Thank you for the great overview of the differences from the early access version, since I haven't played since then. It's been a while since I have played and I can say that the fortifications look to be the biggest difference. I also like the new visuals, to include the new castle.

I look forward to using your excellent mods in this new game. Most of all I'd like to see seasonal change with time, from flowery spring to snowy winter with occasional weather effects. It'd be truly awesome with this art style. Something like in Manor Lords.
That would be amazing, but I don't expect it given that the devs have not prioritised snow graphics in the past. I think I'll likely be able to cycle between the new four light settings and add some snow as particles, similar to the old Seasons and Weather mod. But we'll see once modding is re-activated in the new release!
@@BatyushkiDev The two core components this game lacks at present are: 1. the feeling of time passing through cycles, per 1/2month day/night abstraction, per year through seasons 3 mnths each (this would make it so amazing, visually stunning and can be user-configurable) + pops aging and passing on. 2. adversity, let there be some mild danger as it was intended to be a laid-back builder but occasional animal attack, adverse weather, lake/river flood, fire, rats etc. (user-configurable) would add so much to realism. As it is now, it is a good game, but feels like a city building photoshop than a simulation. Add those two + pops stories and quests (as they level up) so you develop some attachment to your inhabitants (levelling up after all) and it could be the game of the decade. Here's a challenge for you! 😀
I was playing this game when it became available on steam. It was quiet unique. Especially with the organic development of the city and customizable buildings. But surely graphical and game mechanics weren't top notch. I am surprised how well the release version turned out. So many changes how to progress with a lot of new content and improvement. The same for the graphic. Yes, it is cartoon ish but the amount of details make cities feel authentic and alive.
Is anyone else having problems with commoners moving into houses? I've had other commoners move into houses, so I get how it works. Also pathing warnings and housing warnings even though there are empty spaces. The pathing error was they built a house where the door wasn't big enough to leave...

Yes, hit ESC, Settings, Video, at the bottom there is a toggle for tree movement. You often have to re-set this every game (it will show off, but trees still move until you turn it on and then off again).
Right now, mods aren't enabled for the new Foundation 1.0 release. I'm waiting for the devs to give instructions before we can start work on incorporating the existing ones into the new game. And I'll need to do a lot of graphics work so that the visuals match the new aesthetics.

I had quite a few crashes too, but the devs are patching things all the time to make the release version more stable. There was another unannounced patch yesterday.
@@BatyushkiDev That's what 6 years of EA is for. There is always room for bugs and improvements, but a game that won't stay running an hour without a crash and reset to autosave is a problem. I'm simply saying it's an unfortunate series of events for a 1.0 game.

The dev team have put a lot of thought and work into the final product. It was a long time to finish but worth waiting for I think.
