The short guy who refused to remove his sunglasses would no doubt relish being called a 'Titan', and that awesome shirt the host is wearing makes me homesick for Canada. Another great video with a deeply moving account of a genuine and kind interaction. The love we give is the best we can leave to others.

The segment about Peaches was very moving. We never really know how life is going to turn out or which photo out of thousands that will become the most precious. Also, the photos of Bob from the second shoot are stunning , both in the way they were shot and what Bob is showing us.

I've fallen into a major wormhole with your channel, and absolutely love the videos. You're a brilliant storyteller and love the bond you have with your family including Fred, the content maker! Please make more, they're really interesting in a cultural and artistic way. :)

Incredible story. What a kind thing to do to send the Peaches pictures and I love how that kindness was returned.

As always, you have captivated me with your immersive storytelling. The story about Peaches really stood out to me, and is indicative of the person you are. I feel that this deep, empathetic understanding that you possess is an essential pillar of how/why you have succeeded in your career. How special it is that you were instrumental in capturing that imprint of a loved life. I have beem incredibly lucky to meet some of my heroes (for example, Australian adventurer Dick Smith), and those have been some of the most special and privileged moments of my life so far. Thanks again for uploading these videos, I look forward to all that is to come.

Class act Harry - thoroughly enjoyed your chats to camera - this one is a bit more so, well done.

What a lovely video. Not just a great insight into your approach, and honest reflection on your own vulnerability, as well as demonstrating a man at the top of his craft, but a deep, empathetic human connection. Thanks for sharing your very moving story of these interactions and photographs.
We all long to be seen. To be noticed. To be loved. To be appreciated. And even iconic figures like Geldof must as well. With your gesture, spontaneously sending him the photos of his daughter, you touched something very deep in you both.
    Thanks.
    Joe (Dundee, Scotland)

Soft Skills, Empathy, navigating sensitivity -- some of the most valuable and difficult to master skills of the portrait photographer.

13 Minutes of fabulousness! That was a cracking set of tales, passed on beautifully to the camera. I could feel that emotion towards the end. I cannot say that about many other channels on UA-cam. Sadly I had forgot about Peaches passing, until covered later in the video.... Some say never meet your heroes. I try all the time and do, but taking their photos is another level on top. Then as a paying job.... and to get the results like you consistently do.... One big layered cake that! I tip my hat to the video, squeezed a lot into 13 minutes.

Fascinating video. Very poignant and sad too. I'm only a rookie portrait photographer, but one of the reasons I like this genre so much is that I hope to record people for prosperity. Thanks for another great behind the scenes video.

Came for the photography talk, stayed for the story and the humanity. A great video. I actually remember reading that Guardian interview, and vividly remember the Miranda Sawyer quote you read aloud.

That's an amazing episode Harry. Always have admired Bob Geldof and loved the humanity and sensitivity shown by you at such a difficult time. On a side note, photographed Bob when he visited UCC many years ago, a Pr gig so not that much interaction. I did ask one of his "people" if they could ask if he'd sign a cd (cheeky), which he kindly did. A lovely keep sake to have from (imho) a great person. As ever thank you for sharing.

We strive for the loftiest of goals to have our work effect as many people as possible but sometimes having our images touch one person the right way is far more valuable than any published work.

@harryborden6077 I think she would have been fascinating to photograph. Sadly, the whole thing with Paula turned out to be nothing short of a Shakespearean Tragedy.
