That's a gorgeous machine my friend but you were so concerned about the tractor (you called it a lawnmower) pulling those tiny logs. You're seriously underestimating that fine piece of equipment. It's a John Deere X738! and every guy in America stuck in the GT series is drooling over it. That's A BEAST of a machine you've got there and it can pull far more than a 6 foot log. I know you only had ratchet straps but gimme a couple chains and I'll drag 5 or 6 of those logs out of the woods at the same time. 8 - 10 with some AG tires. ENJOY :)
Nathaniel Brogden haha yea I have one and I love it I pulled a dead tree that was 30 ft high down with it and then dragged it way back into my dump pile without any trouble with a chain and the off road tires
Thanks for letting me know you have the 54” deck. Have you heard if the 60” decks are problematic on these tractors? Have 3ac. to mow and was considering the 60” deck. I appreciate your insight...David
I haven't heard anything about the 60" mower decks. I use my 54" to cut 3 acres of steep terrain. It takes a while, and if I let the grass go too long, the machine works pretty hard cutting it.

Calling that grass is quite a stretch, at some points it looked like you were in a wet hayfield, that’s a pretty impressive mower.
