I was staying in Myeongdong a month ago (for 3 weeks) We stayed at the Crown Park Hotel near Lotte Young Plaza & across from the department store. Was out & about every day but always came back here every nite to eat the wonderful food! It was nice days & cold nights Wish we had stayed longer for the snow! Was an absolutely incredible experience & we had an amazing time with the family! We even went outside of Seoul to look around (Daegu & Busan) When we left,they were putting up the Xmas tree & lights & Lotte Young Plaza had animation playing at night on the massive building. We've been to Shanghai - Singapore & Phillipines,but Seoul in South Korea was a blessing & my favourite no doubt! We miss it there still... Thankyou for the upload Alofas from New Zealand🙏♥️🇼🇸🇰🇷🇳🇿

What a beautiful and picturesque scene! I'm surprised by how prevelant Christmas is there... And the fact everyone uses umbrellas when it snows. I know it can get just as cold there as the Midwest and east coast us despite the latitude.
@@pit-a-pat same in New York, but I think your winters are colder yet a bit less snowy (we get infrequent but very large snowstorms). Usually one of 30-40 cm per year, sometimes none, sometimes much more. But a lot of lighter snowfalls. 2016 had the biggest on record , 76 cm in less than one day.

Hey Seoul looks like a nice place to live, but I soyld have a hard time reading the street and store signs, not much is in English, so I would need someone to show me around town, also to help me wed with the food, I dont know much about the food there, but I like the culture, it seems like fun!😊
I think it will be difficult for foreigners to use the unique alphabet called Hangul. Still, many people are kind, so you can always ask for help from people around you.
Myeong Dong shopping district compared to Itaewon and the Korean government closed the area because they were scared of another Itaewon tragedy happening… terrible
