I remember hearing that UFO sound early spring when i was kid, and finally sat still long enough to see the bird in flight. Went to my bird book and spent hours, but found it. Nobody believed me and most dont know this bird exists. Heard it trout fishing again this spring, they really are up high when doing this sound.
"But when the snipes fly, they're whining and weeping by the tail feathers." A made up quote by me, describing the noise made by the tail feather vibrations when these birds fly. What the actions they do? Mentioned. Obviously a unique sound and action found in some species of snipes. Nature is unique and interesting as itself. Loved it, interested by the uniqueness of this bird. The "whining" (or precisely and what most people call, drumming) from the tail feathers while flying in slow motion sounds terrifying and mysterious tho. Nature can also sometimes sound terrifying, I believe.

@@gerfaut7dh287 Oh, it's okay. You said it was a beautiful video UNTIL the flight, which means the video was beautiful up to the point of the flight, but then wasn't good anymore.

Common snipe. Singing bird, Hello, I'm from Costa Rica in Central America and looking for this bird, I want to tell you that one of these identical ones reached the roof of my house. After many hours 6 to be more exact, a person climbed on the roof to take it, but he flew very little to the street; I went out and I was able to grab it. I searched for many hours for a place of refuge for birds and finally I found it, I left it there. It is a migratory bird and it is not from these places, it seems something had in one of its wings, the biologist will see it tomorrow to see what happened to it. Sorry for the length, but it's the same bird, I can even send you photos, I still think I don't know how it got to my roof. Thank you.
Spero di poter vivere un giorno..in un luogo dove poter osservare dal vivo..questa meraviglia..in italia questo uccello si chiama..beccaccino...nel pieno rispetto di questi uccelli e di questa natura...grazie..💙💜💖
Sorry, just did some searching, and seems like sandhill cranes migrate up to Canada to breed. I’m on a lake, and it seems they like that habitat, and they also sound similar to that. BUT, never once in my life have I seen one. They are quite large to go unnoticed, especially if they migrate in large groups. While it does sound very similar to the noises I heard, I would be very surprised if that’s what it was.
Dear friends, thank you for your kind comments!

The bird chirping at the beginning has a good rhythm to it. Someone can make an epic song from it.

Can you think of something else that would resemble that in Ontario, Canada?
