i only noticed he was there when i viewed the footage back on a big screen, he crossed 2km of lava lakes, nobody would have known he was in trouble and nobody would have risked their lives over lava to help him either
I’m building a cardboard submarine called LavaGate, because I think these flows require some deep exploration for us to get a full understanding of…..”Damn, thats hot” Honestly though, the thing that flips me out the most, is HOW LIQUID it is. Its not like some of the thick, slow moving Hawaiian flows….its just liquid rock and glass, as thin and viscous as wet concrete, that flows like water. 😳
That moment the frontal face breaks away and the molten liquid becomes a waterfall which rushes toward the onlookers position , which turns just in time to miss...but the spatter and debris go over the ridgeline and the onlooker is caught in lava hail.
exactly….. that dam at the front wall was already letting lava through it, its just a matter of time until it gets pushed away and it turns into a lava Tsunami
They do right by saying they are on their own, if something goes wrong. Nobody should have to risk their lives to save someone being irresponsible (or just plain stupid).
Thanks for the scale death wish man . Beautiful footage of volcano + sound 🤩 …. The Closest I have ever felt to being near a volcano 🧡 . love how DWM taking photos of you 😂
@@Asae2yes it is dubbed , multiple lava sounds mixed together in cubase then exported as and mp3, it just gives it a more natural vibe than music does👍 one of the sound layers is actually just a boiling kettle as i made a cup of coffee and i liked the low bubbling rumble tone so i recorded it😂
@@briohnyr so do i 😂 its amazing how many household sounds can create a lava sound, its easy to create your own custom lava sounds, i recorded over a dozen sounds then EQ’d them all to mostly bass and mixed them all randomly until i like the randomness sound of it
yeah thats my fav part, i was blown away by how cool it was while filming it, imagine Death Wish Man standing on it and then it splits back into floating pieces all around him🤦♂️ it could have happened on any one of those crusted lava lakes he walked over to get to the volcano 😳
"but I saw it in Elden Ring." needs to be a new award. Same spirit as the old Darwin awards, but it is time for separating the flavors out a bit with some subcategories.
Insane that he did not pass out from the gas. Or fall into the top glassy surface of the lava on the way and either get burned exceedingly badly or suffer lacerations all over his body.
there is an online video taken by another drone user of him dropping through a glassy lava skin, he starts to hop and limp afterwards, how this man managed to successfully walk 2km over crusted skinned lava is baffling, when he popped through that crust it could so easily have been molten beneath and game over 🤷♂️
Mir war tatsächlich nicht bewusst das dort immer noch Lava ausströhmt. In DE gibt es leider keinerlei Meldungen dazu. Außerdem sind diese Geräusche echt extrem. Tolle Aufnahmen! 👍
yes they did and after that the officials closed down the sight because folk could not be trusted to not do dumb things, so it ruined it for everybody just like this idiot almost did. I got those dudes too on camera after they had climbed it as i flew over the Littli Hrutur Volcano crater with Circle Air planes , the pilot announced on the way home that the site had just been officially closed while we were in the air because of the stupidity of a few idiots climbing the cone😳
Great filming! Enjoyed the flowing lava shown from above. Thanks for sharing this. Concerning the death wish tourist: I've seen worse. In this video that tourist was at least not not directly beneath the flowing lava. But check out this one: ua-cam.com/video/ynl7FHPJiFc/v-deo.html
Unfortunately, everywhere you look, anywhere on Earth, you will find stupidity. What I find fascinating are the gas bubbles emerging from the still-yellow/orange hot lava.
it was amazing to watch on my drone screen i was mesmerised so much i actually forgot to fly the drone around i just stood in awe staring at my remote control screen, hence why i never noticed the man, the screen was so small that i only spotted him when i played my footage back at home on a bigger screen, had i known he was there i would definitely have zoomed in on him closer to see who he was
I appreciate that the needless risk taker gave this phenomenon some scale.
a human volcano measuring stick lol😂
Well, I suppose it's good to know we can still be surprised at the utter stupidity of some people.
And the Darwin award winner of the year is !!
DWM the winner🎉😂
Special sub-category achiever of the Darwin Award. He earned it!

Beautiful footage & phantastic quality, thx for sharing! The stupid boy was the least interesting part.
yes there is some awesome footage in there otherwise👍

Very cool catch of the lava pond foundering and breaking out.

the ‘noises’ are just dubbed for some background noise they are not real, drones dont record sound 😉
That edge could have collapsed at any second. So stupid!
Sombody also did this at Litli-Hrútur, if I remember well.

Yeah, I remember that guy nearly became one with the volcano. If he had tripped, it would have been all over for him.
Many have died climbing something.
not many were daft enough to walk over obviously fresh molten lava lakes though😵💫
It's a risk ok, so is climbing mount Everest but don't seek help when the shih tits the fan
He volunteered and asked nature to thin the herd but I guess he got scared when he realized he was top of the list
