Thanks a lot sir, I was attempting to repair an Anchor extension board with a spike protector where the varistor was blown off. Couldn't find the name of this component and specifications as it totally burned off. I thought it was the old ceramic capacitors I used in hobby circuits in school. You explained this new thing so well.
Will hunt for a 275/20 varister to replace. then. Beautiful informative video.

I have gone through veristor video but I have one query during in monsoon it happened to my home it totally damaged my asus 86ac routers and TV so I wanted to know after connecting veristor to power supply and during surge it will blow or it remains in good condition

For normal spikes of voltage as explained in video, it will not blow.
I have also said in the video that it is not for continuous over voltage, it is for a short time spike of voltage only.

Very important topic sir. As usual you described very simple. Well understood. My question is can we use two varistors in parallel or in series? Thank you for this video.
Instead of using 2 in parallel better to use one with higher energy. No series connection.
