The most beautiful Anna Karenina's movie I've ever watched. Aaron, Keira, Jude, Matthew, Domnhall... I mean, every one on the cast was great! And they fit so well with the concept of the movie.
It's a very free and shallow interpretation of the book. Almost a fantasy based on the plot of Anna Karenina.Well, if it gives people so much joy...Poor Tolstoy though, probably is restless in his grave.

Bronsky was a horrible, selfish man who ruined Anna’s life. He surely knew what would happen to her but he lured her away from her husband and later discarded her. True narcissist.
Read the Novel before making bullshit comments on youtube.Actually Anna was dealing with low self esteem,mental health and lower self confidence along with drugs.If Vronsky didn’t Love Anna,He would not have always Protected her Nor would He go on to a War as a suicide mission to sacrifice Himself over her grief.
Have you actually read the novel? It's Anna who is the most insecure and in constant need of proof of his love towards her. Goodness, she is insufferable in the novel.

Yes, I’ve read it. Yes, Anna was insecure, and my reading is that Vronsky took advantage of her insecurity. She had exactly the qualities a narcissist would look for.
She was an insecure fool, but he loved her despite everything. But he followed his life very full after she died, so was it worth everything she lost for a passion? I don’t understand why she did not wait patiently for the divorce and then marry him, just like it was planned and just like Betsy said….
Because at that time a divorce was a disgrace for a woman. She depended on her husband financially and probably got married when she was a teenager. Only the wronged partner could initiate divorce so Alexey would have to confirm that she was unfaithful. That would make everyone go trough social hell… And, of course, Anna is an impulsive character, her action shows that she’s not always thinking straight, so she didn’t want any more battles with her husband and ran away to find love. (In my opinion)
She couldn't make up her mind. Her husband would have full custody of her son and she would never see him again but she also suffered from the societal shame and couldn't deal with that either. She went back to Karenin but flipped again and ran back to Vronsky. And then she couldn't properly care for her affair baby although she was devoted to her first born son. She couldn't be happy either way.
She would lose her social and financial status that she had all her life and her son. Karenin's speech explains this very well. She didn't know what she wanted, there can't be no dedication of love without sacrifice. Her mind was 1000km/h. She didn't stop and think properly.

No one is even ATTEMPTING a Russian accent.
But if you think about it, it wouldn't make sense for the characters to use imperfect, Russian-accented English because they're supposed to be speaking fluent Russian to each other. To get the same effect in a movie for English speakers, the actors should just speak fluent English.
It would be absolutely atrocious if they all spoke in a Russian accent the whole time (or rather, a British idea of what Russian accents sound like)
Edit: fun fact, but the aristocratic characters often speak fluent French too because that was the language of the educated Russian gentry (a result of class divides). For example, they would often switch to French when they don't want servants overhearing them. Most aristocrats knew multiple languages, including English.

In my opinion Tolstoy will be rolling in his grave at this interpretation of his masterpiece - due to both protagonists and its production. The one that would come remotely close to the nodding of the author is, without doubt, the version with Sean Bean and Sophie Marceau.
Tolstoy was an artist and I think he would appreciate an artistic interpretation of his story.
Why people keep thinking criticizing anything and anyone on internet with no reason and no explanation is a well-educated thing?
I do not jump into bad version movie's videos to telling bad things and neither should you.
Or the Italian version of Victoria and Santiago. This Hollywood version made Anna like whore and Vronsky frivolous womanizer. Their funny gestures made the true love like hide and seek game

In reality, Lucifer does not exist. You can see it in “ The Beauty and the Beast “ video, but this is, in reality, a carnival. Keira is PERFECT. Vivian Leigh was good as well, but Keira had a seductiveness about her. I've read the book, and this movie adaptation was the best by far of all the ones I've seen, and Keira captures the character exquisitely, from the quick walk, to graceful movement of her hands, to her curly dark hair. She was almost too sensual and seductive, but it still worked.
