i kinda get what they were trying to do with phoenix and maya but i still feel like his issues come from shitty normals (before turnabout) and shitty mobility having a puppet maya and access to all the evidence projectiles don't really help him
It’s cool someone added Thing in, but I do not get giving him a move where he rolls up into a ball and flys through the air. It seems like someone started making Beast, and then changed him to Thing while putting the moves together. Outside of maybe being a Ninja Scroll reference, and even then he did going flying through the air when he was rolling around, I don’t get it. And it seems like it’s his main move too. Seems like if he was actually in a Marvel vs Capcom game he’d be some crazy boxer kind of character because of Marvel Two-in-One Annual #7.
Right now, Thing is re-used assets the character. He came out at a time right before custom animations became a thing, so the modder took a lot of creative liberties with what he had and matched it with available voice lines. He might be overhauled in the future when the modder has time I think.

He is canonically the first iteration of Ghost Rider in the comics iirc. He rides on a flaming horse instead of a motorcycle. He was actually in the Nicholas Cage Ghost Rider movie too.
Carter Slade (Phantom Rider) was a cowboy character that had nothing to do with Ghost Rider outside of the similar name. Him carrying a Spirit of Vengeance was invented for the Nicholas Cage movie.
The first character that used the name "Ghost Rider" was a cowboy who wore a suit reminiscent of early Moon Knight designs, but with a matching white cowboy hat. Today he is called "Phantom Rider" to avoid confusion. In the 2007 movie, he shows up as a former Ghost Rider with a flaming horse
Is there a place where I can request new characters? Cuz I’d really like to see Siege from the chaos legion game that nobody knows about lol. He’s compared to Dante often cuz of the hack and slash nature of the game but his legions can be used to create unique attacks in a fighting game like umvc3 🤔
Modders don't do character requests because characters are a lot harder to make than it looks. It's better to let modders make the characters they want since most modders do them out of passion and their own free time as a hobby.
you can plink on pad usually what youre doing is pressing the right trigger (L+M+H) to dash, then pressing either L M H and pressing the right trigger again to cancel that start up animation of the button you pressed (timing varies on chrs and button the timing will remain consistent when repeating tho) the only main issue i have i dont know when my trigger button registers as a press since its more a lever than a button. i modded my ps4 pad using digital triggers from extremerate. got it off amazon, just involved unscrewing and switching so i did it to 3 pads i own. i can now peak consistently on command i just have to build the muscle memory to rely on since im so usually to double pressing forward

It'd be in people's best interest to play what they're comfortable with to win, new character don't get picked just cause they're new. I make the title of the videos based on if ANYONE plays the new character, even if it's for one match. Luckily he's in 3 matches.

It's still a tourney, so even if there wasn't a cash prize and the wins purely for vanity, I understand doing what's the most comfortable. But it's also kind of lame to me to make a big deal out of a new character dropping, only to find out that the character isn't being celebrated or experimented with barely at all in the video. Again, I understand this is for money, but if the character dropping evidently doesn't matter that much, then don't make it seem like a huge deal in the title, is all I'm saying. Maybe a tad bit more respect for the creator who put hours of work into the character would be nice, and having this be a moment to let the character's tech and viability florish a bit could be cool to see. But yeah, it's not like we can force these people to pick chatacters, especially if actual money is on the line, so it's whatever, really. Just have to where next time, if you wanna make a new character release seem like a big deal in the title, please have it be a tourney where more than one participant is using the character.
