I'm 55. At no time in my life have I've never seen a transformation of a franchise like this. Smart trades. Smart draft picks. Smart coaching. Smart player moves. Smart UDFAs. Smart management. Thank you Sheila Hamp, Chris Spielman, Brad Holmes, Dan Campbell, Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, and countless others. You have changed the culture in Detroit for the better. Using the words Superbowl and lions in the same sentence without it being a punchline has been refreshing to my old bones. Players like Goff, Montgomery, Gibbs, St Brown, Williams, the whole offensive line, Hutchinson, McNeil, Joseph, Branch, Arnold, Rakestraw the linebackers, Fox and Bates are the foundation of a young team that I dare say are the beginning of the nfls next dynasty instead of the nfls doormat.
Well, I agree that he shouldn’t of thrown goff out like nothing. I believe some of the blame was on for having a below average performance compared to his 2019 season.
Keep on Running it back boys. Straight to the Bowl Game and don't look back! Cementing himself as a Detroit Legend is what he will be remembered for! I was one of the believers when we traded for him and knew he was not a bridge QB for us. Thanks for helping to lead our team out of the dark Jared!
Lions fan over 40 yrs and loving everything about our team and Jared is playing awesome. Wasn't totally sure at first but he is definitely fn good enough for Detroit! Great job on this vid bro.
Wow dude. What a refreshing channel. No distracting over the top infographics, no AI voiceovers along with putting a face to a voice is just nice. You drop the info accurately and with your homework being done. Great video, new sub and def hit that like!! Appreciate the content and look forward to more!!!
We appreciate Goff and his attention to detail and deaf ear to the critics. He is an MVP and his game speaks for itself. No one has even mentioned him as an MVP candidate and that is a damn shame. Right now he is an MVP look at his stats. He completes almost 80% of his passes!
I love our lions and have since i was 10, 31 years. Get angry if you want to but as Lions fans should know especially the life long ones ( more than 20 years) that they are not SB contenders until they contend in the SB at least once. Realistic fans know im right.
Goff is The Man Love His Chill demeanor Winning Attitude MCDC & Ben Johnson make The A Team Best RB Duo in The League with The Best O’line Top Slot WR Top 2 TE. Best Defender in The NFL #97 Best Safety Duo in The League Jack & Anzalone T.A. is just getting started Love These Lions LG 🦁
Man I was so happy when the LA Rams said they was getting Matthew Stafford from the Lions when I was attending the Rams vs Ravens game on Monday night and I told them ok we Lions would take him and I bet he'll take the Lions to the Superbowl so when he left L,A. I came back home with Goff and I'm so happy the Lions got him 💯💯🫅🦁
Dude has become an elite quarterback. Not just a placeholder. I don't think that offense in Detroit is as potent if you take Goff away. His chemistry with Amon-Ra St. Brown and TJ Hockenson and the rest of the receiving corps is top notch.
Starved for NFL success, sporting success in Detroit has been quite attainable, Red Wings, Pistons, each won championships during the 2000s. Tigers have been to world series and Michigan won a Natty. We want more but Detroit has had success.
Lmao it took me like 7 mins into the video to realize that that was not Goff in the kitchen talking 😂 I swear I thought that was some old clips of him dude look just like Goff 😂😂😂
Goff has been to the dance, something no other Detroit player can say. He knows what it takes to get there. Go Lions win on b4 I die of old age You won in 1957, but that was b4 the Super Bowl. I was 13 months old then, so you have not realistically won in my lifetime.
That 3-13-1 doesnt do justice to how close the scores were. Even though we lost so many, you actually felt like the lions were trying. They just didnt have the pieces.
I find it really cool how multiple of the best quarterbacks in the NFL are sons of Baseball players. I wonder if some basketball players kids will make the NFL one day too. That'd be cool.
Last year, I got frustrated with Goff. The first half of the season he threw a lot of interceptions. He cleaned up his play in the second half of the season and since he's looked like a hall-of-fame QB. If he doesn't regress, the Lions will have a deep playoff run. The last 5 games or so he's looked untouchable.
Being from Michigan, it was sad to say that my team was the Lions. However, that is my home. Now it is the best thing ever to be able to say that that my team is the Lions. Seeing the Rams reaction to losing to the Lions in the playoffs was great. Knowing they lost to their former quarterback, but they took it very humbly. Almost like if they lost to a team, they were happy it was the Lions. Now I'm watching highlight reels, breakdowns of games, etc. like I never have before. Now stumbling upon your video, I will say, watching this video was great. Your narrative on the whole thing was great, seriously. I don't know how you only have 25k subscribers. You definitely got me.
Honestly, some of this stuff is prlly why they don't tend to hire young coaches. You can't have all this emotional stuff getting in the way of your team operating properly. And that's not to say that older coaches are immune to it, because obviously they're not. I just feel like it's less likely/common.
The Goff/McVay issue happened as a result of a few things. First was the decline of Gurley, once you take that amount of GRAVITY away, Goff began having issues. Gurley was 'old reliable' for Goff, if Jared needed to check it down, Gurley would make the most out of it. Second was the frustration of scheming guys open that Goff wasn't hitting and when addressing this with Goff, Jared had a 'ho hum' sort of demeanor about it. As Whitworth stated, everything became "quiet", McVay just quit talking to Jared because he wasn't responding and there were NO results from any of it. There is a stat that coaches pay attention to when evaluating a QB called "average of separation per completion". McVay was scheming guys WIDE open and Goff was missing them or checking down and when Sean would point it out, Goff was aloof about it. Stafford had the LOWEST 'separation per completion' in the league the year he wanted out of Detroit but McVay saw that he had a HIGHER completion percentage, which meant, if he could get a dart throwing ace like Stafford, he could win a title. Say what you want but Stafford under McVay had, by far, his best statistical year as a pro. Goff needed that reality check and people can be angry with McVay all they want but in truth, in the end, it was good for Goff. Put yourself in McVay's shoes and it becomes a lot easier to understand.
I have my respect for Goff, but the dude literally has been around super teams. The 2018 Rams and 2024 Lions are superteams and does not require elite QB play in big moments. Goff never showed up in big moments and that's why he was traded. The Rams wanted someone who can win now and it was Stafford. Stafford right now is still better than Jared Goff. Jared Goff just has a way better team than he does and if Stafford & Goff had = level teams Stafford would outplay him 8 out of 10 games if it was out of 10.
That's why they won the SB when they got rid of him right? Goff does not show up in big time moments when needed that's why he got traded. Yall need to stop talking like the dude is a top 5 QB. He just been around the best offensive minds in Mcvay and Ben Johnson and has a talented roster up and down.
Uhh.....Y’all realize Jared Goff doesn't even play for the Lions, right? The Lions QB is Dreaj Foge. Idk why everyone keeps calling him Jared Goff. And y'all call yourselves Lions fans...pfff 🤦🏼♂️

Dan Campbell criticized Goff performance in 2021 but the difference is you can tell Dan wasn't throwing Goff under the bus unlike mcvay did.

Thank you Goff!!! Dude means so much to this city.
I genuinely hate mcvay for the way he pushed all the blame on Goff then threw him away like a old napkin
Then he completed his redemption story arc in the wild card game against his former team!
Revenge is a dish best served cold.
I truly hope Goff is never bested by that fuck again.
Well, I agree that he shouldn’t of thrown goff out like nothing. I believe some of the blame was on for having a below average performance compared to his 2019 season.
Glad Jared Goff landed in Detroit. 😃😁
It's impressive how much Jared and his wife embraced Detroit. Their work in charity for the community is also undeniable.

I see the day after the Lions win the Superbowl Sheila puts up 10 billboards of Jared Goff in L.A with the caption saying i,ll get more you won't.😂

"LA's boy to Detroits man" love that!
Ive never been a lions fan but how could you not support these guys ill root for them in any game not against my team

watching all these vids from u, entertainment is why you earned a sub
You did amazing with this mini documentary about Goff
He was somebody thrown aside. Thrown to the wolves. Then he still had the energy to pull resurgence....
Yeah, he's a Detroit man

5 interceptions in a game is crazy
Are you really clowning him just because of 5 ints? 💀

That Mr. Perfect nickname fits his recent level of play.

Omg he does
That's the first thing I thought. I was like is this Goff's cousin or something?
Damn, I was thinking the same thing
YES, Goff for MVP and definitely can win a the Super Bowl this season!💙😊
McVay is a coach. Dan Campbell is a leader of men. That is why the Lions are Super Bowl contenders now, and figure to be for the next several seasons
When I first heard about the trade, I was torn. But now tho, the rams can have matt. Jared has his home here now.
Its finally our time 💙🦁👑
How could anyone dislike this video? Must be McVey family all butt hurt for giving up so much and being unable to make the most of a talented man!

Just a quick clean up note... Amon-Ra St. Brown's name is pronounced Amon RAH, not "Ray."
Otherwise, this was a perfect smash of a video!!!
I'm glad McVay threw our Goff away-He ended up here with us here in DETROIT. In Goff we trust!

LA Rams clearly jump the gun on getting rid of Goff, he probably was looked at and blamed too much for the teams under performance
8:25 Lmao, "those are aaron rogers' balls" doesn't have the same weight to it that it used to.

Goff is an extreme dude but c'mon man
crazy timing lol 5 picks but we still won so its all good
Dude! You kind of look like Jared Goff!
Seeing Max kellerman really brings back how annoying that guy is
Lions 🦁 are going all the way to the 😅 Super Bowl 🏈 they can beat any team left in the playoffs 😅 Go Lions 🦁 😳 🤔 👏 😂
I wonder how people felt at first when Stafford was traded and Goff replaced him
Everyone hated it. Detroit loved Stafford, LA loved Goff.
@@ziergiest I figured that
Heartbroken from a lions fans
Ah, he grew up in the Bay. That's why he fits in so well in Detroit.

What the fuck did I say bro? Maybe take someone who's dealt with this before on the Rams. Without a run game goff doesn't make plays.
At least tag the creator that inspired you. Didn't even change the title
Then he throws 5 picks against the Texans
Ooooo he had one bad game, even in his worse game the Lions still won 😂
Goff was scapegoated by Ronald McVay! You could see the talent and look at him now! Lions n Goff are going all the way baby! 😅
