I have one of the Celtic Women CDs and all the songs on it are awesome but there is something about this one song that totally puts me in a trance. Everything about it is just incredible and I can't listen to it enough
Oh my gosh! I have this song in a "Celtic Music Playlist," and somehow it got like... stuck? Or something? And ended up repeating for like an hour or so. Hahahaha! I kept falling asleep to it, and waking up to it every time it started over! XD
If you look up some of her concert video (try the original Celtic Woman concert or A New Journey) chills aren't the most likely reaction. Meav looks as gorgeous as she sounds, a classic Grrreat Big Blonde. She's now with a new trio called Divinas Divas (not to be confused with the Mexican group Las Divinas) that has a DVD coming out at the end of June.
No matter who is singing this, it is beautiful. On the new Mythology DVD by The group Celtic thunder, they perform this. And it is beautifully done by Neil Byrne, George Donaldsonn, Colm Keegan, and Emmit Kahill.
"...Last Night, She Came to Me, She Came Softly IN; So Softly She Came that Her feet made no din, And She Laid her Hand on Me and this She did say: 'It will not be long, LOVE, till Our Wedding Day'!!"

So proud to share a name with this amazing woman.
Storytelling and music literally runs in the blood of the Irish 🇮🇪❤️
Once upon a time brought me here, and I’m so glad it did, it’s absolutely gorgeous
So beautiful and powerful... Simply a great song
This is one of the most beautiful folk songs I've heard yet. To me, it feels like something Blackmore's Night would sing
This song is beautiful!!! I've barely found about it last week!!!! I MISS MEAV TOO!!!!!! =(
Listen to sandy denny's version.
I'm a man and I'm not afraid to admit when she started singing...I got chills
It has been a long time since something has moved this hardened mind of mine. This was truly inspiring music.
Beautiful song *_* !

im part irish so i love this song!
my favourite
Ahora si creo que existen los ángeles y también cantan.
As beautiful as the rest of the song is, I would have no problem listening to 0:17 - 0:28 for the entire time.
This is so beautiful!
In fairness to Jim Kerr, he has always acknowledged that "Belfast Child" originated from this song . In my opinion,they are both great songs!
Gorgeous. Lisa was the best.
soy fan de estas talentosas mujeres, me encantan
So am I, dude and I fail to see why anyone would think as such.
I sung my son to sleep with this son :) I love to sing celtic woman, not only is it a good vocal challenge but its so soothing to baby ^_^
and have the CD that has this
I miss Meav :(
@FairytaleIsland
this is a traditional song.
I'm sure Simple Minds used this song as inspiration for their 80's hit "Belfast Child".
Yup Jim Kerr has always been honest about it
cooool... lol
@FairytaleIsland Belfast Child is the stolen on lol
Hey does anyone know what the irish chant means?
I think it might be like Fa la la and not mean anything
@elenakatherine526
try wikipedia
@ktarnik how do u knw??
this sounds like really familiar.....
+Sam Leon was this song on that one exodus movie cause i think they changed it
I first heard this sang by Loreena McKennitt over decades ago on her first album Elemental
Isnt this song Belfast Child????? O.o im confused.....it has the same melody to Belfast Child.....
Jim Kerr based Belfast Child on this song
Belfast CHild...
??? Don't get you. You surely don't think this was taken from Simple Minds??
this song is a classic irish song and the song belfast child used this melody, bassicily stoled the tune.
Jim Kerr is honest that he did take inspiration, and I think it’s very far out of copyright by now, anyone can alter it
