    I've just bought the Large version (saw your vid on that, thanks). For the price difference, I'd say buy because you like the layout, and buy the Large (the 14 litre). You pay nearly as much for the 9 litre as the 14 litre that, unless you've cash to splash, you may as well buy the 14 litre - using you as a scale object :-) the extra space doesn't seem much extra, and it's better to have a tad more space than you think you'll need (you'll expand into it!). As for "cry once, buy once", love it, though I'll be crying for another week or two yet :-)

    Also, I’m not someone that believes in carrying a firearm inside a bag of this kind. What do thieves want to steal? Loose bags. Purses and these kind of bags alike. I understand why you’d want to put a firearm in a bag like this but for me it would not be as a carry or defensive option. It would be if it needed to come off my body for transport reasons.

    I’ve been using the Veldspar for about a year, but one can’t always look “tacti-cool”, so I’m thinking of getting one of these for work (I like that the Veldspar can fit under my scooter 🛵 seat) and travel.

    Would this fit an insulated 1L Yetti comfortably? They're just a skosh thicker than an uninsulated bottle. Was your bottle insulated?

    Good review, you should really consider putting the exact name of the model you are reviewing in the title. "Larger and smaller" version doesn't tell me much. I assume this is the Veldspar.

    That padding on the back looks like crap real fast. Why they put this material on thier bags I have no idea. Because of it this bag is unusable. I have many maxpedition products and am looking for an iPad bag. This one would have worked, too bad.

    I despise velcro. Should be banned for use on all bags.

    • @prva9347
      @prva9347 2 роки тому

      Do you mean due to the noise? I've bought several Maxpeditions. The worst is the Neat Freak. Can't use it as the velcro's far too loud, so I keep it in the car (batteries, small tools, paperwork). Velcro's a nightmare if you're somewhere needing to be quiet or discreet. Could replace with magnetic catches?

    • @Buffalohump77
      @Buffalohump77 2 роки тому

      @@prva9347 The noise and the fact that it will always wear out. Admittedly some velcro is better than others but yeah, there are better options available. Like zippers, snap locks and magnetic fasteners now.

    • @prva9347
      @prva9347 2 роки тому +1

      @@Buffalohump77 Not on the more "outdoors" luggage, but I've replaced velcro on "ordinary" bags with poppers (are they snap locks?), not because the velcro's worn out but to remove the noise element. I sew for fun but I hate replacing velcro with thick fabric or even canvas (hard work). I start first with sewing in a D-hook or a lobster clasp or two or three, then look at the velcro. But not the Neat Freak, that's a lost cause - I swear it's made of velcro.
