THATS WHAT YOU CALL A CLASSIC TRUCK. AND WHAT A BEAUTY.
He was cleaning the rim that fits in the backing plate? Normally that is not the sticking point . Normally its the shoes or hub .
Didn't even show the brakes shoes😂😂
That sounds exactly like my dog
Looking good

0:25 whats the dirty thing
Although called a caisson 'gate' it is actually a vessel in its own right. The caisson is a hollow vessel built from wood and steel which, when flooded with water, was sunk down into channels at the head of the dock so that the water could be pumped out of the dock via the pumps in the pump house
@@spartankc Oh, i thought it was ss traffic
One thing missing - PETERBILT!😉 Strob lights = 0 (zero)
Excellent brought back memories
I grew up there in the sixties, would have been better if you'd said what streets you were driving on since everything has changed.
😘🥰😍👍
👀
😎👍
Great shot of me loading the tractor on my trailer ..👍👍👍
I agree,I drove wws158t,ERF b series,with a 265 rolls,and a fuller box,with a tipper tank,for R&W Febrys,out of blue circle at Westbury,bit of an animal,but I loved every minute, halcyon days.
This brings back memories for me, I built a Spartan in 1983/84. Mine, the later Cortina based version, was also painted in British Racing Green.
Proper lorries. Not the rubbish they make now..

Thats a beauty. ERF, Foden always make me smile they seem to be alive!
My Dad drove those ERF's all week sleep in the cab, Hard plywood sheet over the Big Engine cover,
Real beauty that nice colour combo
Love These Old Lorries, But Better Than The 💩 They Make Nowadays 🇬🇧💪🏻👍🏻
the nomadic is sitting there and now restored
The truck or at lease the number plate is ex Isle of Wight Registration DL plates were for the Island, I would say ex Vectis Transport, nice truck looking good
Spot on it spent all its life in IOM
@spartankc the registion plate is Isle of Wight, which is off the south coast of England, not the IOM have seen this truck in shows on the IoW
@@aswclassicsiow8588 just seen this I meant to say isle of Wight not isle of man "my bad" lol
Love the truck , remember seeing loads of these on the road in the late 60s, when I use to go on trips in my dads lorry
E R F, Is that a Gardner Engine 🇬🇧👍🏻
Trop beau🤩🚛👍Un breton french
Had a few like that after they had been stood all weekend
Cracking on lads👍🏻 what’s the plan with her? Tractor unit or box body?
Box body!! we were going to put another beavertail on to take classic cars to shows but decided to keep the tow hitch on and either trailer them or tow with a dolly hopefully!!
@@spartankc great stuff! I’ll keep watching mate, I’ve got a c series myself, really enjoy taking her to shows. Keep the videos coming 👍🏻
Very nice clean ERF truck that brought back memories. Keep up the great work 👍👍👍
Nice old classic truck need more UA-cam videos of these old classic trucks please 🙏
Nice 6lxct.
Is it a remanufacture engine ?
No it's the original engine
@@spartankc but it's blue, the remanufactured were sprayed blue. Is there a date on it. Should be under the cambox half shaft.
I have to check but as far as I'm aware it's the original
@@spartankc no problem mate, it may of had a top end on it, at some point
@@carllockpick6179 you're spot on it is a remanufactured engine from perkins Manchester
It’s In Good Order
Mezzo favoloso
As a young boy ,i always remember seeing these iconic trucks when Dad took us all to see extended family ,usually London to Manchester on motorways in the old Ford Zephyr . I remember some had Gardner badges on grille , overtaking i always used to look out of rear back window(no seat belts then) to admire this great looking truck, and to see how much working black smoke was coming out the exhaust pipe at the front wheel of the truck. The driver smoking a fag ,gearjamming on his way , great memories, thanks for sharing your vid.
Nice lorrie
Nice
Lovely looking Atkinson, spotlessly clean, in their day these trucks were the king's of the road, keep on trucking 👍
Eaton twin splitter, how many of today's drivers could drive this? One of the best gearboxes ever made
Not many
No many my dad use to use the fuller . Now passed
Cummins m11 twin splitter what could be better 🤷♂️
Fuller Roadranger, four on four, splitter and range change, sixteen ratios plus reverse. A great 'box, even column change on the MAN 232 of the '70s.
Gardners, engines like Swiss clockworks. A mate of mine has got two French Bernard lorries. One has a Gardner 150 the other one has a 180.
There was so much wind noise it was difficult to tell when it was running.
Sorry that was the erf beside it ticking over
Nomadic - is people going from a place to another
What?
@@oscartapia1409He means that the SS Nomadic is a tender for ships. Tender: Was built for transferring passengers and mail to other ships.
Well Trying not to burst your bubble but, The SS Nomadic isnt an Formal Tender ship anymore its an museum ship..
