There WAS a gay character! A VERY minor side character, but he was Patience and Lois from Family Guy's other work bestie. It was one of the first times I saw a femme gay character in a movie where nobody mentioned it or wrinkled their nose or anything, he just existed

Lighter note, had this and 3 other movies on DVD when i first moved out of home, im just a girl 💅 so never got the cord thingy so i could watch normal tv. So catwoman would play on repeat when i was stoned. 😂

StutterBox, me & Susan Sontag here totally agree with your read on the film + esp the performance. Pauline Kael is over there, muttering disagreements & chain smoking, but she's famously hit + miss, so ignore Kael's minority report. Susan Sontag is teasing Kael by chanting "Camp Catwoman" over + over again. I should bed them up before this becomes...a catfight*!
Also canonically, hasn't Catwoman been romantically partnered with Poison Ivy in the comics? Catwoman qualifies as a community icon?

Plus please please consider covering the original 80s Lost Boys before they remake it & it retroactively corrupts the past like stepping on an insect from the Eocene when you stumble out of the Time Machine.
