Hannibal had approx 50k and the Roman force was approx 86,000. Quite a difference but A: It's not twice let alone 10 times big and B: The Roman Army (Roman and Allieds) were mostly barely trained. I have to agree. Like don't get me wrong, this looks like a well made game for it's genera, but it's still a fairly niche genera, (and I think this is the first I've heard about this game though that could just be me), so it's odd it's so wishlisted.

Honestly, the import/export thing is pretty much just how manufacturing economies work, and yeah, it really is that wild when everyone else is a subsistence economy. Being able to duplicate towers and raise hundreds of knights in moments, less so 😂 This game looks pretty interesting, and is seriously impressive as a solo project! I look forward to seeing more of it.
Turns out the enemy just couldn't handle the intimidation tactic known only as "The Inchworm". Or the dancing the troops did on their way to the enemy.
to be fair... his army was basically heavily armored and highly trained platemail soldiers against bandits with makeshift weapons and no training... so of course it would be unlikely for them to die while also heavily outnumbering the enemy. and if your talking about the spearmen in the beginning spearmen have an advantage against infantry even moreso if they dont move and let the enemy charge into them... its like an 80% boost to their power if the enemy charges into them which is why spears were some of the most common weapons used thruout history.
Pretty sure what happened with the battlefield was the enemy waited until they had fully regrouped, saw you outnumbered them 10:1 and just said "nope, fuck it", dropped their weapons, and walked away lol

I just wish this game had a world map with like kingdom and different provinces with a king who can be overthrown kind of like Crusader Kings where you can play as minor lord of the big kingdom and fight against other lords, proving yourself to the king and sometimes fight major wars, hope devs will implement some of those things, because game is pretty barebones if you actually get into it.
The game has SO much potential, but it does indeed look like it was made by 1 dude, hopefully all the bugs and balance problems will be fixed before the release!
it would be fun to have the ability to possess a troop of your choice if you wanted to join the fight. Either that or have your first person character maybe have the ability to fight or even cast spells.
