i haven't shaved for almost 2 months. it's been the best choice i've ever made. the only reason i ever started shaving was for other people. it was something i hated doing. i know there are lots of women who enjoy shaving & that's wonderful! i'm really just here to say that i'm tired of society making it seem like women have to be clean shaven in order to be beautiful. if you think about it.. the only ones that are hair free are children. it just doesn't make much sense to me. just challenge yourself.. no shaving your legs or armpits for a month. you will gain so much confidence & really learn to love your body. after awhile the hair is soft & you don't get ingrown hairs & things (another reason why i stopped shaving). it just feels normal for me now ❤️
That's awesome for you, love the body positivity. I was taught that women had to shave and I started shaving around 9 years old...I stopped shaving for awhile in 5th grade and I absolutely hated it. I get quite sweaty so I like being clean shaven. :)
its really embarrassing to say this but its nice to see the honesty here and I'm about to get really gross hre bcuz I haven't shaved my bikini line in as long s I can remember and to see this video kinda made me feel a teeny bit alright with it but I know for a fact that I need to jump in the shower RN

+Ivanka Why are they ridiculous? Shaving or no shaving, it's just hair. Everyone has it. Why do so many think having hair is dirty or "gross"? It's a personal choice but it shouldn't be seen as gross. It's sole purpose is to protect. 😯

Just wanted to put it out there that laser hair removal doesn't actually remove hair permanently, it should really be called laser hair reduction. The hair grows back so much finer and slower (like baby hair) but it doesn't stop growing back completely - and you still need to keep the treatment up in order for it to keep working!

It depends on the person. I have a friend who has done it bikini + underarms and she has a couple of hairs here and there but that's all. The one thing is it might grow back when you are pregnant due to hormones.
Charisxo it depends on the laser type, some do get rid of hair forever or at least 95% hair, im having it done myself and it is amazing
IPL laser is a the best thing ever. I've been lasering for four years and the last two years I've only got it done four times. It has the best results, better than any other hair removal method.

courtney patient i also have very dark tiny hairs on my body.. my back, my tummy, my upper lips but im afraid to shave it.. but in my legs and underarm i do wax it.. but its to expensive because my hair do grow fast..😕😕😕

The Body Shop has Maca Root Shave Cream, it's marketed for men, but I use it and it's amazing! Gives the smoothest shave, doesn't irritate, and that tub lasts a long time as you need just a little bit of prouct.

I use Dove sensitive skin soap. No issues and I have very sensitive skin. I also use a Dollar Shave Club razor and it's way better than Venus for me. I get a much closer shave.

I mean you can always ask, I doubt they'll say no. My boyfriend offered one to me and now I buy my own but I never would have purchased them for myself if I hadn't tried one of his.

Yes, (Well just after Christmas) Thailand Vietnam and Cambodia then Hong Kong Disney. I will be ripping out all hairs before I go to try to avoid shaving for the first week or two ;)

If you are stuck and have no shaving cream, rather than using soap, use conditioner. It's super moisturizing and works so so well. I've done this so many times and it makes life so much easier
During the winter, I'm going to grow all my hair out and see how long it can grown and then start fresh next summer

I recommend quitting shaving and epilate instead. I've been using an epilator for 15 years its amazing you will never go back to shaving. It lasts for about 3 weeks and you wont have ingrown hair like the ones on your underarms and legs. And you get used to the pain it barely hurts anymore and its totally worth it.
I'm awful when it comes to shaving, ever since I started shaving I've never had an experience where I haven't cut myself! So annoying! I'm definitely going to try out some of these things! So much love to you Becky! Xxx

+TalkBeckyTalk I use either a men's razor because they work best for me, or a Gillette Venus one. How I have any skin left after shaving is beyond me hahahahaaha X
Me too!! Try some of the tips and let me know if you like them! They have really helped me - the venus swirl is quite good as it bends, I find it tricky to use but it helps with cuts! x

I think she means like take one from a pack of razors, most people buy them in packs or buy multiple heads for reusable ones. My dad would always just buy a whole thing of them for $1 and give me a few.

I once used a mens razor and from then on I never went back to a women's one. They literally are amazing, and I find my hairs don't grow back as quickly after using them as they did with a women's one! :)

Another life hack
Stay under hot water untill you warm up then use shower gel and Thicken up the shower gel on the part of your body you want to shave i recommend using a 3 blade disposable Gillette razor (They come in a pack) I find these easier to use also i would say exfoliate yourself in warm water before you shave to loosen your hair folicules it works really well. Another way of warming up quickly and having soft hair is washing your hair first then thicken up the conditioner in your hair and tie your hair up but dont tie your hair up really tight just to hold the hair in place so you dont have it in your face and then shave your body etc.. and then at the end rinse the conditioner off your hair but dont rinse untill your hair goes dry leave a bit of conditioner in and get out of the shower also when you dry yourself dont rub your towel on yourself pat the towel on yourself trust me patting the towel is so much better and it will leave you feeling refreshed even more i also suggest maybe using a not so wet cold towel to pat yourself dry i know that sounds silly because wet towel will just make yourself still wet but a not so wet towel can still obsorb and i wouldnt moisturise my body everytime i have a shower because that will lead to pimples and blocked pores you should only moisturise when your skin feels dry and tight and brush your hair evertime you have a shower i recomment using a wooden hair brush
ThisIsHow WeParty I wouldn't recommend 3 blade razor. I bought some and they never gave me a good shave and kept nicking me. I recommend 4-5 blades, men or women razors work

Laser Hair removal, no matter what anyone says, is not permanent! although laser damages the hair folic and stops it from growing, over time our body can repair that damage and the hairs can start to regrow. Also certain types of hair are hormone based so any changes in hormone levels from stress or pregnancy will also have them coming up again. I learned this from personal experience after spending months getting treatments only to get less than 2 years hair free! the money I spent on laser was triple what waxing my whole body every 6 weeks would have been!! And that was only last year that I got it done.

Mine has coconut oil in it, so bonus! That's what I've been using. Tempted to make an olive oil and stevia scrub because that's all I have haha
