This is the back yard of a friend of mine. His yard had very poor soil. It was mostly clay, so we removed the top 4 inches and brought in 3 inches of topsoil before laying new sod.
Yes, the X738 and the X758 are the same except for the motor. As far as the work they perform they are identical. The diesel is slightly more fuel efficient but louder.
I modified the X738 by drilling one new hole in the frame. I made custom brackets that bolted through factory holes. I show everything necessary to add the loader here. www.mytractorforum.com/threads/45-loader-attachment-for-signature-series-x7xx.1335193/
Her is an article I published on how to install a 45 loader on any newer Signature series X7xx tractor. I hope you liked the video. Thanks for watching. www.mytractorforum.com/threads/45-loader-attachment-for-signature-series-x7xx.1335193/
I purchased the X738 on a Black Friday sale in 2017. There was a $2000 difference in price. I did a lot of research and although there are plenty of people that will tell you the X758 is better or has more torque the reality is they both have the exact same output as the engine only drives a hydraulic pump that runs everything. The engine is never directly connected to anything but the pump. Although older Diesel engines burned less fuel per hour there is only a .2 to .3 gal per hour difference between the diesel and the gas motors. The first two years I owned the tractor diesel was more expensive than gas. I calculated at the time of purchase I would have to run the tractor for close to 3000 hours before I would break even on the cost difference let alone save money. If you like diesel and don't mind paying the difference then by all means spend your money how you like. But as far as performance I have now moved over 400,000 lbs of dirt, and rock with my tractor and no one can argue it didn't get the job done. I spent the money saved on the tractor to purchase a snowblower.
I have a Heavy Hitch Tooth bar but I don't use it when leveling dirt as the teeth dig into the dirt. The blade of the bucket does a much better job of leveling and scraping.
This is a King Cutter / Country Line tiller. Purchased from Tractor Supply. Depending on where you live will determine which brand name is on the tiller. Having said all that I don't recommend this tiller for your machine as it is too heavy. The only reason it works on my machine is because of the front loaders weight. Without the 400 lbs hanging so far off the front the tiller would lift the front tires off the ground.
I use this tractor for residential lawn care. I brought a 1025 to my house in November and the extra weight caused ruts in my not quite frozen lawn. The X738 doesn't do that and I don't have to worry about ROPS being to tall. The only thing I don't have but want is a rear bucket to dig trenches with.
Thanks for the video, enjoyed that little tractor at work.
Here for the pure enjoyment of watching small loader work. I have a JD 332, with a small bucket.
That’s a very capable tractor and loader. Nice.
Just wondering why you were doing this job. Putting a new lawn in ?

twotonebrute Nice. I didn’t realize the x738 was a gas engine tractor. So is the x738 and x758 the same tractor other than the engine. ?

What modifications did you have to do to the x738 to mount the 45 loader to the frame

I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW HOW YOU MOUNTED AN OLDER 45 ON TO A NEWER X700 SERIES?

Why did you go for the X738 instead of the X758?

Do you have a toothbar for the 45 loader? I’ve been looking into the piranha toothbar for my 45 loader. The bucket is 45”

@@twotonebrute I've heard good things regarding the Heavy Hitch. I've been also looking at the Piranha toothbar. Many Thx!!
What tiller is that looking for one for my x595

Why this over a 1025?
