  • In this episode I expand the village from 60 to 220 villagers. I check in a couple of times each game year to explain what to look out for when playing Foundation with my mods.

Hey, great to see you continue the series, right now it seems I can not go full HD as before, only 360p. Keep up the good work!

It's just uploaded, give it an hour or so and UA-cam will finish its processing.

My goodness, your mods bring this game to perfection. This town looks awesome. Did you do any tweaking to your realism mod? I tried it last year but at a certain point all I could do was struggling to survive. I guess I have a tendency to build too many markets, I just never manage to centralize my town and keep it neat. Anyway, great to see some new vids!

Looks fantastic. Will start again with the updates. The map generation does produce some nice spots. I find your mods produce something that isn't very tolerant of mistakes, which is fine, but there are not too many paths through. For example, this game you make and sell pottery, but are there other ways through to make money and get to the next phase? Also, clay and roofing material can be placed anywhere...and it would be nice if it actually required something on the map to allow it, thus making the map generation more interesting. I don't know whether this is possible. For example, reeds can only be placed with one part of them in water, maybe clay needs flat terrain near water, or something, not sure. The maps still generate 100% fertile terrain everywhere except cliffs, which isn't as interesting as it might be were there a more interesting fertility map.

The devs plan on making the maps more interesting, hopefully this will allow more realistic fertility. I have a couple of maps that have fertility inhibitors for more realism (e.g. Cappoquin, Tiberias, or the desert maps).
For making money early on, you can sell berries, herbs, vegetables, pottery, these are the main ones. But that's no different than vanilla (where it's usually polished stone, herbs or planks). The fact is in the earliest stage of the game your industries will be basic and you won't have much money, no matter what mods you have or don't have.
The biggest mistake people make when playing with my mods is to keep immigration turned on all the time. You have to turn it off and only accept new immigrants when all your houses are built and you have excess food and materials.

@@BatyushkiDev Playing out a game following your lead. Currently at 80 serfs and struggling through the preparations to allow commoners to exist without being cheesed off. There are quite a few tricky transitions, and this is one of them. Also started a game where the builders built houses before my Logging camp, exhausting my wood....oops!

@@marshalldavout7541 Once you're past the first Commoner it becomes easier in my opinion. Sometimes it's OK to promote the first Commoner before you can meet all their needs, in particular Entertainment. You might lose them later but at least you can generate some authority first.

I absolutely love your terrain mod! But I cant figure out how to get the dirt path texture and the wooden fences along the perimeter of the modular blocks..

    Love the mod pack.
Quick question: how did you get the fences around your market terrace to look so perfect?

    • @BatyushkiDev
      @BatyushkiDev  2 роки тому

Not sure what you mean, you just place them from the Walls menu. If you need pointers on what commands to use, the game pops up some commands when you have a fence in hand.

How come your wheat field is so much bigger than mine? My grain field may be half of it, even though I've indicated a much larger area.

It's based on the efficiency of the workers. They need to live nearby, have markets and church nearby, and ideally be Serfs.

Someone said in this modpack you can have only ONE lumber production building, is that true? I would love to play this mods, but without the opportunity of getting much of wood it seams very exhausting...

I've never seen that comment, of course it's not true. That wouldn't make any sense.

You have to unlock them from the Common Path, then they appear in the Mods build menu.
