stryper is the rare band that ages like a fine wine. Get better and better as they go. Every time they release a new album, I always say this is the best album of there's I've heard and it can't get any better. No joke, they release another album and then I say the same thing I did before. These guys seriously bring it! Positive music and they have the chops to back it all up. I think it's unique also that they have so many fans of so many different backgrounds. Christians, Atheists, Satanists, and everything in between. They all love and respect them for many different reasons ranging from the music itself all the way to the fact they they've never changed who they are or what they're about to please anyone. They've stayed true since day one no matter how difficult the road got
Great reaction for a great band. I love their music and can't wait for their new album to drop next week. All three singles they have dropped on youtube so far are outstanding! Please do more of their newer music when you get a chance. You won't regret it. :)
These guys are getting better with age instead of slipping - It's pretty incredible. BTW - Michael did the production, so that is just one more area where he is SUPER talented. Of course, the whole band is super talented. Definitely jump into more from them. Some recent songs: "The Valley", "Yahweh", "Marching Into Battle", "Blood From Above".... So many!!!
became a fan in 86 infact they became my favorite band and still are. I never saw them in concert but watched some on UA-cam! these guys still bring it. check out the new album it's awesome 😎
Stryper is so incredible! They do continue to only get better each album they release. You should check out the album "Even The Devil Believes" it was released in 2020.
You guys are back. Great !!! Yeah stryper rocks! Huge fan since about 84 when I first heard soldiers ♥️🤘🤘 Glad you're back guys. You two are jewels. ♥️🤘♥️ Man, Micheal has some pipes and they are both great guitarists and the new bass player is awesome and Micheal brother is a killer drummer. What else can you ask for. That song was 👍♥️🤘🤘♥️
Thank you Kel and Rich for letting me know Stryper is releasing a new album! I had no idea! This song is pure fire and I can’t wait to hear the rest of it! New song for my playlist. FYI- after I watched your reaction I went and checked out some of their music since the 80’s and discovered that they did a cover of Carry on Wayward Son. I still love the original by Kansas first but Stryper’s cover is amazing! Keep rockin’ ! 🤘🤘
great job guys!! three other incredible tunes on this New album.... Same old story, way, the Truth, way, the life, no rest for the Wicked and then on last album... Do unto others.
another two stryper tunes well worthy.... 1. Yahweh 2. Sorry (my niece and grand daughter rock to this one.... mid tempo, crunchy, melodious, memorable
They rock for Jesus! That's all that matters to me! Please react to Divider and Do Unto Others! I started listening to Stryper back in 1985 with the Yellow And Black Attack and haven't stopped! Great guys, great band! It's pretty sad how badly they were treated by some people in the body of Christ, but they are persevering! Thank you for reacting to Stryper! Another christian band you should react to is Skillet and their songs Awake And Alive, and Invincible! Thanks again!
One of my favorite bands of all time, been a fan since '84. Definitely their more recent album are a lot "ballsier" than their hair metal days. Michael Sweet can still bring it with his voice, and him and Oz Fox make one of my favorite guitar tandems of all time, right up there with Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Michael Sweet had eye surgery sometime before that video, hence the eye patch.
Welcome back guys! Kel loves metal so can you guys check out the new Insomnium song/music video “Lilian”? Very emotional and powerful band from Finland I think y’all will like. One of my very favorite bands.
I just came across your channel and must say hi to the both of you! My name is Mark, I live in Portland, Oregon but am currently in AJ, Arizona helping my parents with my wife Lisa. I have been a longtime Stryper fan since their first release in 1983. Wow, that ages me, lol, but hey, its all good! I turn 57 this coming May 2024. I'm just a couple years younger than Michael and 3 years younger than Robert I believe. I am also a drummer, since 1980. I've been hampered by painful injuries, all requiring surgical repair and painful recoveries with months upon months of physical therapy. In this video, did you notice the eye patch on Michael and the short hair on Oz Fox? Michael had to wear it due to a detached retina and Oz had to go through a brain tumor surgery of some sort. A total grace of God they made it through those battles and are doing well!
Hi Mark! Hello back to you! Thank you for the information on Stryper. Sorry to hear of your injuries. Thank you for providing music to so many and for taking it on the chin to make it happen. Much love from the two of us. Thank you so much for reaching out and watching along with us. 💕💕KnR 😎🫶👏👏👏👏👏
Totally enjoyed your reaction and that it was both of your first time. Keeps it real! I have been a Styper fan from the beginning; in 1983 buying their first cassette "The Yellow And Black Attack", that was double priced and only had 6 songs [others added later], with the banned nuclear missiles art on the cover. But had to get it for the song 'You Know What To Do', after hearing it on our local Christian stations teen music show. They did set the bar high in Christian rock, and many followed after their appearance.
So glad you both are back in the saddle! Stryper definitely underrated! When you are ready to check out a melodic metal young band carrying the torch as the dinosaurs die off, check out Liliac. The song Sail Away is killer ballad and not afraid will punch you in the face!
Was introduced/turned on to Stryper thru Yellow & Black Attack & have been everlasting fan. When I introduced my church friends to them, some were "Meh" about it as they were into to mainstream CCM, such as Amy Grant, Twila Paris, Sandi Patti & Keith Green. But caught some heat from others that said "If you listen to them, they'll lead you down the Highway To Hell!"-lol. Among Christian Rockers that I am still fans of include, but are not limited to....Petra, Mylon LeFevre, DeGarmo & Key...among others. FYI, Rich....As Roxx Regime, they sharpened their metal teeth alongside Ratt, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, Dokken, Y & T & other groups that were on the leading edge of the L.A. Hair/Metal scene
Rich, your hair is different and you look younger brother. What's your secret? They rock. What a song, I'd never heard it, but man his vocals and the guitars and drums and bass.. Wow, it was sooooo good! Thanks guys!
Rich I would listen to the new album. It is a kick in the face 80's mixed with new metal like this but I only heard 5 songs on this album but I will be listen the rest of this album this weekend. My favorite right now is ashes to ashes.
Another great video guys. I just stumbled on your channel tonight. In fact, I wrote another comment on soldiers under command. I'll have to check you guys out more often. In the meantime, you should check out a band called Alter Bridge. They are amazing and by far and away my favorite band.
It is so good to see that Kel is doing better, and it is awesome that you both are back doing reaction videos. Stryper is an awesome band!!! Check out the song "Yahweh". It is probably my favorite song that Stryper has done. I love how they have actually transformed over the years into more of a metal band and less of a glam/hair band. And they still sound so good after 40+ years of rocking!!!!!
I'm not a huge metal fan but I have to admit that is one impressive song. Extraordinary skill. Grunge is more my thing but when metal is done well I respect it. And that was done well. Oh if you haven't done it yet I suggest Pearl Jam's "Release".
They have several releases several videos from this album. Every 2 yrs new album lately. Look them up at least 15 videos the last several years. You will be amazed.
Yeah they have been putting out albums in their new run since 2005 album Reborn. They put out a new album every 2 yrs. Michael sweet himself has been putting out solo albums every few years since 1994
Good review on Stryper's new album. Sorry that you dont see the true message that the band has always very simply shown thru all their songs. Its not about the "Universe" or other comfortable words for a "Deity" of choice for ones own satisfaction. Their message is biblical and Christ.
I was never a huge fan of the band, but I have to admit they can rock the shit out of it. This could easily be a Judas Priest song. Very cool guys, I’ll be giving this band some new found respect and check them out further. In answer to Kel’s comment about how a certain song reminds me of a certain time in my life, for me the music has been THE factor in my life, all the music I grew up with is such a major part of my life most times. Stay Cool 😎 and… \m/ Stay Metal \m/
I like it. Oddly, my favorite Stryper song is “Against the Law”. Not their most popular. Michael Sweet is an incredible singer. I think he would have been a perfect Van Halen singer for round 3 over Gary. Imagine Michael’s voice for “on fire”. OMG epic! Cheers Kel and Rich! Love you guys!
Elated to see y'all again after a long while! Stryper set a crazy bar for 80's christian rock/music. They went with their hearts and souls to make a niche that was in that time very diverse in so many genres. A Christian rock band making it...even still surviving today is a testament to their faith. You got it!!!! Much love and respect. ❤KnR🫵👏👏👏🧨💥🤘🤘
Salvation Through Redemption Yielding Peace, Encouragement, and Righteousness🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽 for anyone who didnt know what STRYPER stood for!
STRYPER RULES!!!👍👊👊🤜🤛💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️
Haven't heard this band in a loooong time. They're still rockin.
Their albums over the past ten years have been incredible…as good as anything they’ve ever done, and in some cases better.
I’d buy an album or two of there(there’s 4) or at least give them a listen on you tube. My favorite song on this new album is called Near.
Lucky you
Michael Sweet and Oz Fox can shred with the best of them! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽and don't forget Robert Sweet on drums
Never heard of these guys but boy they can rock. That opening note sustained by the singer was sick
Listen to To Hell With The Devil
You have an incredible catalog to explore.
Try listening to the song surrender if you want to hear some good vocals..
They have been around since 1983. Michael sweet has an amazing voice.

Their song The Valley is amazing.
And they aren't back because they never really left. 9 records since 2005.
Older, wiser, HEAVIER!!!! They still RIP! Peace, party people.
Haven't heard this rockin band in awhile. Michael Sweet has a great voice. Loved it!
incase anybody is wondering, Michael isn't wearing the eye patch to look "cool" he's had eye problems specifically a detached retina several times. a major operation to correct it could result in permanent blindess in that eye. I've been a fan of these guys since '86. 🤘🤘

The silence was the best reaction I've seen!
Great reaction for a great band. I love their music and can't wait for their new album to drop next week. All three singles they have dropped on youtube so far are outstanding! Please do more of their newer music when you get a chance. You won't regret it. :)
Yes, please!
This album is not their last album but the last of a series of albums - Fallen, God Damn Evil, Even the Devil Believes, and Final Battle.
Great reaction... STRYPER is back!!!!!! Love these guys💯
Kel’s stank face alone was worth the watch. Glad to see you guys back!
I saw them about a month ago and they were absolutely awesome live.
Saw these guys at a small bar in Richmond Va back in like '87 . Very cool show.😎
Wow, I’m so glad to see you back. You both look amazing.x
I saw these guys in Canberra OZ. What an incredible performance! The crowd were pumping - and every bikie from NSW was there!
These guys are getting better with age instead of slipping - It's pretty incredible.

I saw these guys on their first tour that came through florida in the 1980’s they still got it and are good dudes
Thanks for a great video. Stryper is one of the bands that made me become a musician. Be safe and skilful. Pinge
People that hate on a band for something other than the actual MUSIC...is just plain stupid. Stryper is a solid metal band.
btw.... the respect you give at the end, is so good and professional. kudos!! would make Stryper proud!!
Sweet Jesus Stryper still Killin Ir after 40 Years. Holy Smokes
my forever favorite band ive seen em 6x they are always amazing
No Vince Neil here folks. That was awesome for a band that’s been doing this since the 80’s 😎👍🏼👍🏼
Stryper is so incredible! They do continue to only get better each album they release. You should check out the album "Even The Devil Believes" it was released in 2020.
yes, I recommend No more hell to pay to present...for stuff released in this century.

I've seen Stryper twice and absolutely love their music, one of my personal favorite bands.

Favorite band! You can flood the channel with stryper and I will be there for every one of them! Michael is almost 60 and still killing the vocals!
Me too
I grew up listening to these guys. They're still going strong, wow.
Best in the business hands down!
40 years in and they are still putting out this quality. Love them.
Absolutely explosive opening track!
New music and vocals like this after 40 years might just make you consider miracles. ;)
They rock for Jesus! That's all that matters to me! Please react to Divider and Do Unto Others! I started listening to Stryper back in 1985 with the Yellow And Black Attack and haven't stopped! Great New Album Love the Reaction
Totally enjoyed your reaction and that it was both of your first time. Keeps it real!

For anyone wondering about the eye patch... Michael Sweet had eye surgery and had to wear it for a time.
Michael sang with Boston for awhile after Brad Delps death. Awesome singer.
Listen to Do Unto Others from their last album Even The Devil Believes! Great message and great video
I am loving your t-shirt Rich! And the other Luney Tunes one the other day. Top class.
So glad you both are back in the saddle! Stryper definitely underrated! When you are ready to check out a melodic metal young band carrying the torch as the dinosaurs die off, check out Liliac. The song Sail Away is killer ballad and not afraid will punch you in the face!
This Song was Ringing in my head for 3 days after 1st heard it 2 weeks ago
BTW: THE ALBUM KICKS MAJOR A$$!!!!!!

This is sick it's like ok wanna c what we got left in the tank plenty lol.
Rich, your hair is different and you look younger brother. What's your secret?
They rock. What a song, I'd never heard it, but man his vocals and the guitars and drums and bass.. Wow, it was sooooo good! Thanks guys!
in 2007 Michael sweet left stryper to be the lead singer in Boston after Brad Delp passed away. He was there till 2011 then went back to stryper.
Great React !
Greatest band ever
Rich I would listen to the new album. It is a kick in the face 80's mixed with new metal like this but I only heard 5 songs on this album but I will be listen the rest of this album this weekend. My favorite right now is ashes to ashes.
Another great video guys. I just stumbled on your channel tonight. In fact, I wrote another comment on soldiers under command. I'll have to check you guys out more often.
In the meantime, you should check out a band called Alter Bridge. They are amazing and by far and away my favorite band.
Great album. Heavenly rock. Michael sweet vocals reminds me of Geoff Tate. Love those E5 notes🙏🙏
Great to see you both again 👏
this is there 7th studio album since 2005 ..9 counting a rerecord and a cover album
It is so good to see that Kel is doing better, and it is awesome that you both are back doing reaction videos. Stryper is an awesome band!!! Check out the song "Yahweh". To Helllllllllllllllllll with the Devil!!!!
Off of Stryper’s best album ever. Don’t know how Michael continues to do it.
If not for Stryper my faith would not be strong like it is today and will always be.
Stryper is putting out amazing music over the past 10 years. Check out their last 5-6 albums. They are all bangers.
I could name hundreds of others...but Stryper are kings of the game, and not just in Christian metal.
Stryper is my favorite band ever and you guys are hilarious I like your Channel
"Till Death Do Us Part" is by far their most beautiful ballad-ish song to date, same with "Near" both from their newest album (this one).
Yeah they have been putting out albums in their new run since 2005 album Reborn. They put out a new album every 2 yrs. Michael sweet himself has been putting out solo albums every few years since 1994
You guys gotta review "Do Unto Others" off their last album "Even the devil believes". Killer tune you gotta hear
Daaaaang!!!
"some really good elements in that little song" My friend...understatement doesn't begin to cover that sentence lol 😂
another great review. try one of the mid tempo tunes too.... The Valley, Sorry, Hear no evil see no Evil, Do Unto Others.... would be cool.
Stryper has 13 albums out and are working on their 14th.
God still allows his angels to roam this Earthly realm. If you have any doubts, the voice of Michael Sweet is as powerfully angelic as they come.
Good review on Stryper's new album. Sorry that you dont see the true message that the band has always very simply shown thru all their songs. Its not about the "Universe" or other comfortable words for a "Deity" of choice for ones own satisfaction. Their message is biblical and Christ.
STRYPER is awesome and i love them! My 2nd favorite band next to KISS!!
Stay Cool 😎 and…
\m/ Stay Metal \m/
Speechless much! Lol
I like the eye patch on Michael even though it's needed unfortunately and killer song
Hey man!!!! Great to see you in the comments. I’ll put this on the list. Love you x zillion 🫵❤️
KnR 🧨💥
Michael sang that song on their album The Covering.
@@thecrowpit24 I knew that and totally forgot. Thanks!
I like it!
You guys be safe and well ♥️🤘♥️
