Chur wattie don't know if you remember me but I'm a little white boy you helped find a passion for life when I met you in kaitoke I'm glad your out brother stay strong stay positive much love brother
@sjonifknrei I was in West2 after I got kicked out of Southwood for Assault charges, East Wing before it was taken over by segs, back when we signed a partition to get the pull up bars in the yards, after they done it up from those old raggedy beds they had, when they had the big open yard next to the gym, could yell out to West1 and 2 and sometimes remand,
Very humbling and moving. Just when you think your life was not good and you feel damaged, you watch this and realise how lucky you have been. Many blessings to Wattie and his journey of self healing and reconnecting with his family.
“I got sentenced to 10 years for acting like a 12 year old boy” that’s what you’re trying to tell us?? 😂 Get a job real men fly their own flags not join gangs for protection 😂
"Im guna waste the person that gives you a patch" ♥️ my dad said something along those lines to me 18 years ago .Didn't understand him then, glad I listened and now I know what he means..
All the best Wattie for your future. You are too good for prison life! You deserve to be free from your demons and spend the rest of your time being your best self, because your too good for anything less. Thank you for sharing your story.
I like to say thank you for sharing your story. It was very emotional for me . There's always a reason behind everything for everyone's reactions in life. And you have to live with the pain but in time you will heal. You are with the right people to guide in the right direction ❤thank you wattie may you be blessed with a second chance in life to make a better journey in your life with your family and support. So happy for you . ❤❤
Wattie, kia kaha, be there for your family, they need you so much and you need them. Don’t let this awful system continue to make you angry and regress. You are a wonderful artist. Please stay out and be great.
One of my good friends, ended up in jail in his teens. We 40 now and he’s been in and out of jail for the last 20+ years. I caught up with him over 10 years ago, I could see he didn’t like the freedom he had and knew he was gunna end up back inside and he did and still there today. Gets out and the longest he’s lasted is 2 months. We can’t help him until he’s ready.
Wattie, I hope your journey of healing and self discovery is fruitful and may it inspire Hooponopono in you and in others, also shout out to Mike for his compassion and great work.
All the very Best Wattie for your future. Megan is my sister and her and Mike are amazing people with huge capacity to Love and support you. Keep doing one small healing step at a time and it will add up. God bless you ♥️
Kia kaha Wattie. I am a whanaunga from Morrinsville. Seeing you at Nana Maggie's grave and looking at some of the old photos, I saw whānau that I knew. Nana Cowboy, Uncle Smokey. I haven't seen Aunty Loretta in a while. It was good to see your sister Vera. It's been years. Keep strong, cousin. You've got Mike there to support you, but most importantly, your whānau. Take care and God Bless ❤
I met Wattie when I was a kid. He was our neighbour in Whanganui back in 2006/2007. He was a nice guy. Never did any wrong to us. Glad to see you trying to turn your life around 👌
Was heart breaking seeing them communicate. Was basically 2 strangers. Hope that kid hears his fathers words for what they are and not as a ego battle.
Congrats on your first 100 days Wattie. Proud of you. You're brave for sharing your story and the awful things you went through as a young one - you were failed by multiple adults and I'm so glad you have a second chance at life.
Some people need to realise that their own perspective isn’t the only perspective, to those that are looking down at him and his journey obviously you were raised with a silver spoon, and yeah he ain’t perfect but who isn’t, at least he learned from his mistakes and atoned for his ways and understands himself and dug deep to find the root of what made him who he is today. Big ups to the man for being real, mad respect. One Love 🖤☝🏾

So, what he basically said was, all gang members join up because they need a sense of belonging, as they are in pain, not resolving and letting go of childhood pain. I wish him all the best and also for all gang members to step back and claim their true destiny...be productive and caring citizens. Be the person you dreamt of becoming when a little child....be the change for our future.
I see his pain. Wattie just needed to be told as a young boy he was loved, he was enough and he was believed. I feel his nature - even as an enforcer - was inherently gentle. Big loves to you Wattie. God doesn't put us through the events in life we can't handle.
Stay strong Wattie, dont go back to the life man, your family needs you, and your kids need the role model that you never had brother, time for you to make good memories to get rid of the bad ones my friend. From Britain, stay safe and keep smiling 🫶

Kia ora Wattie. Thanking you for sharing your journey. To begin at such a young age & within a blink of an eye 40 years has past, to the now, to your Present. @user-jh2sr8bl8v Wattie explained he was sexually abused as a boy. He's trying to be a better human even after 40 years of prison. It would of broken most men he's still here picking up the pieces doing positive things for himself his whanau and community ❤
@jaspermartini4830 he's done nothing positive though lol. All he's done is come out of jail, and go back again. Then before we know it he'll be collecting the pension, which he had absolutely no hand in contributing to. An easy life. (Also, is there any proof of his stories of abuse?)

It took me, an English migrant, many years to learn not to judge Māori by the way they looked, but by the way they acted. And I invariably found a good person hidden behind the rough exterior.
@yehbuddy1005 by the way we look? Please elaborate because not all maori are gang affiliated and not all maori look rough and scary. If it wasn't for the English peolle that colonised us we wouldn't of ended up on alcohol and drugs.

I almost fell in with Bikies here in Australia from hang around to social club going on prospecting under a life member. I have always been around people who could get me in trouble and my anger issues only took me to the next level. I hated it. Now I slam work and paying off a mortgage here in Sydney and found a girl I want to start a family with. I have reconnected with my loved ones and still got some ways to go thanks to abusing the bottle but I am almost there..... It sounds real corny but its true.... If I can do it so can you. No excuses... Work hard and stay out of trouble.

It took me, an English migrant, many years to learn not to judge Māori by the way they looked, but by the way they acted. And I invariably found a good person hidden behind the rough exterior.
And by reading that comment I can tell you that you still have a very long way to go if at all there is hope.
@yehbuddy1005 by the way we look? Please elaborate because not all maori are gang affiliated and not all maori look rough and scary. If it wasn't for the English peolle that colonised us we wouldn't of ended up on alcohol and drugs.

Thank you for your story Wattie...I too have a past that I must bring peace, open the door to my immediate family "you only you n your truth have shown me to speak the truth, strength n lu'v n light always Rusty one I hope we will meet and stand side bye side as brother's ...
What a powerful story to tell and share. Thanks for doing this ❤ looking forward to seeing the rest of the series
