- Time to start sharing our Nursery Makeover! This is only part 1, but it includes all the work that went into prepping this room for paint & cute decor. All of the re-wiring, hanging up drywall, & yes, disposing of the dead mice we found in the walls was SUCH a process, but super satisfying to watch in a 15 minute video!

Girl! I opened a wall one time, and had a family of garter snakes come crawling out! I am a retired police officer, so I’m not scared of much. But…snakes are a phobia of mine. Got a hotel room, and called in the professionals.

As someone who did renovations and lived in the home with little ones it is not an easy task. It does take much longer because you can't both be working on it. This was many years ago for me. One small thing to think about, I know the room is small and adding a closet would make it even smaller, but if it doesn't have a closet I don't know if you can count it as a bedroom if you do sell it. I am not a realtor, but I am pretty sure bedrooms have to have closets to count as a bedroom. You are really transforming this home one room at a time!
Im glad we’re not the only crazy ones to try renovating with little ones running around 😂 and I appreciate the concern but in our county this still counts a bedroom. As long as it’s a big enough size, has a big enough window, and doesn’t indicate that it has any other purpose (i.e. there’s an oven in it) then it’s a bedroom 👍🏼

I’m glad Christian found the drywall sander! Most paint rollers will screw onto a pole so you can go the whole ceiling and walls in 30 minutes or less with that!

Our house was built in the 60s and had all aluminum wiring. We ripped it all out and put in much safer copper wiring.
