All loggers use the Norsonic Nor1216 microphone and a Nor140 noise meter. Audio is logged to an SD card and telemetered via the cellular network to our server every 15 minutes. The first recording is the sound of rain falling on the microphone windscreen. The recordings of bird song are nice to listen to, especially when the bird perches near the microphone. Distant noise is also faithfully recorded. The last recording is a ships horn marking midnight on Dec 31 2018.
