She is so beautiful 😍💖 She has such a regal quality about her. I always see her as like a beautiful queen from a highly spiritually advanced society that decided to produce music for us mere mortals.
What a wonderful interview. Thank you for introducing us to this elegant lady Sweetwater. I hope Mitch invited her to dinner I did notice extra gel in the hair : )
Thanks Sweetwater again for a fantastic interview. Very inspiring. I am definitely planning on a vacation next year for Gear Fest. It sounds like a musicians version of Disney World! Cheers...
I'm taking Berklee's online course, Sylvia Massy: Creative Approaches to Recording and Producing Music. As tame as this lady seems, don't let her fool you. She's wild af and I love it.
Wow!! I was busy during GearFest and Missed a lot of the great presentations like the one with Dave Smith, Tom Oberheim, and Roger Linn. I didn't even realize that Sylvia Massy was at GearFest.. What a great interview. I can't wait for the Recording Unhinged book. After being part of a my first GearFest as a Sweetwater employee, I'm mad at myself for not attending any before working here.
Really wish they would have touched on T00L a bit. I know she's done much more than T00L records, but she has so much knowledge of early T00L that needs to be recorded and archived since there is such a vague and unilluminated history of that great band.
when someone as old as these two meet someone else who is just as old it's like two highlanders running into each other, i'm waiting for them to start battling "YOU ARE OLD WHY ARE YOU STILL ALIVE"
Love this lady! she is so amazing!! Down here in Miami there is guy named Gran Hechicero who I totally think is a mad scientist/musician/producer, literally made his own instruments! real nice guy, but his imagination and universe is wild!
I hate the way being an asshole is rewarded in this industry, and treated as if it’s somehow a necessary element to creating great art. I don’t care how talented Prince was, there’s no excuse for treating your engineer, or anyone else for that matter, with that kind of contemptuous disregard. Prima donnas will behave in the way they’ve become accustomed to getting away with. The arts need to drop this idea that rudeness is part and parcel with genius. Plenty of enormously talented people treat their colleagues with respect and consideration, so it should be the bare minimum expected of everyone.

15:47 for one of the most well-researched questions and brilliant answers in the history of production lore.

Come on dude, physical comparisons are one thing, but don't use videos like this to make snide political comments.
What a pointless shitty comment.

Do I see some flirting going on here? haha, nice...
They're both attractive people and probably in the same age range, so it's highly possible there's a bit of flirting happening.
