I just installed similar headlights in my 2017 Renegade. Bless you for this video otherwise I would STILL be out there trying to figure it all out. My only problem is that when I was done, my high beams did not work. I noticed you never checked your high beams in this video. Did you run into the same problem? How did you fix it?
No problem! Glad it helped. Sorry for taking a minute to get back to you, but work was crazy today. We did not have an issue with the high beams that I can remember. We filmed more of the ring than anything and with the brights on, you wouldn't be able to see it. I was talking to the owner (they no longer have it), but he said he would be happy to discuss what is going on if you would like? Here is his Instagram handle: instagram.com/king_o_ruckus/?hl=en
I followed these steps exactly and my driver's side headlight doesn't power up even though the halo light does. The headlight was fully functional prior to making the harness splice as shown.
If you wire the stock headlight back up, does it work? If so, may be a faulty aftermarket headlight. Sorry it's not working for you. We didn't cut out any steps and got ours to work fine. Let us know and we will see if we can help.
@@thesinistercamaro If I bypass the flicker control unit and plug the xprite directly into the original OEM harness I get both headlights but no halo light obviously. If I plug the full series of harnesses in as shown in the video with the same ground and low beam splice I get halo lights on both sides but only headlight on passenger side. So the problem lies in the wiring somehow
Do you have Instagram? If so, send me some pics of what it looks like on the drive side, please. instagram.com/the_sinister_camaro If we can't do it that way, email me at thesinistercamaro@gmail.com. Send me the year and model of yours too, please. This will be faster and help us figure out how to get it to work. 🤘🏻
Honestly, a lot of lights have the same general concept, so it is possible. However, I'd stick to a video or instructions tailored to that product to be safe. Just my opinion.
Unfortunately, our friends got rid of the Jeep renegade because it started having issues (not related to the lights). They have a Wrangler now and once this pandemic lifts a little more, we hope to have more projects with that one. We never made it to the fogs, so I can recommend anything in the projector realm. I can only recommend a custom setup to put a ring in to match the headlights and a super bright white LED bulb. That's what I have on my Camaro and works great, but I understand the projectors would be a lot better for the offroad stuff y'all might do.
It looks pretty good but you should not have had the Halos hooked into headlights because for show purposes the halo rings would look better by themselves without the bright white light interfering with the color. So the Halo should have been attached to the drl's
That's the way sure wanted it. I agree the bright LEDs overtook the color of the rings but she liked it and that's all that matters. I appreciate the constructive feedback 🤘🏻😊
Hi there, really cool. Let me ask you. I wonder if to remove the external grille is it needed to disassembly the whole bumper as you did or is it possible to remove just the front grille without removing anything else? Thanks. ;0) All the best and stay safe. Cheers from Brazil.
Hey there! Thanks so much for checking out the video! The only guides I can find to get the grille off include removing the front bumper. On my Camaro and truck, it's the same because of how they are clipped in and in order to get to the clips/screws on the back, you have to remove the front bumper first. It also helps a ton to have all of that space to work with when installing the lights too. Hope this helps and have a great day! 🤘🏻
@@thesinistercamaro Thanks a lot for the reply, I appreciated that. That was exactly what I was thought due to the clips and 2 screws on the back of the grille where there is no room to remove them between the grille and radiator. Thanks for the help. Have a great day and happy holidays.
If you could do anything else to this Jeep, what would it be? Best answer could mean another video on the upgrade! #SinisterCamaroArmy
Quick tip for those fender flare fasteners. Press a 7mm socket over the back side and they will pop right through
Finally someone put out this information on the renegade
Shortly after, they sold the renegade so we never got to make more videos. Hope this helped you though!

And where did you buy the lights and the adapter ring for the lights
Also, in the description. Hope it helps!

Will this video still help with the outlaw X halo lights?

Where did you buy those ?
Links are in the description 😎
How about upgrading the Foglights what would you recommend? I have LED lights in them right now but I want LED projectors. Do more renegade videos :)

The Sinister Camaro ah ok thank you so much for the recommendation I will be looking for a halo light and white led bulb thanks again for the reply :)
@@thesinistercamaro oh lord i heard they have a lot of issues

No problem! Same to you 🤘🏻
Great job
Thanks so much!
Well done 👏👍👋
Thanks for the positive feedback 🤘🏻
Are we just gonna ignore the fact that Casey said “butt connectors”? Oh the jokes I could make 🤣
+Kerstyn Dickerson haha I heard you laughing every time it was said 🤦🏻♂️
Let’s see how horrible of a job I did explaining and how much of my mumbling you had to cut out! Lol.
+Casey West actually, it was really good! A little long be we covered everything so others wouldn't have to do so! 🤙🏻
"No big deal" count = 47
🤣🤣🤣
You would be jobless in Europe. here it's not allowed to do that :)
No job in Europe for changing headlights on a vehicle? That’s weird. Glad I don’t live over there then too. Great places to visit though. 😀
jeezus it's soo ANOYING those americans car beeps. like for little childrens.... needs sounds beeps and lables everywhere
haha depends on the car, but I agree on the high pitched horns. I'd rather have a train horn kit on it instead so people will get out of the way.
42 min video for head lights.... please stop
😂 100+ people seem to have a different option but thanks for taking the time to comment. 🤘🏻
