Kleaper thinks he got a free key; but in reality, the dev is getting free bug testing.
And free advertysing
@@KillerKorn44 don't think the game really needed that
Yeah, all the UA-camrs aren't too smart. They push buttons for a living, like monkeys in a lab.
Clearly it did if the devs hand out free keys to streamers. You also must be a UA-camr.
That's the point
"Thank you dev for giving me an early opportunity to break your shit" - kleaper
he really is an american spiffing brit, the best playtester a dev could ask for
@@asherwoodrow7471Lets game it out is also good at that
Fun fact kleaper, every time you recruit a new retinue you see the new soldier so yes you can upgrade all of their armor if you go nice and slow
I wonder if you can just use an Autohotkey script to do that at like 30/60 soldiers a second.
Yes but you won't break the game fast if you go nice and slow
@@Camoceltic maybe if you know how to program
@@1mailpigeon1 dude I want all of my soldiers to have the medieval drip not even a single one shall be excluded
@@grayfox9869 If you're drippy enough, the enemy might just surrender on sight
I love how you said someone was “in the wrong place at the wrong time” as if that isn’t the case with literally every other faction in every game you play
Kleaper: You can't really surround an army that's 10 times larger than you.
*Hannibal Barka has entered the chat...*
lol that's the first thing I thought about hahahaha
Hannibal had approx 50k and the Roman force was approx 86,000. Quite a difference but A: It's not twice let alone 10 times big and B: The Roman Army (Roman and Allieds) were mostly barely trained.
By the end of Cannae the Romans had lost ~20% of the +17 Male Italian population in the three battles (Trebia and Lake Trasimene being the other two). Unsurprising that some allies jumped ship about then.
@@patrickkelly6691mfs after hearing about a hyperbole
This enraged the commenters who punished OP severely
Kleeper your notification popped up right when I took a screenshot, I blame you.
sounds like skill issue
@@aichisendou6375
I blame you too.
@@Eggzrgoood i feel left out, blame me as well.
@@asherwoodrow7471
Sure thing, your the reason why kleeper had to post.
@@Eggzrgoood oo! oo! Can I also be blamed?
"You can't really surround an army that's ten times your size."
watch out, history says otherwise my good man
Carthage calls Kleaper
You did not actually need to surround or outgun a man. You merely need to convince him he is surrounded or outgunned.
History says more things that contradict his words
I don’t doubt that this will be a great game, but I did a double take when I saw that this was higher than Hades II for most wishlisted
IMO Hades 2 won’t live up to the hype of 1 but maybe I’m just cynical
@@DelmworksHades is easily top 5 favorite games for me and (in my opinion) redefined the roguelite genre. I’m both skeptical and excited to see what happens in the sequel.
I have to agree. Like don't get me wrong, this looks like a well made game for it's genera, but it's still a fairly niche genera, (and I think this is the first I've heard about this game though that could just be me), so it's odd it's so wishlisted.
@@Gamer3427I would say it is picking up slack in 3 notable sectors which have all been failing for a little while, medieval, town builders, and total war. That gives them quite a lot of customer appeal.
@@Gamer3427 yes. I remember there being an at least sizeable following of hades, much more than the genre of town builder/total war
Random starving bandits when the local rich guy summons his pulsating mass of 1276 Psionic Warriors from within the depths of the Tower Labyrinth:
I wonder how loud he can amplify saying, "Away with you, vile beggar."
For context: most armies routed when they saw ~300 knights (Latin Empire wars), Kleaper had over 3 times that many.
I just want to point out 1 small interesting historical fact here: The size of the retenue outnumbers the amount of Men-at-Arms present in the English army at the battle of Agincourt.
Bro was there no cap
How did the French lift the Siege of Orléans?
> “Joan of Arc led them to victory!”
> “Their strategic maneuvers helped them win a decisive campaign!”
Kleaper: “ *g a r r i s o n t o w e r* “
Ah yes, the honour system of construction caps.
Kleaper "You would think heavy plowing is a useful skill, but not really."
Me "Kleaper, this is a family channel."
29:50 watching your legion marching through the forest in that scene, strongly reminds me of the Medieval 2 Total War main menu background, and now i am listening to that games OST again.
Seems this is all just as the developer intended. Kleaper is just playing the game correctly, nothing broken here.
Love how you break games, you and the spiffing brit should team up lol
Or let's game it out, although I don't like their newer videos as much as their older ones. Kleaper has a talent for this.
Imagine if multiplayer was a thing in this game and you had to play against the Kleaper and this army.
Im sending him malware if I see 2k knights
28:40 "Build me an army worthy of Mordor" - Kleaper, maybe probably.
But imagine.
Kleeper finished his run. The town is grinded to kingdom come. Deforestation and destruction rule supreme. And the town people start to rebuild
And then, *he* shows up.
“HEY THERE ITS JOSH WELCOME BACK TO LETS GAME IT OUT”
Those bandits touching your clay was like someone touching the US’s oil.
some peasant: what's for dinner
other peasant: bread
some peasant: again
I love how these videos can show a medieval kingdom of peasants turn into a literal human beehive. Classic Kleaper.
Honestly, the import/export thing is pretty much just how manufacturing economies work, and yeah, it really is that wild when everyone else is a subsistence economy.
Being able to duplicate towers and raise hundreds of knights in moments, less so 😂
This game looks pretty interesting, and is seriously impressive as a solo project! I look forward to seeing more of it.
Another Kleaper video! Awesome, I love all of them.
I have to say, i like the step-up in editing here, feels a lot smoother to watch
This game is gonna be massive happy Mr Kleaper got a Peeper of the early acess
"Where some countries have armies, the Prussian army has a country. And then there's kleaper, he's just an army." -Voltaire probably
For the best insight on manorial warfare and society I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt's videos series
27:13 "You can't surround an army that's 10 times your size" Hannibal would like to disagree
I like these videos🙂
Also love the Metal Gear Rising reference
Am I the only one noticing that even though his army was better than the bandits, he didn't lose a single troop even after 2 back to back engagements?
to be fair... his army was basically heavily armored and highly trained platemail soldiers against bandits with makeshift weapons and no training... so of course it would be unlikely for them to die while also heavily outnumbering the enemy.
and if your talking about the spearmen in the beginning spearmen have an advantage against infantry even moreso if they dont move and let the enemy charge into them... its like an 80% boost to their power if the enemy charges into them which is why spears were some of the most common weapons used thruout history.
The Dev of this game has some real talent. I hope he goes far in this industry but doesn’t become too greedy like some of these triple A companies
A retinue of 1776? Freedom intensifies.
Hell yea brother
🦅 🇺🇸 🦅
7:21 That hit me like a brick wall Kek
Doesnt work anymore xD i just had to try on an Testgame😂
Breaking the game like this shows the devs what needs to be fixed. It’s very helpful i would imagine
This visit mode is absolutely fantastic, I wish to see this implemented in more city building games.
Turns out the enemy just couldn't handle the intimidation tactic known only as "The Inchworm". Or the dancing the troops did on their way to the enemy.
At this point kleaper is just speedrunning how to break games the fastest way possible.. I love it
Europe: Gib Clay.
Kleaper: Say no more.
“You really can’t surround an army ten times your size”
Hannibal:
Carthage calls Kleaper
"You can't really surround army that's ten times your size"
Hannibal: Am I a joke to you?
Can’t believe someone beat the spiffing brit in finding a game breaking bug
would love more of this game, also normal gameplay
You know it’s a good day when it’s a day Kleaper uploads
BABE NEW KLEAPER VID JUST DROPPED 🗣🗣
"you cant surround and army 10 times the size" hannibal: hold my wine
Brother, you just invented industrialized trade early.
Kleaper: posts a video
me: Happiness noises
Any day Kleaper uploads is a great day
it'll take extra time clicking back and forth but you can upgrade each unit when you buy it even with it's "circle" being off the screen.
Buy Retinue
Upgrade Dude
But Retinue
Upgrade Dude
Rinse Repeat
Acewrap Wrist.
Let's go!!!!!
Oh hell yeah. I've seen the normal playthroughs, lets get to the Kleeper nonsense
The ai send at him pub crawlers.
He sended THE ENTIRE HOLY ARMY
The Dr. Zoidberg impression earned the like.
If you would like a 1770 army of kitted knights, you can hire then, click the import button, and even if theyre off screen, you're still selcted on the most recent hired man at arms. At least, i think.
Ooooh thank you! u just change my game 180 degres XD
nice work
27:11 "you cant really surround a army ten times your size" Hannibal has enterd the chat
it would be fun to have the ability to possess a troop of your choice if you wanted to join the fight. Either that or have your first person character maybe have the ability to fight or even cast spells.
pretty keen to try this on game pass if its good i will defs be buying it
I'm going to love this game.
17:12 *That's so definitely me!*
Boy i hope your finger is okay from clicking to add those retinues
Well, i'm sure the dev appreciates you finding this bug
happy to see he's using his accounting degree for what really matters
It~it just works.
Dev's taking notes rn
the heavy plow actually makes plowing fields slower in my experience
I love the idea of a game like this where you can eventually work to be OP, if the dev adds a way to get silly amount of knight's but more balanced (like they costs a fuckton) thatd be sick
I must ask, Kleaper, I know this isn’t a warhammer video, but I need to know. How much of the lore of Warhammer have you gone into? You seem to (somewhat) know your stuff. I’m trying to get into the lore, and yeah, you’re right, Helman Ghorst is just some guy.
If your retinue could be equipped with bows, it could be an awesome sight.
Yes
27:10 Hannibal Barca would like to have a word
I'm curious whether this will be fixed next week when the Early Access version goes live.
I love how due to a single bug in the code kleaper found a way to be unstoppable
ah yes, kleeper
I hope this isn't patched out by the time it releases. Big armies are always better than small armies.
"What do you mean he wants several ton of clay?"
They need to keep it in, i want it
You could so add multiplayer in this game.
When he said you cant really surround a army 10 times your size i think of hannibal
Lag spikse reminds me when i play 4 stacks of units in Total War Attila
Pretty sure what happened with the battlefield was the enemy waited until they had fully regrouped, saw you outnumbered them 10:1 and just said "nope, fuck it", dropped their weapons, and walked away lol
This man manages to mobilize an army of poor people and destroy everything almost every episode
The game has SO much potential, but it does indeed look like it was made by 1 dude, hopefully all the bugs and balance problems will be fixed before the release!
Manor Lords needs a "Market Saturation" mechanic. ='[.]'=
Spiff would be proud
it took you about 9 years. that's actually not crazy ! :o
28:25 So this is the total war killer people been talking about.
Nano did this to but stoped at almost 200 troops in 1 army
Yes, sir
When a medieval gane become a neoliberalism free market simulator
i honestly hope INF units becomes a literal function in the game 💀
Hey, I found Lloyd Frontera from: the greatest estate developer
Merchant guild tech tree?
Hey hey people
This game reminds me a lot of Foundation, but with more warfare
Damn, the free market is brutal
