A-Lock I like you because your a Panthers fan but , but it depends of how Casual the “Casual” fans are to know because how else would they know the other Defensive players in the Pro bowl
Snubbed from pro bowl. Underrated asf , I don’t see how people put Landon, Earl, Jenkins, and Eric berry over him. #1 Safety in the league. He can do everything literally. If Harrison was on another team like the patriots, Cowboys, Falcons, Steelers, Or some other team he’d get a lot more respect , Period. DPOY #Skol
Nathan Steeds , To me Pro bowl is just a popularity contest between which big names fans like 🤷🏽♂️, No matter stats they have , Exactly what you mean with Odell
Sadly since Harrison Smith is on the Vikings and doesn’t get much love, if he was on a team like the Seahawks, Steelers, Patriots (Teams with a lot of bandwagon fans ) he would get love. Once my Vikings win the SB, he will finally be recognized by fans and he will get the love he deserves.
Poet Anderson 17 ints in 6 years which isnt bad at all but one of the best to ever do it at safety? Sorry not even close. Dude is 29 already an compared to the greats of ed reed, ronnie lott, rod Woodson. It's not even close.
Interceptions aren't the only way to look at a free safety, especially one like Smith that lines up all over the field. Look at his number of sacks and tackles, comparing the first 6 years of their careers (the 3 guys you mention), only Ronnie Lott had more tackles. But by the end Smith will lead all 3 of them in career sacks (already leads two of them). He is well on his way to being one of the greats, stop looking at stats and just watch him!!
@@vBosch so you are comparing one of the best do ever do it in ed reed too harrison smith? I never said smith isnt a good safety but not in the same company as reed. So your comment is invalid.
Great work, Baldy. You're one of my favorite NFL media guys, you know your stuff. Thanks for bringing my boy Harry into the limelight with this breakdown, SKOL VIKES.
Agree with this synopsis 100%. Harrison Smith has been overlooked and underrated for far too long and, in my opinion, he deserves defensive player of the year without question. He's a beast and one of the most unselfish players in the league. The fact that he was overlooked for the Pro Bowl this year is liken to Peyton Manning not getting the Heisman Trophy....... Ridiculous. But, being Harrison Smith, you won't hear any complaints or trash talk from him. He's a respectful young man that you won't hear a bunch of "dirt" on and he lets his game do all his talking.
Best run support and Blitzing safety in the league. He doesn't jump coverages alot and isn't aggressive in interceptions which is why people don't know much about him. He gives up less big plays than any other safety because he doesnt jump coverages.
You know who else isn't getting love, slay. #1 in pass brake ups, and tied #1 in ints, and he went up against ab, jones, a.j, the vikings wr's twice, packers wr's twice, and mike evens.
No they aren't. They're a better overall team. Patriots obviously have the Vikings beat with playoff experience, but the patriots talent wise aren't better. Not to mention vikes can still make the Super Bowl if the patriots do lol different conferences
Cowboys fan here...n it's sad this man ain't gttn the love he deserves.... ridiculous..n if u a football fan in general..he been official for at least 2 yrs straight just off my eye test....best fckn safety out thr
no i realize that, you cant single cover gronk for a whole game, but I thought Eric Berry did as good a job as possible vs gronk week one before he went down, and Smith is better than Berry imo, just think it will be pretty interesting to see.
Yeah, I remember when Jared Allen's 22 sacks on a season was not enough for dpoy..... I would love it a lot if he got it, but I doubt the voters will actually see just how valuable of a player he is.
This is why the nfl needs a coach selection for the pro bowl like the what nba does for the all star selection cuz players are always getting snubbed because their not media popular like smith
I love the way one of the announcer described Harrison Smith. He's Mike Zimmers fixer upper, because he can go anywhere and do anything to disrupt the offense.
Smith is the best free roaming S in the NFl, most likely, u could easily put Jenkins up there as well and I’m not sure that he isn’t as good as Smith. Chancellor could be but he’s on the downhill. Best “center field” S is Earl Thomas. That’s just my opinion, I’m sure there are plenty of other guys out there who could make top, I just don’t know of them.
He is an animal full of raw talent. However I feel like Malcolm Jenkins would be a better dpoy candidate. He makes everyone around him better. While listed as a safety he also lines up as a Linebacker, cornerback, and occasionally a defensive end. Jenkins also is a blitz God and can lock someone down in coverage. I'm not saying that the Eagles don't have a top 5 defense but Jenkins is doing it with a worse defense.
Smith makes everyone around him A LOT better, and can play nearly every defensive position at a really high level. Without Smith, this Vikings defense wouldn't be the same.
Run support play no. 2 , he blows up former college teammate TJ Jones, and tackles former college teammate Theo Riddick....... That had to feel good hahah
The fact that Harrison Smith is not a Pro Bowler, is a JOKE!!! WTF man? Snubbed by the voters, but if the players had a vote for a all star the way they do in Baseball, He would for sure get in on the Players' vote for a Probowl. In fact, the Vikings have 5 probowl players on their defense, not 3. I think Smith was overlooked, because he doesn't have the crazy INT numbers from years past, buy why??? because people don't throw in his direction successfully much.
Irish pride baby... On that 1 play, Harrison Smith hit TJ Jones and Theo Riddick of the Lions. All three Notre Dame boys. And that's not counting Golden Tate and Kyle Rudolph who were not on the field!!! Irish Fills the NFL rosters
Cameron Bierman Fans know he's not underrated, beside the one's who snubbed him in the pro bowl which makes me think is fixed, but it's the league as a whole that makes him one of, if not, the most underrated player in the NFL.
Twins simple, all the DBs they love talking about didn't have a good season, so why nobody talking about Slay? Who lead the league in pass break up 21 & int 8
DSmith92 I don't know which DBs they are hyping up that didn't have a good season lol. Darius Slay is a good corner don't get me wrong, but he is not better than Ramsey or Rhodes. Did you ever think those 8 interceptions came off of bad QBs?
U know why he is not well knowed it a because he is White Not to be racist But it's facts I mean Harrison Smith is so versatile he Can play the run just as good as anybody he Can cover tight ends He drop back and play zone Like he is Closest To Troy polamou In Versatile
Harrison smith has always been a beast, idk why people are just now discovering him
Yah not flashing, just badass. You hope to have a guy like that roaming around.
It's because he's White
He makes the All Pro team but misses the Pro Bowl. Makes no sense
Ice Cream Truck Casual fans don't know who he is
Michael Jordan The GOAT Yeah they do😂😂
Jeff O. They don't tho. Matter of fact casual fans don't know many defensive players period because they aren't typically the ones scoring.
A-Lock I like you because your a Panthers fan but , but it depends of how Casual the “Casual” fans are to know because how else would they know the other Defensive players in the Pro bowl
Bias fans are bias
Harrison Smith is definitely underrated
Detroit Fan95 respect
Reading this two years later harrison is still in my opinion one of the most underrated safties in the leauge
The hitman
Yet didn't make the pro bowl. Shame on you voters
Landon Collins and Malcolm Jenkins are definitely more deserving. Other than that yea he got snubbed. Almost as bad as Jason Kelce.
Getz99 gg but he did get 1st team all pro. Which is the best you can get besides defensive player of the year and nfl mvp
Max McGowan How are they more deserving? No they're not. Please
I don't understand how they were more deserving. He got first team All pro
Hopefully none of the Vikings will play in the pro bowl this year
Him, Aaron Donald, and Bobby Wagner were the 3 best defensive players at their general positions. DL LB AND DB.
Shazier is bettee than Wagner
Lfeezy and kuechly is better than shazier
Ryland Cisco shazier before he got injured was ahead of everyone for dpoy
Ryland Cisco and whens the last time luke kueckly had interceptions 4 games in a row at the LB position
Lfeezy if you look at their career stats, kuechly is far ahead everyone besides Wagner who trails luke closer in some categories.
Snubbed from pro bowl. Underrated asf , I don’t see how people put Landon, Earl, Jenkins, and Eric berry over him. #1 Safety in the league. He can do everything literally. 100% correct
Sadly since Harrison Smith is on the Vikings and doesn’t get much love, if he was on a team like the Seahawks, Steelers, Patriots (Teams with a lot of bandwagon fans ) he would get love. Once my Vikings win the SB, he will finally be recognized by fans and he will get the love he deserves.
said by people that has bears player on their picture profile
Narar Ordfo your probably a bandwagon to😂 look at your profile picture of the bears
Boii said win the SB 🤔
Maybe his profile pic is just showing a Bears guy getting ransacked by Smith for a loss.
I know teams that do not have sb yet don't get to have recognized players
I do not want to be the guy in charge of deciding between Smith and Donald for DPOY
wow he is better than i thought he was...and he's my pfp
Grear breakdown. The dude is legit
You just got to love those Grear breakdowns!
MVP!!!!! Give him his just due...
Brain is like the one guy in the media who gives Smith love. Everyone forgets about him but he's a beast
Yes I posted the same link in like 7 different columns but I'm just mad at how underrated he is...
I posted it again
my first reaction when i read the pro bowl roster was that he got snubbed hard
TexasKing100 Along with Glover Quinn
Harrison Smith will be one of the best Safety's to play in the NFL when its all said and done.
Fredrick Douglas respect
Poet Anderson 17 ints in 6 years which isnt bad at all but one of the best to ever do it at safety? Sorry not even close. Dude is 29 already an compared to the greats of ed reed, ronnie lott, rod Woodson. It's not even close.

Here's another stat for you. In 2017 Harrison Smith missed 2 tackles. Ed Reed missed 27 over a three year span..
@@vBosch so you are comparing one of the best do ever do it in ed reed too harrison smith? I never said smith isnt a good safety but not in the same company as reed. So your comment is invalid.
The Vikings defensive backs are huge.
Him and devin McCourty there pretty underrated
Great work, Baldy. You're one of my favorite NFL media guys, you know your stuff. Thanks for bringing my boy Harry into the limelight with this breakdown, SKOL VIKES.

Mariota has more interceptions than touchdowns!!! 🤣
Looking like qb numbers from the 1970s
koolcat420 Jacksonville did that
koolcat420 Case Keenum made the playoffs
He was also battling injuries all year. Lay off the dude. He played great in the playoffs vs good teams
And I don’t see how he is relevant to this video
Best run support and Blitzing safety in the league. He doesn't jump coverages alot and isn't aggressive in interceptions which is why people don't know much about him. He gives up less big plays than any other safety because he doesnt jump coverages.
You know who else isn't getting love, slay. #1 in pass brake ups, and tied #1 in ints, and he went up against ab, jones, a.j, the vikings wr's twice, packers wr's twice, and mike evens.
Sithepig hey so did Rhodes.
Zachary Jayson Bjerkness was Rhodes was #1 in pass and ints?
Rhodes was not, but that has one hell of a lot to do with the fact that Rhodes is so good they don't throw it his direction very often.
Michael Loidolt your right that he's good, but slay had a better year thats all.
Rowan Walch but slay makes them pay for throwing his way
this is why they're going to the superbowl
Cams Vikings ahhh!!! they're not the Pats. Lmao!!!
No they aren't. They're a better overall team. Patriots obviously have the Vikings beat with playoff experience, but the patriots talent wise aren't better. Not to mention vikes can still make the Super Bowl if the patriots do lol different conferences
Adrian Gomez Vikes are in the NFC, Pats are in the AFC... So both teams can make it to the Superbowl lol.
trha2222 tell that to the giants team that beat them twice already
trha2222 we'll see what happen this year
Vikings defense is overpowered. And this will be augmented in that Stadium in the Playoffs. Good luck NFC teams. #Whodat
lol
Not just Defensive player of the year, but League MVP
SKOL
Harrison Smith I the best all around safety in the league. If he was on another team like the cowboys, he would be a hyped up so much more
Cowboys fan here...n it's sad this man ain't gttn the love he deserves.... ridiculous..n if u a football fan in general..he been official for at least 2 yrs straight just off my eye test....best fckn safety out thr
Omg..the greatest football narration I've ever heard. You need to be on t.v....that was awesome.
I want to see him try to cover Gronk, would be a very interesting match up
no i realize that, you cant single cover gronk for a whole game, but I thought Eric Berry did as good a job as possible vs gronk week one before he went down, and Smith is better than Berry imo, just think it will be pretty interesting to see.
absolutely, and his catch in traffic ability is crazy
Barr would be better suited.
most underrated player in the NFL
Finally!!!!!!! He deserves even more praise
That was some passionate ass film breakdown my man... nicely done
Yeah, I remember when Jared Allen's 22 sacks on a season was not enough for dpoy..... I would love it a lot if he got it, but I doubt the voters will actually see just how valuable of a player he is.
IMO, if he continues his pace, he should be in the conversation of greatest safety of all time
This is why the nfl needs a coach selection for the pro bowl like the what nba does for the all star selection cuz players are always getting snubbed because their not media popular like smith
He's actually the reason why I have the Viking's defense on my fantasy team
I love the way one of the announcer described Harrison Smith. He's Mike Zimmers fixer upper, because he can go anywhere and do anything to disrupt the offense.
Harrison smith is the saitama of nfl safeties so underrated he is the brains of the Vikings defense
Not bad for someone who didn't even make the pro bowl, time to give Smith more credit.
Harrison Smith's Stats from Regular Season: 78 Tackles, 1.5 Sacks, 5 Ints, 12 Passes Defended
Edit: Career High on Passes Defended.
Make more videos like this nfl great video 👍🏻
Who cares if he missed the pro bowl. He won’t be playing that week even if he made it ;)
All the Vikings will be busy that Week!!! Skol
What, will he be playing in a madden tournament on February 4th??
Too bad he got cooked by Ertz 😂
brian gullickson
Busy with what??????
Yeah he just got a pick 6 in the pro bowl....
Harrison Smith got straight up snubbed from the Pro Bowl selection
its because hes a viking, nobody considers
the vikes. I believe in you 22 #Purplenation
There's 4 Vikings All pros. Thielen, Griffen, Barr, Rhodes.
This narrator is so into it. I love it
Smith is the best free roaming S in the NFl, most likely, u could easily put Jenkins up there as well and I’m not sure that he isn’t as good as Smith. Chancellor could be but he’s on the downhill. Best “center field” S is Earl Thomas. That’s just my opinion, I’m sure there are plenty of other guys out there who could make top, I just don’t know of them.
Yeah. He got screwed. He's a beast!
I say we nominate Harry for the Pro Football HOF because he is a legend in his own time.
Hit man is the real Harrison Smith.
No harry the hitman is a better candidate
A comment by someone who doesn’t know football... what else is new
Smith makes everyone around him A LOT better, and can play nearly every defensive position at a really high level. Without Smith, this Vikings defense wouldn't be the same.
He plays like this Madden as well. A Lights out safety.
Run support play no. 2 , he blows up former college teammate TJ Jones, and tackles former college teammate Theo Riddick....... That had to feel good hahah
This video is Amazing.
This man is getting no love!! They’re treating him like a daLLas cowgirL player
This video needs some background music
Nobody talks about Eddie jackson
Tbh it's Because the bears are horrible and one of the most boring teams to watch
The Hit Man!!
What about Darius slay he’s had an amazing season
Hitman deserved it but it's on the voters ppl voting for names instead of talent smh
Most underrated player in the league! Harry the Hitman Smith!
Harrison Smith goes through TJ Jones to tackle Theo Riddick. Am I watching a Notre Dame reunion? xD
Don't mess with Dirty Harry!
Thats my boy #22 SKOL VIKINGS!
100% agree
He made it the next year
Bobby Wagner Seattle Seahawks! Bet he has more tackles, I know he's over 100 solo tackles this season! He's the man, really!
Wagner is a LB, this segment is about CBs.
He’s there good brother!!!!
Harrison Smith Superbowl MVP
first team all pro. congrats harrison. SKOL
Great season until the NFCCG. They all pooped the bed in that one, but Smith was seemingly the one beaten on every big play the Eagles had.
Why so out of breath bro, after every sentence 😂
devin mccourty very underrated
Tell me something i don’t know
More like the best team in the NFC no one's talking about.
If anything, Zimmer made Smith even better before Zimmer was HC of Vikings Allah X. Rhodes.
Baldi needs a pop filter on that mic or maybe some compression to even out the loud/soft of that commentary.
So this has been what Jesse Ventura has been up to for voice work
I might get him madden before his card value skyrockets to 6 figures...
Heck yeah!
They also did this video for Mike Daniels... still Cameron Jordan is getting no respect
Cameron Jordan made the pro bowl at least. Smith got completely ripped off
His dad gets all kind of respect here in Minnesota...........great TE for the Vikings. Remember him well
Cam needs to come here and play for his dad's old team! Lol
Irish pride baby... On that 1 play, Harrison Smith hit TJ Jones and Theo Riddick of the Lions. All three Notre Dame boys. And that's not counting Golden Tate and Kyle Rudolph who were not on the field!!! Irish Fills the NFL rosters
I’ve seen and heard a lot of people talking about him, it irritates me how many players are “underrated”.
Cameron Bierman Fans know he's not underrated, beside the one's who snubbed him in the pro bowl which makes me think is fixed, but it's the league as a whole that makes him one of, if not, the most underrated player in the NFL.
Excellent by hawerison smith
Um... Slay, nobody is talking about the CBs now that all your current pro bowl DB didn't finish the season smh
What are you even trying to say? lol
Twins facts
DSmith92 i cant even comprehend what you're saying, but Harrison deserves the long overdue notoriety bud
The guy talking is so hype.
Proooo boowwll
This review is slow and uneventful :/
Rather watch Brett Kollman
Yeah
But he will never be better than the GOAT #21 #RIPTaylor
Brett's video was way way better.
My dude was getting so aggressive
aaron donald is defensive MVP
Agree
I wanna be his massage therapist..
Aaron Donald DPOY
Shisui lmao!!! It's Chandler Jones with 17 sacks all by himself and lead the NFL.
Vic Beasley Lead Nfl in sacks last year too
Shisui this year is different than last year.
Aaron Donald most dominant player in the league
Shisui you dreaming. Lmao!!!
This guy is talking like smith is his son that he's proud of 😂
*cough* Glover Quin *cough*
U know why he is not well knowed it a because he is White Not to be racist But it's facts I mean Harrison Smith is so versatile he Can play the run just as good as anybody he Can cover tight ends He drop back and play zone Like he is Closest To Troy polamou In Versatile
