it's crazy how people can sit through this video and then hate on it in the comments, like what's the point of watching in the first place? Fishing is more than just catching fish, and this video captures that essence. Great job Rolf.
Everything a fly fishing film should be, so beautifully crafted Rolf. Hopefully some more chapters to come. An inspirational piece of work, art actually!
Well can you tell Peter that he is very good at what he does also, top job by everyone involved!! If you're ever back in NZ, look me up. Maybe we can fish together, I'm based in the North Island. Check out some of our stuff on my channel if you like, hoping winter over there isn't making you crazy with no fishing. Keep up the great work Rolf, very inspiring. Tight lines - Chris.
Hi Peter and Rolf, bloody fantastic guys. Sensational bit of filming. We really need more work like this. Watching this was an absolute delight. well done. Cheers, Craig
Thank you...i needed that..im just catching native guadalupe bass out of the Calorado river by my house...but I feel like its the same thing for now because it's all I can manage and I feel most attached to an older way when I catch something that has been the same for thousands of years
A Poem in three chapters From the first time I saw this film I was spellbound by the story-telling from you, which touched me in a special way. An intimate camera, a sophisticated narrative and a great sense that each word your are telling us comes from the bottom of a deep soul full of love for nature and fly fishing. Thanks to all involved people for this great piece of work and the way it captures all the emotions. Three outstanding films. Keep on. I will share this with our FFTC.club Community - The FlyFisher Traveller Club - worldwide. Tight Lines, Alexander
Fantastic cinematography & even more fantastic is the bamboo rod and the wonderful scream of that reel once those monsters are hooked. Incredible videos bud. All the best.
I'm an avid follower of your wonderful work, and all your movies are a step beyond far from the crowd, but this guy (the actor of the film) is too "fashioned" to be a real fly-poet....;)) Let's "belonging" be real.
My goodness it's just fishing, does everything have to be portrayed as being so epic on youtube? let me guess you watched river runs through it and your life was never the same.
NICE trout. WOW. Great film, also. ☮ from the USA.
The fly fishing films all over youtube are all next level, keep them coming.

One of the best fly fishing movies I did ever see. This movie was one of the reasons why I went to New Zealand this year. Thank you Rolf
Did you visit this river? Seems to me like they call it Lethe to disguise the real name

thanks, glad you like it. But Peter A Christensen probably deserves more cred than me for this movie.

Where was this filmed? Trying to figure out if it’s in the USA or Europe.
New Zealand.
Great film
What rod is that, like brand, builder, class , lenght? Any way to find out??
Sorry, don't remember. It's someone from Italy, that's all I remember.
Ja!
Jävlar är det ända man kan säga, jävlar vad bra!
You remind me of a movie in which a guy plays him self as some one else
Wich bamboo flyrod is it ? Thanks
Some Italian rod builder, don’t remember. Sorry
The poetry was almost too much in its own, but then he busted out the split cane rod and I lost it
The sound of pencil grazing paper

Yep. The cliches he added are clever.
