This is a really good question. To be honest with you, for the most part, I tend to add to my shares slowly over time, and don't give too much thought to the size of them. I mostly just buy and keep buying as long as the stock is at a level that I like

Enjoying your content lately. I am new to investing...started late 2022. Mostly investing in 2 etfs( SnP and divided one SPYD as SCHD is not available in EU). Step by step i also started opening small positions like 100-300euro in single stocks like O, PFE, JNJ, MC, BRM. My question is what is the idea ....to keep them for a while to gain potentially 20-30% profit and reinvest in my dividend etf ooor keep them like 10-20y as part of the whole strategy? I am investing something like 225e per eft every month and 50e in sinfle stock if there is no good stock/price at the current month i am skipping a month or two and wait for discounts...i will appreciate some guidance. I feel that lately i am investing in pharma more than needed because the overall industry status is falling slightly thus the good prices...
Hi Ryne, why did you decide to go with 60% SCHD and 40% VOO? I would assume you would want to make your largest holding a growth ETF. Since the Roth is tax free growth. Any insight would be appreciated.
The Roth is also tax-free dividends. Over time, I'm prioritizing a dividend growth approach, which is why I went heavier into SCHD. However, a 40% exposure to the S&P 500 will still allow me to benefit from long term share price appreciation. I see this as the best of both worlds
Have you looked into the 3 bucket portfolio, like professor G talks about? For my Roth I have a VOO-25% SCHD-25% and QQQM 50%. I have 24 years of growth until 59 1\2, 5-10 years out from 59 1\2 I plan on reallocating my contribution more to SCHD and selling off QQQM to add to SCHD to get those to get those dividends. What are your thoughts on this strategy?
Question - does your tracking % that you say you are " up x%" does this include dividends collected or is it exclusive of that and only tracking share price value appreciation or decrease kinda thing? Thanks?

Great video, Ryne. You are progressing well towards $100K. One question for you: Have you considered adding Kenvue to your portfolio? I think it will be a good, stable company, like PG.
@@rynewilliams That's a good decision. PG, according to analysts, has better growth prospects compared to KVUE anyway. The only thing going for KVUE is that it is considered undervalued by 24% by Morningstar.
Why dont you try Lockheed Martin? That's the one and only American company that'll never go to crap... or is it too expensive to buy? I kinda' have no idea how that works

And these are all my stocks at the moment
The biggest risk of all is to take none. (M. Hobson)
I, too, have done really well over the last few years with SCHD, VOO, and starting in 2022 JEPQ. I had also, until recently held a bunch in JEPI but recentl sold out my entire position in order to invest in a collection of covered calls ETFs outside of the JP Morgan family. In all honesty I am beginning to regret that decision
Great gains on Apple and Coca Cola!
Thank you!
Great video, Ryne. You are progressing well towards $100K. One question for you: Have you considered adding Kenvue to your portfolio? I think it will be a good, stable company, like PG.
Thank you! I haven’t seriously considered KVUE. I’d rather just buy more PG
@@rynewilliams That's a good decision. PG, according to analysts, has better growth prospects compared to KVUE anyway. The only thing going for KVUE is that it is considered undervalued by 24% by Morningstar.
My biggest position is MA. 550 shares
Holy cow!
@@rynewilliams I bought MA for 83.50 10 years ago. Just buy & hold and tune out the daily financial noises.
Why dont you try Lockheed Martin? That's the one and only American company that'll never go to crap... or is it too expensive to buy? I kinda' have no idea how that works
I used to own LMT back in the day! Did pretty well with it
@@rynewilliams why no more?
There are just other companies I’d rather own
How is my total gain higher then a minus if i rienvested my divident ,and im in minus
I apologize, but I'm not sure I understand the question
👍👍 I Love vti and schd!
Both are solid, nice choices!
Ryne "Anyway" Williams...teasing, but anyway, thanks for the info. I didn't have the patients to invest in dividends back in 2014, but here I am doing it now so I don't find myself saying shoulda/coulda/woulda in 2034, God willing.
I think you’ll be glad you started, great job!
1,370 shares of SCHD and counting
Wow, that’s very impressive. Great job!
Very late and new to the game, only been in the dividend and investing game for less than 3 weeks. I think my breakdown is good thou; 16 total stocks, 7 ETFs, and 9 individual stocks. Average of 6.39%. If ok to ask, what do you think?
Welcome to the investing game! I obviously don’t know what any of your holdings are, and I don’t know your situation, but I think you’d really be just fine with only 1 or 2 ETFs. And your yield at 6.39% is very high. I’d be curious to know what your holdings are to arrive at that yield
@@rynewilliams Thank you for the reply. Love your videos. Stocks are: AAPL, AVGO, DGRO, JEPI, JPM, JNJ, LOW, MAIN, MO, MSFT, O , SBUX, SCHD, TXN, V, VICI
I mean those are all solid holdings…how are you ending up with a 6.39% yield? Are JEPI, MAIN, and MO your largest holdings?
@@rynewilliams JEPI, and O are the main ones for now. Well, I think I will download your tracker, maybe the one I originally had, some coding could be wrong. Or does the amount of shares from each stock change it?
The amount of $ is what is the more important, if your biggest $ position is MO, it could explain your hight yield.@@user-qr4ey3xv4j
Love your content.Realty Income has no substantial growth. Only massive upside they have is their monthly dividend payout. But in terms of growth of stock you're going nowhere with it. Your thoughts?😊
My thought is that Realty Income is not a company you invest in for its aggressive growth
$ 62,000 in how much time?
I've been investing consistently for about 4 years
I LIKE THIS! Thanks for sharing your portfolio.
Thank you!
I have 400,000 in cds. I want to invest, but ......
...but?
you have CDs = you've already invested. if you're not using the interest then take that and buy dividend stocks. that's still dividend reinvesting. then next time you'll have CD interest and a little stock dividend too
Taxable brokerage( started October 2023)
