Gold filled absolutely does tarnish and really shouldn’t be worn in water often especially sea water. Humidity, pollution and acidity in the air can also cause it to tarnish. Make sure to be upfront and honest with your customers. Maybe sell little polishing cloths with the rest. I just popped on here to see if you gave any info about the welding system you use but hopefully my knowledge from almost twenty years of jewelry design can help you out.
@@bambamroxu you can use whatever but you need to be upfront and honest. Don’t say something won’t tarnish when it absolutely will. I made a little print out explaining the delicacies of my pieces and what is best to polish them with. A lot of my pieces have semi precious stones and pearls as well which can get ruined from liquid polishers so I provide info and a sample of the polishing cloths I use.
@@seaglassmomma4040I agree. I wear nothing but solid gold and came across a stand the does these She only sold gold filled and states solid gold would be too delicate to be worn n never taken off. I don’t ever take any of mine off. So I just thought how in the world does she fib like this.
I'm SO happy to be back. I've been dying to film videos again. This was actually filmed quite a while ago, but Adam and I were in Italy for our very delayed honeymoon this past week and I vlogged the entire trip so hopefully that'll be up very soon! I hope all is well with you!
@@SarahBrithinee congrats I'm so glad you guys got to do that. I can't wait to see that. I'm okay had surgery on my diaphragm and had complications so it's been a very difficult recovery. I have been rewatching some videos. I was supposed to be in the hospital for up to 5 days. I was in there for 10. I've been home for 2 weeks and it's been a challenge. The pain is alot worse than i ever thought. But I'm getting better a little more each day. It's just going to take alot more time than the Dr and I thought. 😊 Again, I'm so glad you're back. All I can do is watch TV or UA-cam or anything I can do while propped up on pillows in bed. It hurts to do much more than that. So now I have my favorite UA-camr (friend) back.
very good video! want to add tips that helps our studio a lot - dont do everything from scratch - we bought almost all marketing things for permanent jewelry on etsy in CortadoWitch shop (i can't leave link because of youtube) and they convert PERFECTLY
Hey! Thanks so much for sharing all your info! I'm thinking of starting a permanent jewelry business and I'm so excited! My plan is to also just do pop ups instead of having and brick and mortar shop. Question for you: What do you recommend/how do you partner with other businesses to set up a pop up? Do you reach out to them and ask? How does that work? Or do you mostly do private events/parties? What's been most successful for you so far? Appreciate any advice! Looking forward to watching more of your permanent jewelry content! :)
Hi! I'm looking to add permanent jewerly to my service list. Ive never made jewelry. Do you suggest a class? Also, where do you buy your products? Lots out there, just curious if there is a brand you love
I'm kinda new to hearing about this "trend" or amazing ness that's going on right now. I'm a licensed Esthetician and would absolutely LOVE to add this to my ever growing service menu 🤍 thanks for this video
Do you need special training with the welder ? Like a license to use it on people ? Also can younger children get this done with approval of parents ? Maybe having them Sign a waiver of under a certain age ?
hi I know you didn’t ask me but you should always have anyone sign a waiver and if under 18 have parents sign a consent form saying you can provide the service for the kids!!
Hi friend! Love this info! I’ve been interested in starting my own lil business for this in AZ ☀️ This may be a silly question, but did you start from your own savings or a business loan? I’m a single mom of 2 and spending thousands at once just isn’t possible at the moment, but I’m determined to do this! I’d love any advice you got sister! 🥰🤍
Hi! I didn't. I already knew how to make jewelry from owning Essbe for 5 years so the only part I needed to learn was the welding. I'm actually in the process of putting together a course to teach people because it's a lot to learn if you've never done anything like this before. I've only seen a couple of courses out there and from what I've seen the people teaching them have no experience in jewelry and are giving out a lot of wrong information in their free content. If you're interested in taking a course, please do your research and take it from someone you trust!

Would love a video about where you get your supplies (chains, charms, ect) as well as the need/use of an Argon Tank. Thankyou!
Can you share where you buy your chains/charms and how much should we plan to spend to start up a permanent jewelry business?

Seems like an ethnic thing to do
Yeah, you’ll need to be an LLC because when you miss the work and burn tiny holes in your customers wrist and they sue you.
They have cloth u put on there wrist so this doesn’t happen. Lol
