The first Ps5 I owned, I had for two weeks and it had to be sent back to Sony due to a HDMI problem. The screen had some mad flickers going on where it would change the entire pictures colours and have lines going down the screen. That was in early 2021. Id only left my ps5 on for 10/15 minutes whilst I nipped to the shop, and when I returned it was all messed up, even blamed it on one of the kids until our lass assured me no one touched it.
Long story short, the HDMI seems to be quite an issue with the PS5, besides that I absolutely love the thing!
Only took 10 days to send and receive my console too, during covid peak lockdowns, was absolutely astonished how quick they resolved it.

Another tip I could give is to use an HDMI cable that is a bit longer than necessary. When I did my first uses of PS5, the screen sometimes flickered, but I attributed it to the fact that the factory cable is very short and in the way that I have things arranged, the cable was stretched. The solution was to use a longer cable, and while that fixed the issue, I'm concerned that I may have damaged the HDMI port by having the factory cable stretched

Only use a longer hdmi 2.1 if you really need to, and even then you have to make sure that the cable actually can reliably keep up with a 4k 120hz signal, because the longer your cable, the further that signal has to travel. There's a pretty useful video on Linus tech tips about hdmi 2.1 cables, and they test a bunch of different brands, and some of the cables they test, don't even meet minimum specifications required to run a 2.1 signal.

Everyone this has happened to me and when I connect any cable it wouldn't work at all. I got worried naturally and thought I had to use my warranty but really if it doesn't work by connecting a different hdmi cable or a different display, or even when safe mode doesn't appear. Don't worry. What tends to happen is that the hdmi port itself is dirty and jamming the systems connection. The fix is to use achohol to clean the inside and blow any dust or debris. In my case the back of the ps5 is hot so the gel that holds the hdmi receptor in place kinda gooed down and made little gel balls in my port.

That's virtually impossible, the main culprit in your case is you're not supposed to remove the hdmi while the console is on.
It's recommended to avoid doing this.
If the console was off, I still can't see it bending pins just by pulling it out.
It would make more sense if it happened whilst plugging it in.
